I was raised in Saratoga so I kind of go off of the older name of The Saratoga Inn. Since I have…read morefamily nearby there isn't much need to get a room here or any other lodging business in town. But I do enjoy coming here for lunch. I usually go to the bar section of the place in which they have their own craft beer. The lunches are good and have hearty portions. And often my visits can have an exhaustive nature to them so escaping to this bar which is fairly quiet during the day for a pint is very nice. Getting a craft beer pint reminds me of where I live now where defaulted beer that everyone associates with beer drinking isn't the norm. It's been a while since I have had an evening meal here but I recently have had their breakfast buffet which is very nice. The food is nice and fresh and flavorful! Last year my father passed away and we did a private catering event in the dining room which was very nice. They got us in on very short notice and the event went quite smoothly. The organizer was extremely helpful and organized and laid out all the options for the event we were needing to do after the funeral. So that went quite smoothly. I am not sure when my next visit back will be but if it's a trip of a recreational and casual nature I will definitely stop by the bar for a pint of beer!

This is a resort in name only, what it is you will find is a motel that has some stone hot tubs and…read morea pool that's been repurposed in to a hot pool. The room and bathroom were dismal, small and abused. At the price they charged $250 for a pool side queen (definitely not a queen bed), over priced, nickel and dimed me by charging 3% more because I reserved with credit card. When I requested to change the card on file they claimed "policy" of $10 per day of cancellations before they could change the card. This is obviously a locally depressed economy where they are short staffed and chiseling you for every cent they can squeeze out of you. Staff in the restaurants were nice but obviously overwhelmed, the "included" breakfast purportedly has an order-able menu but due to lack of staffing wasn't an option. In short I won't be back, it's obvious the only folks enjoying this place are the owners who likely fly in on the private jets the come right over the pool at 200 feet.

Hands down, one of my favorite vacation spots!!!…read more My sister and I came here several years ago and stayed for 3 nights prior to continuing on a western road trip, but we knew we wanted to come back to the Vee Bar again. Flash forward three years - not only did we come back but this time, we stayed the entire week! We were so glad we got to experience the latter part of the week at the ranch - inclusive of trapshooting, archery, a day-long mountain ride, and an overnight camp-out! It was really humbling that the wranglers remembered us from our previous visit, too; we really felt a part of their family! Speaking of the staff - they are phenomenal and VERY accommodating! The on-site chef is AMAZING and provides gluten free/vegetarian/etc. options during the buffet-style meals; the wranglers ensure you are comfortable at all times; Lori at the front desk was very responsive via email with my pre-travel questions; and housekeeping made our cabin looking fresh every day. All were very welcoming and friendly. Vee Bar puts together a very well-organized itinerary for the week too. As a planner, I personally love this. They have multiple activities for all activity levels and you're more than welcome to "skip" an activity if you wish. From horseback riding to hiking, they truly have something for everyone, and it's very evident they put a lot of time into creating a well-rounded trip experience. The reason why we chose Vee Bar initially (compared to other dude ranches) was due to its proximity to the Denver Airport. Now, I will gladly continue revisiting due to the GREAT experiences and memories made there. If you're wanting a true western experience, I couldn't recommend Vee Bar enough. I truly cannot say enough good things about this ranch!
