This thrift shop just south of downtown on Stone Ave. is a true hidden gem. They keep very limited…read morehours (just Thurs, Fri., Sat. 11am-3pm) so I felt like I was walking into a treasure trove that rarely gets shopped! It's also a lot bigger than it would appear from the street. Around the corner is the Treasure Shop, also run by the Symphony Women's Association, which has the fancier furniture and antiques but Second Fiddle has tons of more reasonably priced housewares, clothing, and knick-knacks. LOTS of great women's clothing, purses, and shoes in many styles from vintage to modern, with more emphasis on the 60s, 70s, 80s. There is a dressing room and the women running things were sweet and friendly. Standard prices for most items are posted around the store and at the register, but make sure you bring cash as they do not have a card reader! Proceeds seem to support Symphony education and outreach programs, so you can feel good about spending your cash.

The shop depends on donations to stay open. Donations include clothing, decorative items, jewelry, small electronics, furniture, and a variety of other items. Donations can be accepted from you during regular business hours. The hours open are 11a to 3p Wed, Thur, and Fri. You never know what "Treasures" you might find so stop by and visit the shop. A nice staff of friendly volunteers take care of the merchandise and the shop. I am sure that they would like to see you.

This would be in my top favorites of thrift stores so far. It's quite large, there's opportunity to really wander for a long time. So many items! Kitchenware, furniture, decor, linens, craft supplies of all assorts, beauty products and accessories, bathroom to living anything, clothing for all (far more limited for men and kids), shoes, baby sections, plants and pots / gardening , outdoors, art, collectibles etc etc etc!!! I mean wow, you can wander for hours. Lots to look at. I'd say the prices are overall pretty good, sometimes I found items I felt were far too high in price. There are clearance sections too. The staff has been the same both times and they are super kind and enjoyable! The space itself I would say is well kept, there are changing rooms and maybe a bathroom but we did not need that so I'm unsure. There is even a free little snack and drink section heading out the door. Take note that when you enter, the parking right in front is the most precarious. It's right off the road and on an angle. But if you go around to the east side of the building, plenty of parking and possibly shaded too depending on the time of the day.

They had a fair number of items including clothing, house goods, furniture and some other things. It was spread out so easy to get around. It was clean. They had quite a few pairs of shoes, shirts-both male and female in a variety of sizes, dresses, etc. The furniture was a lot of shelving but also dining table and chairs. When we were ready to check out, the person was very friendly and helpful-offering to wrap the more fragile items which was really nice as most thrift stores donʻt offer to do that. Prices were quite reasonable and we found some things we were looking for. It was worth the visit for us.

The cord had a barely visible tear in it and the owner, Salvatore, insisted on changing out the entire wire and plug so all was safe and new before taking it home. So kind and generous. My son found two champagne glasses. Belinda must have overheard me mention they were for his girlfriend and, to our surprise, wrapped them up with beautiful cellophane paper and placed them in a gift bag for him.
