Many of them are stressed out, overworked, and suffering from burn out. It's these types of conditions that cause doctors to make mistakes and grow apathetic towards their patients, especially those in "factory" medical centers where the objective is to churn out as many appointments a day as possible. Dr. Frolov is none of those things. He is a genuine medical professional who takes the time to give his patients the attention they deserve. I have never, ever felt rushed during one of our appointments. He sits, listens intently, asks relevant questions, and makes a real, thorough attempt to get at the heart of whatever may be troubling you. He has a wide breadth of medical experience, but is not above pulling up recent medical articles from the web or referring you to a specialist if the situation warrants. His objective is to make you better. What I appreciate about Dr. Frolov, in addition to his expertise, are his bedside manners. He is polite and reassuring. This may not be as important to other people, but for me, the relationship between a patient and a doctor is a sacred one. My health is a very personal thing and when I bring my ailments, fears, and anxieties to my doctor, I want the comfort of knowing that there is someone very human, very personable on the other side of the table. Now, I don't want to delude anyone. Dr. Frolov keeps a pretty cool demeanor most of the time. I don't expect that he's going to wow anyone with his exuberance. He's there for a purpose, but he does it in a friendly way that makes you feel at ease. And in an industry where those basic niceties are getting harder to come by, I'm glad Dr. Frolov hasn't wavered. Lastly, because it needs to be said, Dr. Frolov keeps his appointments reasonably on time.

Because my husband had rx's that were due for refill, he tried repeatedly to reach the office to make an appointment and left numerous messages, but his calls were never returned. In addition, three years ago he had a thyroid nodule that another dr. Had recommended be scanned, and dr zamani refused to refer him for a scan because he didn't believe it was necessary. Mission hospital recently found it on an unrelated X-ray and recommended an. ultrasound. Fortunately, my husband has found a new dr. Who was able to retrieve his records (apparently he knows how to use a computer) and ordered an ultrasound which in fact revealed several nodules, one requiring a biopsy. Maybe dr. Zamani s lack of loyalty to long time patients is what my husband needed to make a change to a positive change in medical care.

The biggest downside was the wait--I wasn't seen until more than an hour after my scheduled…read moreappointment. The staff was otherwise great: the front desk was courteous, the doctor was professional, and the respiratory therapist explained everything clearly and made an effort to build rapport. I had the first appointment of the day with my PCP. I was told to arrive 15 minutes prior to the…read moreappointment, which wasn't hard to do since I live nearby. However, my PCP was 20 minutes late. Traffic, I guess. I actually heard her come in so she wasn't just sitting in the office somewhere. I like this office for convenience but if I'm expected to be early, I at least expect the doctor to be on time, especially if they are only spending 10 minutes with me. I was there for my annual physical exam and was told to undress even though I wasn't there for a well woman exam. I do a well woman with my OB/Gyn. Well, it would have been nice to know I didn't need to undress completely. Needless to say, I was examined and then I was given a referral to a specialist when my request for additional testing was denied. The specialist would need to order the additional tests, according to my doctor. I left with my lab order for bloodwork a little miffed that I had to make another appointment but such is the state of the healthcare system these days.

When I was describing why I needed pain meds she literally laughed at me and said no! She sent me away and told me if I wanted pain medication I would have to see various specialists for the ailments I was describing to her and she proceeded to say that she will not be willing to medicate me for the problems I was describing ... After making appointments with the various specialists, then having to wait for appointments and still being in pain, it turns out I have needed three various surgeries since seeing her and the surgeries were all for the exact reasons she laughed at me and refused to treat my pain seriously over .... I now no longer need pain medication because I have had the problems fixed. If I would have continued seeing her, I would have just lived in Pain and never got the problems fixed since she thought it was comical that I was having the medical issues I was describing to her and did not take me seriously. I would not recommend this Dr. at all!
