I walked one kilometer to eat here because, first, parking was impossible to find near my hotel and…read moredid not want to give up my space, and, second, the menu and photos made it appear that the food was nearly authentic Mexican. The server spoke a little English, so I ordered a small pitcher of margarita, a half-order of nachos (€4.75) , and the Tacos Tijuana (€11.00). The margarita was too sweet and had little alcohol. Meh! The server told me that I could not order just chips and salsa and I thought he said that I could order a 'half' order of nachos, but when the nachos arrived, it was a full order (€9.50), obviously a miscommunication, so I let it slide. The chili was not bad and it came with a small cup of guacamole and cheese sauce, but the chips were not house-made as appearing in the photos I saw, they were Tostitos. Had I known, I would not have bothered. Meh #2! The tacos arrived looking pretty good, four corn tortillas with a decent portion of carne asada and a liquified guacamole with small cups of green salsa and pico de gallo. They were pretty tasty, but four small tacos for €11.00 was not exactly a TravelValue. Overall, the food was decent, not great, and the service good, so I will go easy on them even though I was told the chef was from Tijuana. Meh...be I should not have walked so far for what I got. Taco Tuesday ... HOOAH!…read more We saw the sign for Taco Tuesday with tacos ranging from €1 to €2 and the menu had some things my wife would like, so we asked for a table outside. The gentleman told us that he would be right with us, but we waited 15 minutes to be seated, too long. We were hungry and it was late, so we stuck around. I asked for a Margarita (€7), not knowing the price, even though I had asked for a Drinks menu, not available, something I hardly ever do because that is a sure sign that the drinks are expensive. It came in a small glass, maybe 8 ounces, and was filled with ice, having taken maybe three small sips to finish it off, 3-4 ounces of liquid max and extremely weak ... FUBAR! My wife's first choice, the Philly Cheesesteak (€11) was not available, so she decided on the Pulled Pork Sandwich (€9). I wanted the Al Pastor tacos (€1.50), but they were also out, crap, so I ordered two Carnitas (€1.50 each) and two Steak tacos (€2 each). My better half did not like the taste of the pulled pork, but it tasted fine to me. Her french fries were abundant, but were too salty, even for those of us who like salt on our fries. My tacos were on small 'street taco' tortillas with a reasonable amount of meat, but only some onions and radishes, no cilantro. They were actually pretty good, but not filling, so I polished off what was left of my wife's pulled pork sandwich and a few fries. For €1 to €2 a pop, I was not complaining. The service was good once we got seated and the food was decent, but the lack of available options and the price of my itty-bitty margarita would ensure that we do not return any time soon. Half of the menu offers a good amount of mexican dishes, something that is lacking in this part of Spain. I don't eat mexican food often, so i wont be the best judge if it is good or not. Our table shared quesadillas, chimichangas, flautas, little chorizos and some grilled squid. Overall, the food was good (in my opinion) and when I asked my friend who loves mexican food how it tasted, he said, for Spain standards, it's pretty good. I'm not sure what that meant? Prices and portions match each other. The staff here are very nice. Location is nice, along the riverfront of Puerto. There is a carpark steps away from this place at a very cheap price. I think we paid less than €1 for 2 hours. I probably won't come again here on my own, but if it was a group outing, i would not be opposed to joining.

The other seven people at our table loved it though and I suppose that has to count for something, right? First off, location. This is a really neat place to be in Puerto -- kind of like a warehouse district, it's located on a walking-only street and surrounded by lots of neat vendor stalls. This provided something to do after dinner and we have a great time checking out the different wares. Additionally, we had one of the gypsy tours stop right in front of our table -- that was a hoot! Second off, sangria. Didn't like it and switched to wine. Third off, menu. There is some real variety here -- I'd say my favorite was the chicken flauta. We ate all around the menu .. lots to try; kids loved the quesidillas. Lastly: the check. $120E for eight people, including alcohol -- not complaining one bit. In conclusion: I wouldn't go out of my way to return, but I wouldn't avoid friends if they asked us to dine with them here again =) EDIT: forgot to mention the service, which was very friendly!
