I found this spot on Yelp when looking for a shop that looked like they provided good haircuts. I'm very particular about my hair so I really try and make sure to find somewhere that looks like they know what they are doing. I saw a few reviews mention Ernesto by name so I locked in an appointment with them through their site. He was ready right on time, and was meticulous with my haircut. I got a hot and cold towel, which was a first (most placed only do hot), and I am very happy with the cut I got. I don't live in the area but if I was a local I'd very likely make this my spot. I can't regarding the other barbers but Ernesto said they are all very good so I'd take his word for it. I'll definitely come back whenever I'm in the area and need a cut. read more

Based on the reviews I decided to give this place a chance. I spoke directly with the barber (Ernesto) in advance and provided him with sufficient pictures of the style that I wanted. Trusting that he is a "licensed professional" I assumed he would deliver on that. The haircut he gave me was terrible and uneven and it looked nothing like what I asked for. I expressed to him right on the spot that I was dissatisfied and his only response to me was that "he was human" giving no other solution to the problem that he created. If someone asks you for a specific cut and you aren't capable of doing it be upfront about it so they can go somewhere else! I called the following day to request a refund and he had someone else answer the phone and say he was not in the barbershop and to call back nearly 2 weeks later. I could tell he was there because I heard him in the background of the call as he was telling the person what to say. This place is very unprofessional, that was my first and last time ever stepping foot in there. If you want a bad haircut this place is for you. read more

I came to Valhalla Cave today and received a fade haircut from Ernesto. He gave me an awesome haircut and I'll definitely be going to him again. Ernesto opened the shop only eight months ago and is the only barber currently, so the shop is pretty quiet. Ernesto is easy to talk with though if you'd rather chat. One cool thing about this shop is that Ernesto has a small cocktail bar and will be more than happy to make you an old fashioned if you ask (or he might even offer one!). So overall if you want a great haircut at a relaxed shop then I'd strongly recommend coming here. read more
