This is for the Things Remembered in the oxmoor center. Me and my Fiancé wanted to get his father a…read moredecanter for Christmas, so we stopped there asked about it. After discussing and looking at some different styles we decided on this specific one. After talking to the manager himself about fonts, he suggested old English (or something like that, not sure he wrote it down before we could). So we have it ordered we were told a week. So a week and half passes, I call and checked and they said it should be here soon. Then two weeks had passed since we ordered it, so we went up there and come to find out it was not even ordered. That was after we gave this young lady the last name, and she brought the same decanter with a completely different last name. So we go through the process of the manger trying to find out to order and finally finds one in Indiana, has it shipped there and promised it would be on Tuesday. There on Wednesday they received it and it was broken. He promised to find another one and over night it. Well we received a call today, the following Friday, that it was ready and has been engraved. We drove a little over an hour because of traffic just to get this one item. We got there, and being in a hurry to get back, and not being there beside my fiancé when he received the decanter, it was not "inspected". We get home, another hour of driving, and when we pulled it out so it could be wrapped for Christmas, it was noticed immediately from both of us how uneven and crooked the engraving was. It was a Roman numeral so it kind of had to be pretty straight, it's pretty obvious that it was lousy work and I'm not even sure how it could be engraved so poorly when they have machines to do the engraving. It was clearly either overlooked or hoped we would not notice it. I called them to talk to them about it and the lady on the phone side she would get her manager after I had asked if there was anyway we could fix this or if I could take it to a closer Things Remembered, and then hung up. I have never received such poor service from anywhere, especially any other Things Remembered store I have ever given my business too. This will be the last time I'll ever go back to the oxmoor store and the only reason they have one star is cause you have to rate a minimum of one. Thank you Things Remembered staffing at the Oxmoor Center for showing me what terrible customer service is like.

I've visited this store serval times over the year whether it was for fantasy football trophies/updates, picking up trophies for a sports team I was involved in and even recently to pick up plaques made for sponsors for a large event I hosted. The pricing and options here are always above the rest of the local awards/trophy shops and the people really make this shop worth the visit. Every worker from the owners to the register clerks are super nice, friendly, helpful and appear to be all about community. Which I feel is an important trait for a local trophy shop. Overall awards ceremony is the only place I'll go for awards needs and has been that way for a long time and likely will continue for the foreseeable future.
