All this and the cost is reasonable especially given the quality?!?! Amazing! Tad (the manager and/or owner) is from Britain and speaks Spanish, Italian, English and Polish! All the bartenders (Mario from Italy was also there - and travels the world for good bartender gigs) are welcoming to first time visitors and to the local regular customers. The drink list is changing all the time to include incredible classic line ups, like an excellent basil smash, pornstar martini, old fashioned, Moscow Mule. Some new takes on classics, like the Vieux Carré, Sazerac, Ramos Gin Fizz (a labor of love) - all from New Orleans / NoLA USA are to come! Plus there are a few beers on tap and in bottle, all for a reasonable price especially given the quality! I'm a bit jealous that I'm leaving Correlejo before the next iteration is released but I'll be back ASAP! But don't worry- they can make anything you ask as long as the ingredients are in stock - try a classic Paper Plane or Whisky Sour w Egg White foam for instance! On Friday & Saturdays they usually have great DJs, a pool table is available as well. The decor is dark, cool, and swanky with some nods to British classic artists on the wall. The other guests are friendly and welcoming too - great vibe! Including earlier this week when I had dinner on Lanzorate at a Michelin stared restaurant, this was my favorite cocktail bar experience on all of the Canary Islands I visited (Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzorate, and Fuerteventura). After going through some TripAdvisor recommendations I found this little gem. It can take a while to get served here and I always felt the waiting staff were eager to get away again even if you hadn't actually finished your order yet, however I have also found if you put the charm offensive on them and smile at them a lot they will eventually thaw. Kill them with kindness I always say. Plus, what's the rush guys, you're on holiday, bloody relax! I sampled beautiful Rioja in this place, the food was of very high standard, my highlight being the biggest freshest mussels I had seen in a while and their gin concoctions come in massive goblets with generous amounts of gin and quality tonic mixers. I ended up visiting Tasca la Raspa three times during my stay. Dinner starts at around 8pm but ensure you arrive a bit earlier, maybe for an aperitif, as the place will fill up fairly quickly.

I would personally recommend the 'Prawns Island Bistro' Chef Special. It's prawns stacked in a liquour / creamy type sauce with rice, and lovely veggies on the side. The main draw card of this spot though? The price. It's crazy good value!!! We're talking 13.75 for three courses!!! And three really, really good courses as well. I would highly recommend the avocado, smoked salmon and orange salad to start and for mains perhaps the sole gratin or even try the rabbit if you don't mind spending some time picking bones! Its also the ideal spot to grab a sandwich at lunchtime or just a bowl of olives to accompany your drink. To add insult to injury...we were offered a free nightcap of schnapps ( on presentation of the full bill despite our complaints and disappointment with the overall meal) ...this consisted of the cheapest brand of "Spar" own brand Apple schnapps ....basically flavoured sugar and water! This is a restaurant which generally has a pretty good reputation and is always busy, but to my mind it is now too "touristy" and they have lost the attention to detail and production of fine dining and good quality food. Please note , as far as I can discern, other reviewers are referring to the adjoining "Bodega" which is part of this establishment but appears to have a more tapas type menu!
