Lets go wine tasting!…read more Such a wonderful experience at the Bodega. We were blown away by their beautiful cactus garden which is located in front of the entrance. The Bodega is quick large and I really enjoyed the informative displays all around walking us through the process of wine making. Once we viewed the nice museum inside the Bodega we walked out to go visit the actual vineyard. It was very impressive, its a place I have never seen before with a very unique style of hole pits for each grape tree. It was very impressive! After we walked around the allowed areas we went inside to their nice tasting room and tasted a few of their unique grape wines. I really enjoyed all of them and we were happy to take some home with us as our souvenir. I would highly recommend visiting one of Spain's oldest vineyard's. It is such a unique experience and such a beautiful one of a kind landscape!

We appreciated learning more about the challenges of grape growing on the island and the unique landscape. Highly recommend booking one of the guided tours - we learned a lot about the terroir and saw some incredible old vines that were untouched by phylloxera. The winery is working on interesting new projects including winter harvest. We enjoyed several of the wines and stayed for some delicious local cheese and ham.

The ambiance is upscale and the restaurant and restrooms were impeccably clean. There is a full bar along with an extensive wine and beer list. I don't eat veal so I didn't try my husband's dish, but the highlight for me was the salmon. Another note... it's located very close to the bus stop offering easy access if you're coming from a different part of the island.

We felt rushed by the staff who were mostly unfriendly and brusque...we had main meals followed by dessert. mains were sole with prawns and lobster sauce..rubbery and tasteless...ribs in barbecue sauce...small portion and lacking in meatiness..grilled Seabass..quite acceptable, however the baked potatoes and vegetables were inedible. We opted for three different desserts, best of which was the chocolate mousse; brownies were completely tough and stale - which was attempted to be disguised by an overload of artificial chocolate sauce; the banoffi pie was equally tasteless with a miserable amount of toffee sauce. To add insult to injury...we were offered a free nightcap of schnapps ( on presentation of the full bill despite our complaints and disappointment with the overall meal) ...this consisted of the cheapest brand of "Spar" own brand Apple schnapps ....basically flavoured sugar and water! This is a restaurant which generally has a pretty good reputation and is always busy, but to my mind it is now too "touristy" and they have lost the attention to detail and production of fine dining and good quality food. Please note , as far as I can discern, other reviewers are referring to the adjoining "Bodega" which is part of this establishment but appears to have a more tapas type menu!

Note: it you live out of sausages and mash potatoes, this might not be your place. There is a Burger King around the corner that might be better aligned with your spectrum of gastronomic tolerance. For food lovers: DO NOT MISS THIS ONE! 1. Food is of the highest level. Michelin star food deeply rooted in the Lanzarote gastronomic richness. The croquetas of banana are totally unexpected and great. The tomates arrugaos are just one of this things you will remember for life. With a salinas of Lanzarote punch that makes it impressive. The codeáis with carabineros is a fishermen dish that they cooked when working at the Sahara's coastal line in the past. Beyond amazing. You would be a total ignorant not to recognize that this is all exceptional. 2. Space: generic but nice in the way it opens to the Barbour. Space for improvement here, 3. Service: just perfect. People here could not be nicer and more fun and helpful. This is quality at its highest.
