This was easily the most disappointing lash experience I've ever had. It started when I showed up early. I was greeted by the tattoo parlor receptionist and took a seat on the couch, being told Elijah was just next door. Three minutes after my appointment was to have started, I got a call from Elijah asking if I was going to show up. Uhhh... I'm at your place right now. ?! She said she would be right over. Twenty two minutes later, she showed up. I was upstairs waiting at her station at this point. She briefly said hi, told me to take off my shoes, and taped my bottom lashes. At this point, she started to gather her materials. I'm sitting there with my lashes taped shut and she's yelling to her assistant that she can't find her black lash adhesive. That she had it Friday but can't find it now. ... you're kidding, right? We're approaching thirty minutes after my appointment time now and it's obvious she never even prepared for my arrival. Finally the adhesive was found and she started lashing away, without asking me about preferred length at all. Whatever - maybe she has looked into what I'd had done previously when I saw her several years ago (also not a particularly positive experience, but I had hoped things had changed with the new location). Turned out not to be the case. As soon as her hands covered my face, the odor of weed and something else offensive assaulted me. The smell of soap was undetectable. From a customer service perspective, I wish I could give negative stars. From a finished product perspective... let's just say my boyfriend who has never commented on changes in my appearance except in a "that looks nice, dear" way told me this morning (just shy of three days after my appointment) that i should go elsewhere for lashes next time. My lashes are falling out and while they don't yet look bare and embarrassing, they also don't look full and beautiful three days after application. Lashes here are a waste of your money. read more

I had gotten my lashes done here awhile back and of course I got the groupon. A good steal I thought! She was very nice and made me comfortable, and after my lashes were done I observed them with a mirror she had given me. I told her the lashes looked kind of bare and that a lot of my lashes were still visible. She then told me that was what the groupon was for, a "classic lash set." I didn't argue with her and proceeded to tip her 15% for her service and left. The next day however, my lashes were already falling out. They didn't even last me a week!! I have gotten my lashes done before and they have never been so inconsistent or bare for just a "classic set". I was recommended by friends, so I would be careful going to her. I got hybrid lashes on and I just wanted to do a filling on my hybrid. Elijah was friendly but her place was dirty and the bed/chair was dirty and someone just got off from it. She educated me on how to take care of my lashes which I liked. She was talking straight down my face, lucky me I had my mask on. She put a few lashes on which lasted around 15 mins or less and directed me to return for another appointment as this one was free because she wanted me to go home and take some vitamins for my lashes. She then told me to meet her at the cashier downstairs. When I met her, she set up my next appointment with a charge of 175 bucks including tips. I did not say anything as I did not want to make a big deal on paying 175.00 bucks for a few lashes less then 15mins. That was some big money for 15 mins and I should have made a big deal but she stated that I was paying for my next appointment. My next appointment came around and she showed up like she just woke up. Her body odor was not good at all. She did not talk as much as the first time. she start working away on my lashes without asking and reconfirming on what and how I want my lashes done. In my mind, I was thinking that she knew I had hybrid when I came to her. She was cutting away on my lashes and sharp edge was poking into my eyelids and pulling on my lashes that it was uncomfortable. She did not explain what she was doing to my lashes as I was making an uncomfortable noise. I finally asked what she was doing and she murmured something, which I did not understand what she was talking about. Less then 30 mins she was done and I was saying to myself, wow that is too fast! When I met her at the cashier downstairs, she told me that I was getting volume, and she charged me extra 75 bucks. I was very disappointed because my volume looks barely like classic and when I got home my kids were laughing when they found out that I had volume, especially my daughters as they had hybrid which looks like volume and I have volume and it looks like classic. My lashes start falling off my face that same day and some of my lashes was hanging down my eyes. There was also a big space between one side of my lashes... lol! I just couldn't believe how she is able to make this big money on some lame work. She really got me good. lol! Elijah was very unprofessional, unsanitary and is in need of some communications and customer service skills. I sent her a text that I will not come back anymore and that she will need to cancel my next appointment. She texted back with a thumbed up. DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible experience. I made an appointment months in advance to get a Brazilian wax the morning before going on vacation. I was delayed in traffic so I called salon to let them know I would be just 5 mins late. The owner, whom I assume is the only employee of the salon, answered the phone and let me know she was out of state and would have to reschedule me. I verified with her that there was no one at the salon who could fulfill my appointment and do my wax, she said "nope". Uhh!!! I had NO time to reschedule, nor would I want to go to her at all after that. The rest of my day was too busy to go elsewhere for a last minute wax, the few places I tried were unable to take me, understandably. So I never got waxed before my 3 week vacation with my boyfriend. Her immaturity, unprofessionalism and lack of responsibility effected my entire trip. She never even attempted to contact me to let me know that SHE couldn't be at the appointment she made with me. read more

Hard to find. Knocked several times. Door locked. Finally called and finally someone answered. Services we fine, but not super friendly or welcoming. If I'm spending this kind of money, I am able to get a better spa-like experience elsewhere. read more

I'm usually not the kind to write bad reviews, but I have contacted Elijah on various occasions and have always received the same response but no actions. I purchased a eyelash growth serum from her almost 8 MONTHS AGO and have not received it. I've texted her and she's said its on the way but I have never received tracking number or any updates or the item itself. At this point I have given up and purchased another one elsewhere. I've contacted her multiple times and I'm disappointed I spent 119 dollars and have not received it after such a long time. I work in customer service and find this unprofessional and shady. read more

The first time I got my lashes done by Elijah (with everlasting) they were amazing I loved them so much and they lashed a long time. However when I recently got my lashes done at her new establishment Valla Lash Bar i was not impressed. I booked through Groupon and I did not know that it was the same business at the time since I took a break from getting my lashes done. The booking was easy and user friendly, however the address wasn't updated and I would have went to the wrong place if Elijah didn't text me to tell me she was running late. I didn't mind that she was running late, life happens. It wasn't until I got there I felt a little uncomfortable. The room was cold since it was currently being renovated, it would have been nice to get offered a blanket like the last time I saw her. She is usually pretty quick but i did not think a full set would be so short. I did not see my lashes until we went down stairs and because of that I felt uncomfortable to have to fix my left side. When we got to the payment i told her I had a groupon and she got annoyed with me because that wasn't my first time at her place. To help alleviate this situation, fix the groupon ad and say you price match; don't take it out on the customer. I was happy she allowed me to use the groupon but it made me feel slightly uncomfortable. :( I got my lashes done because I was in a wedding, but I still had to use lash strips because they started off uneven and they fell out within a couple days. My friend got her lashes done there a couple days after me and her lashes ended up like mine. So it wasn't my care, I've had lashes done several times and I know how to take care of them. OVERALL: I will probably go back because of the first experience I had, but not anytime soon. She has the best prices in town, but I want my lashes to match and to last longer than a few days. read more

I've on and off gotten my eye lashes done for 4+years, and had gotten them done in many different places. When I went in to get them done with Elijah I had never gotten extreme lashes before. In the past I've had issues with glue not lasting on my eye lashes so I wasn't too upset when a lot of them fell out on one of my eyes two days of getting them done. I called and told her and she was very nice, and understanding, wanted me to come in so she can make everything to my standards. You really have to tell her what your wanting in the way your eye lashes look. Like how I like mine is not different lengths all over like how the fake ones you buy at the store and glue yourself, but more of a fanned all even look. Elijah was very good at answering all my questions and was very sweet and patient with my wants :) read more

This was my fist visit to Valla Lash Bar and I will be going back! Elijah did a wonderful job on my lashes. The part that is always the worst for me is taping down your lower lashes and she did this without irritating my eyes or pulling on my lower eyelids which has happened before at other places. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Elijah's customer service and care. I had my lashes done and was not fully satisfied with the way they turned out but she went out of her way to make sure I was happy. As I told her that I could may not be able to come in to get them re-done because I was so close to my due date (39 weeks pregnant) she even offered to come to the hospital and do them there. She was very kind and I appreciate getting service from genuine people like herself. read more

!!!DO NOT BUY THEIR GROUPON!!! This business HAS the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever experienced! I tried calling them on a Thursday to book a groupon eyelash appointment, only to be told I can only make appointments on Monday's and Tuesdays. So I called back today (Mon) and was told that it can only be done online on Mon or Tues. I was quickly given their website address, and when I made the comment that this seemed like a difficult coupon to redeem. I was told I could get my money back by calling Groupon's customer service and was hung up on. read more

Valla Lash Bar and Everlashing are one and the same. I used to go to Elijah consistently over a year ago before I decided to give my lashes a break from extensions. Elijah can be unorganized and have poor time management so I made sure to book a few days ahead in case she double booked me or changed my reservations. And low and behold After confirming my appt on her site a few days later she texted me to change the time. We worked out a new day and time although it was not available on her booking site which I informed her of and got no response. When I texted her two days before to confirm, she had my appt at an hour later which thankfully I was still able to do. As for my customer service experience there this time well if you read one of the bad reviews on everlashing I can attest a lot of is it true. She was on the phone either texted or talking almost the entire time she was doing my lashes. I could tell she wasn't paying much attention even with my eyes closed because after applying the lashes and fanning them, whatever she was using as a fan kept hitting my forehead. Now comes payment, I had a Groupon which she wouldn't accept since I had been a previous customer although it does not specify in the fine print that its only for first time users but ok that's fine. She didn't give me the option of using the value of the Groupon, so I paid the total amount for a volume lash set and fill, I was fine with that too. But she still kept the $25 extra fee that Groupon users have to pay for doing an appt certain days of the week even though I paid for the services there . When I asked her about how to go about getting a refund she said just call them and they'll refund you as credit but just say you moved or something and they'll refund you back to your account. I was uncomfortable with the way she handled the Groupon program. It was one of the deciding factors I chose to do business with her again and it seemed to me that she was cheating groupon out of their revenue by having me get a refund from them and paying for the services there. In fact she knew groupons system well enough to know Groupons refund guidelines and how to manipulate them. To clarify this is the first time I ever tried to use a Groupon with Elijah and I do believe it is a great marketing program for exposing small businesses. I was absolutely comfortable with paying the price of service; whether that be through Groupon or the businesses listed price. However, the fact that the business owner directed me to lie to Groupon in order to be refunded my money was unethical. So, If you can handle the bedside manner and have a flexible schedule the price is attractive. But for myself I would rather pay a lot more and have it go to a business that is more organized, has better customer service, and business integrity. read more

I decided to try lash extensions after using Latisse for quite a while. Because I wanted to try them first, I decided to try a Groupon. When I got there, I assumed that I would have a consultation and that the person doing my lashes would be interested in knowing what it was I was looking for. I felt like she wasn't at all interested in talking to me. I asked if she had any pictures for me to look at so that I could show her what I wanted, and she showed me two pictures. I picked the one that looked the closest to what I wanted and within about 40 minutes she was done. She handed me a mirror and I said I thought that they would be much fuller. She really just kind of blew me off and didn't respond to that at all. Considering the fact that my goal was to not have to wear mascara anymore, I thought well maybe the least I could do is wear mascara for the next couple of weeks until my fill, and she didn't have any in stock. So I got to calling around finding out who else did Xtreme Lashes, and when I was talking to other people who also do lash extensions, they were saying that there is supposed to be a lash put on to every single lash. Clearly that isn't what happened, and that is why they want full like they should have been. So, the Groupon that I bought included a fill and 3 days later I texted her and told her that I was going to schedule an appointment for the fill because I wanted them to be fuller like I asked for to begin with. She said go for it. When I went to the appointment for the fill, I showed her a picture of what I wanted and although the end result was "okay", and I could deal with it for at least the two or three weeks it would be before I got another fill, it wasn't what I asked for. At that point I knew I would never go back. I feel like someone in this position should be interested in knowing why people are coming to her and what it is they're looking for, and above all listening to what they say. read more
