I've been doing my taxes with Maria for about 7 years now, and she's fantastic! I used to be closer to the Lodi area when I started going to Maria, but even after I moved farther away, I have still kept coming back to Maria every year for my taxes because she is worth the drive. She's professional and genuinely wants to help you. I've learned a lot from her over the years through the questions she asks during the appt. and knowing what I should document to help with my taxes. We bring all of our documents with us to the appt and she does them then and there with us and we're done in an hour. Another family member also goes to her and we're so glad we found Maria. I was recently tasked with taking over duties for my aging parents finances and taxes. They insisted I use a professional as their previous accountant retired. After doing some brief research I booked an appointment with Valley. I was warmly greeted when I arrived and checked in. I thought the lobby and offices were professional looking. Miss Isabel worked with me going through all of the tax information. She explained things as she input the data, gave a few suggestions, etc. The fees were very reasonable. Worst place to get your taxes done. They will take your money and never file them. Plus it will take them months to even respond to you; even if you can get them to respond. They are very unprofessional when there whole job is to provide a service to their customer and they can't even do that. read more

I dreaded doing taxes this year because last year I had to pay over $5000 dollars I was extremely upset. I moved and needed to find a new tax person, of course I went to yelp and just started doing my own research, and that is when I came across Maria, loved all the great things that were being said about her, so I booked an appointment. Unfortunately I couldn't make my appointment because I went into labor the day before, so I called and canceled. I didn't think I would be able to get another appointment because she was so booked, luckily I got another one and she did my taxes and slammed dunk them. I believe this place is a SCAM!! They require a $25.00 fee to make an appointment which they don't tell you is Non-refundable! They have tried to cheat my son out of money! I have emailed and given them a fair chance to make things right Before I post a negative experience! We had made an appointment on Friday for a Monday appointment and within 2.5 hrs I called back because my son does not qualify because he didn't make enough money to claim anything on his taxes. This was the first time he would have ever claimed since he is 18 years old. They didn't care! The $25.00 is not refundable. If they would have asked the correct questions and not rush for the $25.00 this would have all been avoided! How many young adults have they taken advantage of? I highly recommend Central Valley Accounting for your tax needs. Previously I have always done all my own taxes using TurboTax or Intuit, but I had a bunch of complicated IRA, inheritance, and ObamaCare problems this year so TurboTax was saying I owed over $3,300. Went and saw Maria, she pointed out some deductions I missed, told me I could not deduct others or it would break the law, and she ended up getting my bill to the IRS down to $2,620.
