We took him in and they discovered a mass in his stomach, it turned out to be GRASS which they were able to get him into emergency surgery for to remove. Because of the nature of the surgery he later developed an infection (common with grass removal surgeries according to multiple vets) and did a revision surgery as well. All of the techs and Dr. Dalton & Dr. Gerrie showed so much care and love for Blue throughout the process and we never felt we weren't in good hands. I have a friend who is a vet and consulted her on decisions for a second opinion and that never strayed from Caring Hearts which was reassuring. They saved our guy and provided care that was unmatched for him (and us) during the scariest time of his life with us. They did not give any warning and I trusted them without researching the med which has harmed or killed countless dogs. Corgis are prone to seizures and the medication triggered seizures in our otherwise healthy dog. The ER vet said this is a common issue with the med and they do not know why any vet is prescribing it. We've been dealing with months of uncontrollable seizures, multiple costly trips to the ER vet to stop cluster seizures, and our dog has permanent nervous system damage. She is now on seizure meds 2x/dly and it is unknown if the seizures will even stop with the meds. Her life is permanently altered.
