Horrible customer service interaction with the service manager. He's rude and arrogant. Needs sensitivity courses.

Called Friday, spoke to salesman (TJ) he said he'd call back. Went there Saturday, even with no call back, saw same salesman, looked at truck. He asked that we send pics and info on current truck and he would get us a price. We sent all info within 1 1/2 hours. Nothing from sales. Later, he text us and said the owner (who was using the truck personally) had left for the weekend and he would get back to us Monday. I asked if he could reach out to the owner via text or call (about 1:30) and he said he can try. Heard nothing back. Others can decide if they are ok with this communication or not. read more

I initially went to Valley Chevrolet for an auto inspection on my Chevy volt and ask them to check the windshield wiper fluid They said that was part of the inspection and the windshield wiper fluid would need to be operating in order to pass the inspection. This was my first hybrid with full coverage insurance so I said do what you gotta do as I had a ride waiting for me . I came back the next day to pick it up and was astounded by the explanation of the cost, initially saying that the pump went bad, which I found hard to believe. They had charged me $250 just to change a fuse. When I left, they also said that they advised me (and it's in the report that they had written.) the pump should also be replaced. And that I should bring it back to have that done in the near future. this turned out to be totally untrue as well. And the only problem was, I did not have enough winter windshield wiper fluid so it wasn't squirting because it had been somewhat frozen inside and when I went to use it initially, it snapped the fuse. My windshield wiper fluid pump and sprayer have been working perfectly ever since. I took my Dodge truck in to get an inspection as well and I had a coupon in which Valley Chevrolet had sent me in the mail for a free inspection . The truck did not pass due to many things they said, were wrong with it in which I had already addressed, including a complete brand new exhaust system. A lady brought her car in while I was there and she failed the inspection and they did not charge her. She said I'm going to get tires and I'll be back later sometime. They charge me for failing the inspection even though I had the coupon that stated I had a free inspection. I went ahead and paid for the inspection thinking they might try to call the cops if I try to leave their lot or may not let me out of the garage. I was upset and demanded to speak to the manager on duty. This did not help. He insisted I pay for the Inspection even though I had their free coupon for a state inspection at that point I calmly raised my voice, so other customers could hear and proceeded to mentioned they had charged me $250 to change the fuse in my Chevy volt and they were a rip off by charging me for the free inspection. I went home and called my credit card company and put a dispute in which took about three months to get my money back as in finality. I went online and found a site where they claim all their customers get a free auto inspection, which is the inspection regulated by the state of Pennsylvania. I took my truck to another inspection station and it passed without any problems whatsoever. I would not recommend Valley Chevrolet as a place to take your vehicle. I was treated unfairly and discriminated against, even though I had been very kind to the desk clerk, and the general people walking around previous to that admiring the cars on display which the owner of Valley Chevrolet pride himself in showing off his riches. read more

After many years and 10 + vehicles from here , I received the most disappointing service ever. The last 2 attempts for service were awful. Very arrogant people in charge of interview for service and the people on the phone were anything but helpful and deceitful. I would never recommend their service again. Without good service you might as well buy somewhere else. Really sad, they use to be good. read more

If I could give negative stars I would rate this dealership negative. Whole dealership full of no good, fraudulent, scumbags. I bought a manual 2018 Ford Mustang EcoBoost with low mileage for $29,500. The car was a lemon. Computer issues, engine issues, etc. After 3 years of use have had it towed more than eight times. The car was running terrible. I took the car to them they said head gasket was leaking, purge valve bad, catalytic converter bad. They said it needed $5,000 to be fixed. I didn't trust them so I took it to Tasca Ford. They said the car was totaled and it need $10,400 to Be fixed. They screwed me out of my hard earned money. I'm without a car now. I recently purchased a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport from Valley . Felt like a VIP from start to finish. The staff is so knowledge and also friendly . They gladly showed me what was available . Offered a test drive , obviously took that offer lol. Answered all my questions and even told me things that I didn't even think of . After the test drive we talked about numbers and I'm a tough shopper. I gotta say I felt they came at me with a great offer so I took it . Since it was about 7pm, I filled out all the finance paperwork so they can run it the next morning . Promptly got a call the next morning to tell me I'm approved and they scheduled for me to come in to finish the deal. They even graciously offered me a pick up service so I didn't have to find someone to drop me off . The service department at Valley Chevrolet is a major disappointment. On the day I PAID them to provide service on my vehicle before embarking on a 2500 mile road trip, I received absolutely no communication. I gave them a list of items to perform--oil change, tire rotation, check brake wear, and wash car if possible. Dropped the car off Sunday for my Monday appointment. I waited until 2 to call to see what was going on and was told that the service "advisor" had called me at 1130 to tell me the car was ready. I checked my call history--no call! Same exact thing happened on my previous visit. Tbey didn't tell me the car would or could not be washed, and did not give me the brake pad measurements as requested. Living in Scranton, Tom Hesser is usually my dealer of choice for Chevrolet service but their schedule was extra busy when a check engine light came on recently. After trying to get in at Sylvester Chevrolet (who refused to work with me because I had bad previous experiences with them), I called Valley. They were able to take me the next day and even offered to drive me home if needed. Dropped car off in the morning, the problem was diagnosed that day and part successfully overnighted and installed next morning under warranty. What more could I hope for? read more

I specifically told them when I gave them my home address that I did not want anything in the mail. Recently purchased a 2016 Chevrolet Trax, Certified Pre-Owned. After reflecting on the entire experience for a week, I have settled with a 3-star rating, which is almost entirely based on the product that we received. The customer service was, at the very best, sub-par. After looking at the car once before the previous day, we stopped in at 2PM ready to purchase. Even though we had half of the entire purchase price of the vehicle as a down payment, we did not leave the lot until around 7PM. While the sales consultant was pleasant, he incorrectly informed us that a vehicle could not be purchased by someone who does not hold a valid driver's license. We had done our research well before hand, and new that this was absolutely not true, as a license is only to operate a motor vehicle, not to own or purchase one. After informing him of his mistake, he checked with his manager who confirmed that we were correct. I would expect a car salesman to have a thorough knowledge of all Pennsylvania laws regarding the purchase of an automobile, in the same way that I would expect a realtor to know various aspects of real estate law. Additionally, and perhaps most frustrating, was the Sales Managers testy attitude regarding a thorough reading of the sales contracts. I advised my friend who was the purchaser to thoroughly read through everything she was about to sign, as it was a large purchase and shouldn't be done carelessly. Apparently he did not like that, especially after trying to have her sign a checklist regarding the condition and items in the vehicle(the owners manual, etc) that she had not checked off herself, and before reviewing any of these items with her. I highly doubt that if he himself were making a large purchase he would lackadaisically sign wherever someone told him he ought to. Overall, the only aspect of our experience that merits a 3 star rating was, as I said, the product received. We are very happy with our vehicle, and will certainly not be taking it back to Valley Chevrolet for any routine maintenance, or for any other reason other than to possibly gain shelter in the event of a world apocalypse, in which case I would think twice before entering its doors. read more

We have been to Valley Chevrolet many times over the last 2 years we have lived here in Pennsylvania but our last visit will be just that our LAST. The first several times we went to them we had great service and everything went smoothly. The last few times however have been awful! Don't get me wrong our car is fixed and so far what they have done is still working well but the process and customer service is what brings down the ratings. The first big incident was when we asked them, while they were doing an oil change, if they would be sure to check our brakes as we have never had them replaced and our car is a 2009. We were told they would it was standard procedure. They did the oil change and told us the brakes looked good. 4 months later, approx 2,000 miles, we bring the car back in to get our winter tires put onto our car and to get a state inspection done. They come out and tell us that not only do we need new brakes but rotors as well.... WHAT, no way... not turn the rotors but hey had to be replace... if our brakes had been "good" then we shouldn't need new rotors. When we asked them about the discrepancy we were told, the mechanic who looked at your car is no longer with us so there is nothing we can do about it... again I say WHAT?? The company should stand behind their mechanics no matter if they still work there or not. We put in a complaint and got an e-mail saying someone would contact us within 24 hours but we never heard from anyone. Our state inspection came back with a brake light issue so we had to get that fixed but at another time as they had to order a part, no big deal we understood. The repairs for the brake light went without incident. We took our car back, April 1st, to get the winter tires off the rims and all year tires but back on the car. We had made an appointment online and after waiting an hour they told my husband that they had put two tires on rims but the other two were bad, they took him back to look at the tires. Why they didn't check the tires before taking them off the car and rims I am not sure. Then they tell him they have to check to see if they even have tires in stock to fit our car.. The mechanic wrote down some information on a piece of paper... never saying a word to my husband, then took the paper to the desk. The man at the desk then told my husband that their were two tires in stock that would fit our car, which one would he like? First of all we like to research our tires before buying so my husband was a little unsure but he chose one of the two options. They never told him, hey there is a special buy 4 of these and get this much off, even though there is a deal available because I checked when he got home. My husband then waited another 1.5 hours for them to finish our car. When you add the experiences together it assures we will not be returning, we will gladly drive a ways down the road to the next dealer if it means we can get better service. Sold my son a lemon. Too bad I guess. They're a total rip off. He only had his truck for 7 months when it broke. Now it's gonna cost him 5000 to fix a 20,000 truck. Of course the warranty ran out. This truck was known for this problem and my son should have been made aware of it so he could have gotten an extended warranty. Truck was bought around February 28 2018 From Valley Chevrolet W-B. Recently purchased a so called certified pre-owned truck 2007 Chevy Silverado with 38,414 miles on it. But before purchasing it they replaced the catalytic converter which went bad for some reason and was not noted in the Carfax. Check engine light came on (the mileage at this time is 39,111 that's 697 miles I drove since I bought this vehicle) so I pulled over an had it towed to my mechanic and they did a scan and found that the catalytic converter was bad. Told my mechanic that Valley Chevrolet replaced the catalytic converter before I bought the vehicle. (Not even a 1,000 miles ago.) I had my mechanic contact Valley Chevrolets service manager Paul. Valley Chevrolet will not honor the warranty on their replacement catalytic converter that they installed and it should be warranted for 5 Years/ 50,000 miles as per Federal Law. The part they put on is a Gm Original part. There Service Center is located at 221 Conyngham Ave., W-B. 18702 I asked a Chevrolet Car Dealer what's the Definition of A certified pre-owned car or truck. A certified pre-owned car or CPO is a type of used car. Most often late-model, they differ from other used cars by having been inspected, refurbished, and certified by a manufacturer or other certifying authority. They also typically include an extended warranty, special financing, and additional benefits. He said he wasn't sure about the 5yr./50,000 miles on a replacement catalytic converter but they should replace it if its under a year. I said to Mike: Before I bought the truck they replaced it with a new catalytic converter. He's response was "cause that's what they told you anyway." Parts sold over the counter be only be 12/12,000 miles and they just change the warranty 24 months/?. Bought a 2015 chevy silverado i purchased brand new. Currently has just over 16,000 miles on it when i noticed that theres oil on the front of my engine. I figured no problem i'm well within my warranty no problem i'll give them a call and have it fixed. So i scheduled my appointment and went down immediately after work. When i get there they put it on the lift and tell me theres no oil leak. I inform them i have seen it under the hood on the face of the engine, so he has me follow him out on the floor to show him what i seen. We pop the hood and i point it out to him. He gives it one look and says oh thats a little seepage completely normal on these engines. Of course i disagree and spend atleast 10 minutes trying to get them to diagnose the oil leak to no avail. Finally i get them to agree to but an oil leak detection die in it to track down the cause, the mechanic goes to get the dye and suprise they're out but it would be in the following day for me to pick up. No big deal now right we are going in the right direction. I asked how the oil level was and they said its fine. Here i am a week later still no dye still leaking oil luckily i found another dealer willing to fix it just waiting on parts now but i also had them check the oil level and it was a half quart low. So that seepage on the engine seeped a half quart in just under a week and less the 100 miles. In closing avoid valley chevrolet service unless you believe a low mileage barely year old engine should be leaking oil. read more

If you think you're going to get your car fixed the way it should be, please think again. I went to VC to get my car inspected. $472.22 later, which did include new brakes and rotors, I've experienced contaminated brake fluid & frozen calipers, my car wouldn't easily stop, and now the rear brakes squeak/squeal EVERY time I use the brakes, which never ever happened to my car before. I had my car back to VC several times to correct the brake squeak/squeal noise and all they told me is the brakes are shiny, but said I don't need rear brakes. I won't be going back. I had to haggle a little bit to get the price that I wanted for my trade-in, but I would expect to do that anywhere. Beware!! I took my car in to because the check engine light was on. I was told that the car needed a new timing belt and the cost would be $2200. The car is a 2014. I had the car towed to another repair shop and was quickly informed that the timing belt was fine but the car needed 2 new solenoids. They couldn't understand how Valley could have missed that. I'm not sure if Valley's actions were careless, incompetent or fraudulent, but it really bothers me that they were going to charge me $2200 for work that didn't need to be done. I am writing a letter to the PA Attorney General so there is a record of this activity for future cases against Valley Chevrolet. The other repair shop fixed my car for $400 and none of the parts listed on the Valley Chevy invoice needed to be replaced....none of them. read more

overcharging on your work,your prices are almost triple of what others charge to do the same work.you both use the same type of parts,because i am a mechanic,i see where the parts come from and they are not general gm parts.we told the inspector that we are under the 5000 miles emission inspection and he still charge us the $30.00. for all the work that you said that had to be done you were costing us close to $1100.00. we got the whole thing done for$ 454.00,that included the pa inspection and emmission inspection,resinator and muffler,pipes and clamps.the bushings for the control arms and wheel alignment. i replaced the light bulb myself for .45 cents and about 3 minutes work,you probably would have charge me $15.95. i remember coming there and the cars were lined up waitng to get in now you pull right in. i guess with the price you were charging me i don't know if i'll ever come back there???????????????????????????????? read more
