As I was on my way to my appointment this morning I called to notify them I was going to be 5-10 minutes late and they told me my appointment was canceled by the NP and tgey tried to call to notify me. I have ZERO missed calls from them. They said they could reschedule me but I couldn't be seen until OCTOBER! This place should be avoided! I have had previous experiences w the center that were totallly positive. this morning not so much!…read more I was scheduled for an endoscopy by a really great NP Lisa. staff had trouble accessing a vein. no problem as I have lousy veins Except I lost my place in line. had a long wait in a really cold room. no one checked on me till surgery was ready. after I was returned to recovery. the doc popped his head in said how are you and left after throwing what he called "my paperwork " on a chair. no explanation from him or a nurse on the instructions in the paperwork. which included instructions to get another exam. do I get this from my GP? call on my own? why do I need it? really jarring experience

I witnessed a patient going off on the nurses and they never lost their cool with her. The insurance person and nurses listened to her concerns and kindly responded to her giving her possible options to resolve it. She definitely didn't deserve their kindness because she was hateful to them. They were nothing but wonderful. Everyone from check into prep to surgery and checkout were really nice to me. They calmly and clearly explained everything to me and regularly checked on me to see if I was ok. No one likes having a colonoscopy but they made it as painless as possible. I really appreciated it. When I hear of anyone who needs one, I send them to them. I live in north hills and drove down there because I was told how good they are. I will be back in five years for my next one.

You don't meet with a doctor beforehand because they don't even know who is going to do the procedure up until the last minute. They definitely treat you more like a number than a patient. She's been named to Pittsburgh Magazine's Top Doctors list in past years and it's well deserved. Sarah is personable, easy to discuss just about anything with, and really knowledgeable in her field. She never makes you feel like she's rushing to get to the next patient and she's efficient and thorough. She's really good at analyzing your personal risk factors and ordering tests that will give her a clearer picture of your health because her goal is always to keep her patients healthy. Some of the tests she's ordered were things I've literally known nothing about but did them because I trusted her judgment and said afterward, thank goodness I did that when something was discovered that needed to be. Her office has also called me with a subtle reminder to get my act together and call to schedule a test she's felt was necessary and I'd been putting off. How many physicians are that on top of things? I'd venture to guess that type of follow-up is unique and just one more thing that makes her amazing.
