Do NOT go here for a Workman's Comp Claim, or for any reason. I have a back injury and I was there before they opened, but everyone was called before me who came after I did. It took 4 hours! Here's the kicker, they are playing some sort of game where they do not give you the correct information for your medication at a pharmacy, any pharmacy. Tried a couple. You wind up having to go back to them, this has happened twice, and they take your paperwork and disappear for over an hour. This time they actually came back, finally, with my paperwork and said they would give me a call when they get it settled. Not holding my breath. I got the runaround once before from them over the same issue. Having a back injury and spending all day trying to get help...I am very angry. read more

I had an appointment scheduled at 4:30 PM because I have the flu and a respiratory infection. I scheduled my appointment because my cough is getting worse. My appointment was with PA Peter Gray but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I arrived on time to my apt and patiently waited for an hour before respectfully asking how long would it be before I would be seen as I have a 5 month old son who I breast feed and need to get back soon.l to feed him, I was told I was next to be seen. Thirty min went by and the medical provider Peter Gray came into the room and said he apologized he LOST my chart between all the other charts and I was next. Though it wasn't ideal I said okay thank you do you know how much longer? I have to go soon my son is hungry I breast feed him. He said "HE WILL BE FINE HE CAN WAIT" in complete disbelief that he would say that I asked him, My son can wait? He's 5 months old. At this point waiting wasn't the problem I understand that sometimes things happen but saying my 5 month old son could wait to eat because he made a mistake and "Lost" my chart is beyond me. I stood up and said I was leaving. Peter then tried t say that that wasn't what he was trying to say but that "5 more minutes wouldn't make a difference" again I am shocked to hear this medical provider that my son can wait. I told it in fact is not 5 min. I arrived at 4:30 and now it was 6pm. I told him I have the flu and a respiratory infection and think this has turned into bronchitis and I have been waiting until the end because you lost my chart and now you tell me my son can wait? On Jan 2, 2024 in the early evening, my husband went to the Eagle Point, Oregon Valley Immediate Care because he had not been able to get to sleep and had run out of his prescription. Our PCP was not available, or we would have gone to her for help. We made the appointment with VIC, by phone, which went really well. That's where the "well" went down hill. The receptionist gave us a less than warm welcome and the check in nurse was cold, but efficient. Then the real slap in the face came.... The provider Gregory (I think a NP) came into the room and basically treated my husband like a drug addict. My husband told him the situation and was asking for (1) Ambient pill to help him get to sleep. Gregory said he was "not going to risk he medical license for this". He said people come in all the time wanting drugs to sleep. My husband explained he has a Class B Driver's license, gets drug tested regularly, and would not risk his profession either, but he needed to get some sleep. Just a week before this, he was tested for his annual CDL physical, which proved he was NOT a drug user. Gregory did not help us and told us we could go to ER, where someone could monitor my husband. When we were checking out, we got the summary of the visit, which said that my husband had a "life threating condition" and recommended going to ER. We did not. It was NOT 'life threating" - it was lack of sleep. The next day, our PCP was able to send in the order for the prescription. We have used VIC in the past and had great results, but we will not use any of them, unless it is a last resort and never where Gregory is the provider. read more

This is not a good place if you have behavioral health issues for they will certainly say no to the point of giving you a paper that says they won't give out stimulants like Strattera, etc. but Strattera is a non-stimulant and that's the whole point of that they do not care so much to the point where I totaled my vehicle within one minute of leaving after being told no with a smirk because they don't take ADHD seriously. Thanks for making me live outside Valley urgent care ice sure wish you would have helped me instead of looking at my ADHD symptoms and thinking I'm just a weirdo. You're not like asanti who listens to me. And I know for a fact they still did not change their paper to make Strattera non-stimulant because they don't believe me enough to even Google it. I have had a lot of bad medical care in Southern Oregon, but I've only had excellent care at Valley Immediate Care! All staff were very pleasant and helpful, doctor Evan was very personable and thorough, I can't imagine expecting anything more for an urgent care visit. I'd gotten a tick bite on a hike, I've had many and not went to a doctor for them but I have a friend with Lymes disease plead with me to not risk the suffering she continues to endure so I went in after 2-1/2 weeks. After cleaning it up I'm on 10 days of antibiotics, I was informed that if I had come in within 72 hrs it would be a single dose... I'll be back before summers over I'm sure. I went to the Grants Pass location and saw a PA named Chelsea Burchette and I have to say, my experience was an awful one. I literally sat in my car and sobbed afterwards. No bedside manner, very brusque. She seemed like she wanted to be elsewhere and I felt very rushed, as if the main goal of the visit was to get me to leave ASAP. I also felt the suffering I was experiencing was devalidated: I was told that the chunks of white crap in my tonsils was food that got stuck. Does the food cause me to have chills, feel like garbage, and experience a broken glass-like experience when swallowing, even when it's only my own spit? I don't think so. Don't mention marijuana use upon inquiry unless if you want a dirty look shot your way. Depending on the urgency of your concern and current staffing conditions I'd have to say I urge others to see someone else. read more

Valley Immediate Care - Timothy MacCurdy, MPAS, PA--Dermatology Services at Valley Immediate Care, Medford OR It was honestly the worst professional medical experience I've ever had! I called down to Dr. McCurdy's office to make sure you knew of my new Providence Health Plan and that he was in my network and also to my Insurance customer service number spoke with representative (that I have all documented) and said I too was covered! Got there at your office and I asked again what my benefits where! Had MA come and tell $20 copay $1500 deductible! You guys ask for copay after visit so you don't tell people your going to try and ask for full account up front and never told me on the phone or MA when I asked my benefits! I've never in my life ever had any kind of professional medical office or hospital anyone ever try to ask me for cash or money upfront without billing my medical insurance 1st! How would my insurance ever know that you billed or me billed them to meet my deductible and you guys were asking me for $522 cash upfront! Your office is a total Scam! I called and told my medical insurance provider providence healthcare and we have a excellent health plan we pay for monthly and told them what you guys did and they were blown away with the unprofessional conduct and so they're gonna look into it further about you guys being a scam situation! Do not text me or contact me again - go through my insurance only! I also have a call into BBB and my attorney! Tell your patients they have to pay up front no diff than your immediate care patients - Dr McCurdy is a PA that consumers think is renting or leasing a office in your facility! Why in the world would any patient know that a dermatologist wouldn't be leasing a office and that we would pay a urgent care up front total visit cost? There nothing about a dermatologist that requires immediate care or fees unless pre-existing even then! Please take this review as a word of caution against signing up for this company's $40/month urgent care plan. The terms of this plan were poorly communicated and some rather important things were left out in the employee's description of it. I was informed when first signing up that I had to opt into 6 months of payments in order to sign up, which I agreed to. However, I was not clearly informed of the following information. First, they did not explain that this plan only covers 3 visits in a year. Therefore, if you visit more than 3 times in one year, your discounts are basically void, despite still paying them $40 a month. Secondly, I was not informed that it is also policy that if you visit more than twice in a year with this plan that you will be opted in for a SECOND 6 months, basically trapping you into a full year of paying for the monthly service, which again only grants you 3 visits in said year. Granted, these visits are at a discount, but you will still be paying out of pocket on top of your mandatory 12 months of $40/month. Out of the 2 visits I had this year, one was about $25, and the other was over $200. You still never know what the costs of different checkups/procedures are going to be, unless asking up front before your doctor even looks at you. Paying $40 for 12 months comes out to $480 total, which basically tells you that you will be paying that chunk of change for 3 doctors visits a year, a completely variable amount out of pocket on top for each visit, and a completely inescapable monthly payment. One last condition they have in this plan is that on top of all of this, even if you did try to opt out of paying the remaining of your years worth of $40 payments (which they communicated to me was completely possible), you would be charged for the full amount of what your 3 yearly visits would have cost before their discount. The bills for my 2 visits originally came out to just about $1,000, before the discount. Sure, I saved money from this plan, but I have still been roped into paying almost $700 (including the monthly payments + the additional cost of each visit) in a year for 2 visits that were not intensive procedures, nor were they emergencies. Also, while these terms were likely described in the paperwork I received for signing up, I feel like it's not too much to ask for these few highly important details to be communicated up front before someone signs up. It all feels like information is purposefully left out to convince a person in need to subscribe to this service, without knowing what they're fully getting into. I absolutely regret giving any money to this company. The health care workers that assisted me were nothing but helpful, but I have lost all respect to Valley Immediate Care as a whole and will be canceling my mandatory yearly membership at the end of the cycle. read more

Nice staff at front desk, but doctors are not practicing medicine legally. They are misdiagnosing in areas they have no degrees or training, and when they do not know, rather than saying so, they give you a negative psychiatric diagnosis for which they have no degree, authority, nor background, nor skill/training to do so. If they do not know, they love to call you delusional, or psychiatric? This is a witch hunt done away with centuries ago, or possibly a display of a doctor's deterioration ethically and cognitively, or just too much age or ego to handle stating they do not know-better to write inflammatory statements they are not in any field to diagnose. These doctors forget about patients rights, or that according to the HPPA laws, patients have rights. If you can't see it, maybe a specialist, or a microscope, or an "I don't know." But it is slanderous and archaic, and down right ignorant. Rogue Valley has had this disease of playing God against patient's best interest and against laws for decades. I don't know is not against you, nor is disagreeing with a doctor who is ignorant of laws and medicine. Witch hunt doctors are now against teh law, it is called deflammation of character, in other fields called slander. And it is very damaging to a patient's history, so if you do not know, just say so, don't write they are psychotic. This practice in Rogue Valley needs a good malpractice precedent to stop. , A good doctor does not scare patients away with this sort of malpractice. The office turned me away with my right to correct this on my records, saying "What is in our records stays that way." Said he wanted to retest.. after being in the parking lot for over three hours at that point, I asked why.. he said my symptoms indicated Covid. I came here before I lived in Medford. I was visiting from out of town and had a bit of an emergency. I showed up, not knowing what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was clean and peaceful. The check in process was quick. You could even wait at home and have them text you when your room was ready. My wait wouldn't be long enough to utilize that feature but it was nice to know I could sit on my couch in my pajamas and wait if I needed to. They were quick and attentive when I was taken back. They listened without judgment and they were extremely thorough. I felt as though I'd been well taken care of and I was in & out in a very timely fashion, compared to other places of the sort. I now live in Medford and not far from this clinic. It's comforting to know that they're there if I should need them again. Thanks to everyone involved! read more

They have a very good system of checking you out and scheduling your return. If it's going take longer or shorter they text you. Which I really thought was progressive. When I return at the specified time I has immediately take to a waiting room so far so good. One hour later I was still in the waiting room. DO NOT SEEK CARE HERE. EXTREMELY RUDE DOCTOR. UNREASONABLE COSTS. $269 BASE COST if you haven't met your deductible!!!!!!! And that's just for sitting in the room! I can't imagine what they charge if you need treatment!!! I chose this place because they have fast winait times and an online system... DON'T BE FOOLED!!!!! At first, I couldn't wait to write a good review for this place. Online wait list, text notifications if they run behind... it all seemed so efficient. I was so happy I came in complimenting the office staff and commending them on such a well-run practice. I came in because I needed a refill on my monthly prescription. Unfortunately, it's very hard to establish care in Medford and I've had to wait over two months just to see a primary care doctor in the area. Most doctors aren't taking new patients, or they have a 3-month long wait list. So when I ran out of meds, my only option was to head to an urgent care for a refill. The easiest patient ever. It's a very low-key medication, not controlled, and I have all my paperwork saying I've taken it for over 5 years. Well. I can't believe how awful this doctor was. She came into the room and began asking questions rudely. Even when I tried complimenting her office staff, she still seemed annoyed by my being there. I was genuinely confused. Or course, she said she could refill the medication. Then she felt my neck and asked me if I was sleeping well. When I asked her why she asked, she said "Just curious." Was that some sort of dig at how tired I look? All in all, she was in the room for under three minutes. Immediately after, the nurse came in saying she meant to come in BEFORE the doctor, but that it was going to be $269!!!!! For a signature on a piece of paper and THREE MINUTES OF THE DOCTOR'S TIME. I have been to urgent cares and the most I've ever paid for a visit is $80. This is an outrageous cost AND I would have left if she had come in before like she was supposed to. I told her I did not want the script and that I could not pay that much money. I'd go somewhere else. She said I couldn't because I'd already seen the doctor. Again- it's not like she even treated me. I began to cry and she said she'd talk to her supervisor. Then I heard the doctor RIGHT OUTSIDE MY DOOR saying, I don't know what to tell her - I already saw her so she has to pay. I opened the door and said, Excuse me, I can hear you talking about me. This is extremely unprofessional. I cannot pay $269 for the three minutes you were in the room. You haven't written the script and I do not want it. This is an INSANE cost for VERY unprofessional care. She said, "Where do you think you're gonna go?" (Again- so unprofessional!) Why this woman feels she can talk down to patients who are PAYING HER is beyond me. And I still have no idea why she was so annoyed and rude to me from the start. I'm currently at Asante Urgent Care seeing a doctor OUT OF POCKET for under $100. And it's the first place I tried. I know I could have found cheaper had I researched more. So - if all you care about is a quick wait time, this is your place. If you don't mind paying inordinate amounts of money for little care, this is your place. I went into Valley Immediate Care 3 days ago with an eye injury. It took several hours to be seen. I was given eye drops that did not help relieve the pain. I came back today (3 days later) to get some pain relief drops and That was at 11 am. It is now 3:15 and I am still waiting.
