Then they gave me a quote. I scheduled a date and time for the move. The guys showed up with a big truck on the day of the move. They were friendly and assured me that the items will be loaded and moved safely. They handled the statues with care and carried them to the backyard and placed them where I wanted. The whole process was smooth and the movers were genuinely willing to help. Their moving costs were pretty reasonable. I am glad that I found reliable help with my moving needs. I would highly recommend them.

(It's killing me, but I'm keeping my snarkiness to myself though I will offer that he's 60). Since he has never done anything for himself, I researched and hired the movers for him. The prices for most of the movers that I contacted were pretty similar. What set Moving Hearts apart was that they are veteran owned. On moving day, one of the movers was on time, the other was quite a bit late, but true their word, they didn't charge until both were on the job. Some started charging the moment the truck left their facility. While we had already moved what we could fit into our van, for a two bedroom house, there was still quite a bit of stuff. The movers didn't anticipate the amount and they really should have sent a bigger truck. The move was local - 3.5 miles - one end of Old Monrovia Road to the other. It still took 2 1/2 hours, though some of the time was trying to fit everything into the too small truck. It was hot yet the movers didn't take a break - they worked their butts off. There was absolutely no damage on either end of the move - I've never experienced that, even with the most careful movers. They did a fantastic job. I would hire Moving Hearts again in a heartbeat.

Our realtor recommended Guardian Storage but before booking a unit, I price checked it. (The website was fancy so I thought it would be too pricey.) The price was totally in line (even cheaper) than other outfits that I checked...(note, Guardian does not have outdoor units, which is not what we wanted - we had to store two fridges, washer, dryer, and we did not want them to get "funky" in a hot outdoor storage unit. Low and behold, they did not have any funk smell!) The facility is SUPER clean. The locks are these cool little gadgets...but you have to buy that separately. There was plenty of space for our large moving truck. The owner (who is super nice and helpful) keeps moving dollies, carts, and such on site - so that's helpful. They kept me informed about their arrival time, worked quickly and efficiently to remove the items slated for disposal, and left my garage, back patio and outside storage closet more organized and orderly than they've been in years. The four young men were professional and friendly, as well as willing to go above and beyond the original job scope by containing then disposing of an old tote transformed by hornets into a giant nest. Overall, they did a fabulous job and I will be contacting We Chunk Junk in a couple of weeks to help me declutter the interior of my house. I highly recommend this company for anyone needing this kind of organizational expertise at a very reasonable price.

The kid they sent for followup was sweet but inexperienced and he slipped out to my patio and cleaned the Sunbrella fabric on my 4 patio chairs without my permission! He said he was just throwing that in for free! The colors looked dark and smudged as a result. I will not use them again and don't recommend them.
