We originally went further down the street to another vendor the nursery recommended but they couldn't deliver pea gravel. They recommended we try Valley Landscape and I'm glad they did! Deciding to make a dry river bed I stopped at Valley Landscape Center for the first time in spring. I received good answers to my questions after asking a few questions on cost and if I can fill my own 5 gallon buckets.. They have a good selection of rock, from pebbles to boulders, stepping stones, blocks, assortment of sand, bark dust, soils..... I think I am pretty strong but with 4 men in the office I asked the guy that rang me up if someone could put the 60 plus pound buckets into my truck. "Yes, we could probably do that."....."ok, thank you." As I was leaving the office, I notice the guy was taking of his coat. HUmmm? My first reaction was.....I really don't think he is going to help me. As I loaded up the 4- 60 plus pound buckets in to my truck I kept looking at the office door. No one came out. Short term memory?? This same guy rang me up two other times. I don't know if he was new but he did not seem to be very knowledgeable about rock. I walked the yard only a few times and I already know what rock was what. My last trip someone else rang me up. As I was getting ready to go out the door I hear him call the guy in the yard to help me with my buckets. It did put a smile on my face and before I walked to my truck there he was. I thanked him and told him to thank the guy in the office since this is the first time out of four trips anyone helped. I appreciated it. Service, expertise, variety. When you first drive up, it's easy to feel intimidated by the industrial-sized rock piles, and commercial-construction weigh station. "But I only have a little SUV!" you think. "I only need a few bags of rocks! Do I need an appointment? Am I in the right place?" Rest assured, the fine folks at Valley Landscape Center have you covered, whether you're doing it yourself or a pro in the know. They have a decent website, so you can have some reference before you give them a call or head in, and they have samples of various materials inside the little office, if you need to, say, eyeball the difference between three-quarter and half-inch rainbow pebbles. For example. They're happy to answer questions, happy to let you wander about caressing boulders, happy to take refunds when you think you're a good planner and needed 20 bags but really you're bad at math and you only needed 5. This place is really great for finding anything you might need in bulk. The prices are good and they have pretty much anything you could need for your yard as far as bark, rocks, and pavers go. I also have to give a huge shout out to a worker named Kevin. He went above and beyond to help me out and I would go back just because of his excellent customer service! read more

i have had a couple of loads of 3/4 minus delivered from valley landscape for a few projects. they always have a good price and flexible delivery schedule. make sure to ask for the driver gilbert! i have a narrow, tricky driveway; he is an expert at navigating it without damage and carefully placing loads. read more

These guys are great. Same delivery on the landscaping stuff I needed to order. They are very knowledgable and helpful over the phone. I don't know crap about gravel...but he was patient and helped me finally choose what to order based on me telling him I want gravel like McMenamin's outdoor seating. Went with my wife to look for feather rock. After wondering around a few minutes, went into the office where a man and woman were working. Asked if they had feather rock and the woman look at me with no greeting and said let me look and said to the guy it looks like we have some. I asked where and he said over there and pointed vaguely to the left. We left the office and walked around a big center area where different types of stone were placed. After 10 minutes and walking in a giant circle we didn't find a thing. Wasn't worth going back in to say we couldn't find it. Worthless customer service. No reason to go back. read more

Loaded some river Rock. Went to pay and was told I needed to unload in wagon to weigh. Why couldn't someone estimate how much I had? Loaded back in truck. Went to pay-$48 for an incredibly small amount. $8 in Lincoln City vs $48 here and I didn't have lousy service in Lincoln City. Poor Service Popr Deal! read more

I am so happy we found this place! Well, we always knew it was there but we had never stopped in to see what they had to offer. My husband and I decided to tackle a couple beds in front of our house. We had previously filled them with barkdust but over the years they had accumulated lots of weeds and the barkdust never looks as good as when it is new. So, we decided to take all that out and put in rock instead. At first we thought we wanted red rock but once we looked at the selections at Valley Landscape, we ended up choosing the black and white crushed granite. They loaded it into our pickup with ease. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products they sell. We didn't look at everything they have, but I could see they have a great selection of barkdust and rock (everything from small rocks to large boulders with lots of colors and shapes to choose from). I would highly recommend going here for your garden needs and we will most certainly be back in the future! read more

I have a small patio area that has 1/4" gravel that I want to spruce up a bit with flagstones. VLC was recommended to me and I stopped in late in the day on a Friday to see what they had. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and I ended up going back today (Sunday) to get what I needed for my project. Again, every person I spoke to was friendly and helpful and even when I made a newbie mistake and filled a cart too full breaking the handle in the process vs. weighing my car and then directly putting the flagstones in it, everyone was still super nice, didn't make me feel dumb and went out of their way to make getting the flagstones into my car easy. I can not say enough about how impressed I am with their friendly staff's customer service. VLC will be my go to for all the future projects I have planned and I will be telling everyone I know what a great experience I had. Plus the prices are pretty good too! read more
