When we first arrived I thought what a pretty place. I believe the gentleman that helped us was named "Jonn" but I may be wrong. He was very informative and provided good advice to save my Home Depot plants that are dying. Also made solid suggestions on plants to add to our backyard. Overall, we were very happy that we drove out here. Paid more than I wanted to but feeling like this time the plants will survive my newer gardener skills! read more

The Garden Corner - This might be my new favorite plant nursery. There are great ones all over the place out here of course and this is probably the most expensive, but regardless, possibly the most interesting of them all. I was showing homes in Tualitin and stumbled upon this place. Notice the massive hanging plant structure that is 15 to 20 feet tall. It slowly spins around and has a Bigfoot sculpture inside of it. I also bought the most adorable miniature hanging plant ever (photo of plant on wood shelf). If you are ever in the area (especially during Summer and Spring) check this place out. Very cool. This place was so cool!! We stopped by on Easter morning and they were hiding eggs for kids to find later-how sweet! They had a wide selection of plants with lots of information available. You could tell the staff enjoyed their job and took excellent care of the plants. The staff offered us help multiple times and explained that they had complementary services like a potting station and a coffee bar. We got the coffee which is served in a pot mug and delicious. We even bought our little pot mug to take home, because why not! They had the sweetest cat (Salem) who keeps guard over the place, as well as a few chickens wondering around. We got to see the epic spinning basket and wow the pictures/videos do not do it justice. That thing is incredible! They have an app and website that we still need to check out and they said they do shipping to other states. We walked around for over an hour and we could have spent way more time. The whole place has a great feeling to it as you walk around. We will be back again very soon and cannot recommend this store more! read more

My sister had sent me an advertisement via Instagram for The Garden Corner. It looked so great so I went and checked it out last weekend. So glad that I did! Loved everything about it. I think I spent at least 2+ hours there, wondering around trying to decide what I wanted to buy and plant. So much to see! They have so many fun and unique containers to put plants and flowers in! Love that you can purchase adorable planters and baskets and pick out a variety of plants/flowers and plant them there! They provide a nice area to do this with everything you would need with tables, the soil, root boost, even gloves. It was a lot of fun! I even brought my husband back the next day. Thought it would be fun for the 2 of us to pick out something special, which we did (a large very cool ceramic shell) and planted flowers in it together for our anniversary. I love the Garden Corner. I used to visit all the time when I lived in Sherwood and it's still just as amazing now as I remembered. Their gigantic hanging basket is still an amazing sight! Walking on the weaving and whimsical path relaxes me and my last visit I brought a friend who had never been. We got help with advice on some indoor plants and purchased a few. Can't say enough about the continued service and selection at the Garden Corner! We've bought our baskets year after year and loved how amazing they turn out. This year when I returned my old pots for deposit, Ryan mentioned that I could re-use the existing greenery and add new flowers. He mentioned that John (the owner) offers free soil and booster as well as tools and tables for no charge to rebuild your baskets with the purchase of new plants. Here's the amazing part... I'm a super newbie at this stuff and felt a little uncomfortable digging into my existing baskets. Kathy took me under her wing and not only helped me with the right flowers, but got right in and showed me how to do it! She continually checked on me and offered more assistance. At the end of the day, we replanted (12) pots and I even took a swing at a couple of tomato plants. To wrap up the experience, John helped me load the truck! The is truly one of the BEST retail nurseries in the area! It is tucked away in Tualatin, worth the effort of exploring. I have shopped here for several years. The Garden Corner is a wonderful local treasure. There is an incredible variety of plants, tools, and garden decor all year round. It would be impossible for the owner to be anymore knowledgable, kind, or passionate. The employees are also helpful, and wonderful. We bought our Christmas tree here last year, and we had many people tell us it was the most gorgeous tree they'd ever seen. We had it for over a month, and it hadn't even begun to dry out when it was ready to be taken down and recycled. A huge plus was the owner sent an email the day we bought it making sure we were happy with our tree, and letting us know that they carefully pick each tree, and take great pride in the trees health and quality, and also let us know that if we were dissatisfied at all they would replace it! I'm always looking for plants that I can bring back from our family travels. We visited the nursery this past week and the employee reception was one of the best I've received at any nursery in the U.S. It was a hot day and the nursery representative (because I don't remember her name, I will day she was of Asian descent) offered us water. What a nice touch. Your employee is such a wonderful person and rep. I think I may live in Oregon at some point in my life and Tualatin is high on my list. This nursery would be my go to place. I seem to have overlooked a number of resources and vendors that are close to my home, as though I've taken them for granted...and I must apologize for that. My wife is the family's gardener and everything (everyone) seems to flourish with her attention. I am a clumsy devil and after years of coaching I can barely remember the names of the flowers in my wife's "jungle". Poor Experience. I placed an online order. They use an unknown credit card payment method. When I am buying online I want the convenience of using a popular preferred payment method. I chose not to give my credit card online. I called to speak to a real person. I placed my order. One day after an owner said it would ship, not once, but twice, I was called and informed that 2 items were not able to ship. Needless to say, I canceled my whole order and won't be back. I called this place today and spoke to a very nice and helpful man, who gave great advice on how to start my first veggie garden. He directed me to order on line- they have a very nice website. I ordered on line and within an hour (website says normally 3 days) the plants were delivered to my door. They also offer curbside pick up. Bought a lot of plants this weekend and the service was fantastic. We were approached multiple times and given great feedback as we attempt to plant our gardens after just moving. The owner introduced himself and all the employees were great. The prices were higher than some places but you get what you pay for as far as guidance, backing their products (we were told if we have any issues with our plants dying to come back and they'd back it up). Very close to my house. The owners are very nice and knowledgable about anything that needs sun/water etc. They are very supportive of the Tualatin schools and a big part of the community. There was also an employee named T-Bone who also provided me assistance in selecting appropriate plants. Prices were very reasonable. I have shopped at the Garden Corner for years and I shop at other nurseries too , I do my own statuary and planters enjoying it and budgeting as these plants are only annuals exotic and can break the bank in one summer and annuals don't come back . While they have a wonderful a selection, the prices are higher than most nurseries, quite a bit . And just the other day I stopped in for a minute dropped 56.00 on six small plant annuals and received back 1.00 only ! For 56.00 dollars pretty bad , hardly a incentive against Als Garden bucks . As they give 1.00 Back for each $ 10.00 spent . The Garden Corner is unique but so are the prices because of it . I love to just wonder and believe the owner loves what he does . You can see it in the nursery and I Take ideas from it , it's a terrific place for that too . Bottom line I think when it is all said and done it's for people who can afford dumping a lot of money on even small pots to large into the hundreds for just one season , if they have deep Pockets and just don't want to be bothered with doing it themselves Or get dirt on their hands which I like . If You have not been there , go ! You will enjoy but if you want to buy take your billfold it's not Als or Gardeners Choice . Read through a few of the reviews before posting. No surprise--everyone loves this place (or should!). The atmosphere is very "zen" and it's hard to stay away (and the staff encourages you to "come and wander around"). I like to do that too. Such a great atmosphere and great staff and "fun". I think I'm a bit addicted to the place. I had a similar experience my first visit as Robert S. posted. Jonn K. took me under his wing and helped me pick just the right plants for my gardening projects. I'm no gardener but he got me excited about the plants and was so great to help me improve re: care and handling. His enthusiasm and energy are infectious and even if you aren't a plant person (or rebel gardener as he likes to call us!) you become one. Everyone who works there is great and a lot of fun to visit and talk with and share plant stories and learn more about the most amazing plants. Poke around the website and read about the characters who work there and you will appreciate them even more and enjoy the visits as well as the shopping experience. Have to say I saw some negative comments about Levi which surprised me. I'm an ex-dog-trainer and pretty fussy about dog behavior and good manners. Levi impressed me the first visit. He's as laid-back and cool as Jonn and the rest of the GC staff. I miss him if he isn't around when I go to the nursery. And lets not forget the chickens and bunnies for "bling". If you haven't visited, visit. You won't be disappointed. You might come home with more plants than you planned on buying or planting but you won't regret that and will enjoy gardening (in spite of yourself!) and will find a reason to go back again and again. As the daughter of a nurseryman, I am picky about the nurseries that I shop at. Sure, you can get plants almost anywhere you shop anymore...all the grocery stores and big box places have all the seasonal plants you'd need. However, can they answer your questions about planting techniques? Will they take the time to look at photos of the area you are working on in your yard and have proper suggestions for plants that will fit your budget AND style? I'd guess not! This is one of the areas where The Garden Corner shines. The owner, Jonn, and his staff are cheerful and helpful. The nursery itself is bee-yoo-tiful...it's calming to walk through and enjoy the day even if you are just browsing. This is the home of the amazing "Lake Oswego Hanging Baskets" and each year we enjoy purchasing a smaller version of these beauties for our front porch. I was lucky enough to get a Sharing Spree deal (spent $15 for $30 worth of plants...it's no longer available but be sure to check them out at sharingspree.com for other awesome deals...maybe they'll run Garden Corner again!) and purchased things not only for myself but also as a gift for a family member. First time in and I have to say, I am impressed. It's a smaller nursery and in later winter some tables weren't stocked yet but they have something no other nursery has. Real, helpful, friendly humans! We were greeted and asked what we needed, the guy brought various options to us while the owner offered to make use mochas. We spent rest of the time walking around drinking mochas with a chicken and a dog walking around too. Very knowledgeable staff. Prices are a little high in comparison to home depot but expected with a smaller business. Will definitely return! read more

Was there this morning with our dog. They have a large dog that runs free. When we got close (100ft) to where this dog's food bowl is kept. The dog attacked our dog who was on a leash and under control. Any dog owner or parent with small children, should avoid The Garden Corner as long as they allow the dog to run free read more
