It also stated that if I book a ride online, my bill would be reduced by 15%. I booked online on Saturday for a taxi needed Tuesday at 1:00. By 1:00 on Monday, I hadn't heard from them so I called. They hadn't seen my request because their website or internet was down. I was told that my taxi would arrive by 1:00 on Tuesday and my 15% off would be honored.By 1:15 no taxi arrived. I called and Z****** said he would pick me up right away. He showed up in a black SUV. He was very nice and polite. I asked to go to Terminal 2, Sun Country. He drove me to Terminal 1, then apologized and took me to Terminal 2. I was a little anxious because I expected to get there earlier but it all worked out. Then he told me that with my 15% discount my fee would be $50. I didn't expect it to be that high but just paid it. When I returned to Minneapolis/St. Paul at Terminal 2, I called Uber. The charge was $26. I will never use the Apple Valley Airport Taxi again.

When I booked my return shuttle back to EC from MSP, I called Groome to verify that if I missed my 9:15P shuttle, that I could still get on the 10:45P shuttle. I was told yes, that flight delays happen all the time and that they will just put me on the 10:45P shuttle. Fast forward to today. My flight was delayed due to weather. I called Groome as soon as I was in the airport (this was around 9:30P), no answer, no answering machine, no answering service. I called Groome 7 times. Their automated message says that there is someone available to answer the phones until 10P... that's a load of crap. So I waited for the 10:45P shuttle. In the meantime, Groome Rochester showed up, and I asked that driver if the EC Groome driver would still show up, even if there were no registered rides for the 10:45P (I did tell this driver about missing my first shuttle due to flight delays). This driver said yes, that the EC Groome driver would be here for the 10:45P pick up, even if no one was registered for a pick up. So I waited. At 11:05, I gave up waiting for EC Groome (because I didn't feel safe being a pregnant woman completely alone in a parking area waiting for a shuttle that wasn't coming - what if something bad happened to me while waiting for the driver that was clearly not coming... does Groome have the liability insurance to cover that??). So I went back to the baggage claim area to call my husband and figure out how I was going to get home. Had someone from Groome bothered to answer their damn phone, and told me that they weren't coming to the 10:45P pick up, then I would have hopped on one of the hotel shuttles before they ended for the night, gotten a room for the night, and a rental car in the morning when things opened back up. This is absolute trash.

So we book a ride to MSP. Less than 12 hours prior to the ride Groome calls and cancels the…read moreshuttle. Then, they keep our money and will not refund. No refunds, credit only. He was great with communication, helped with our luggage, and the door-to-door service was so nice. We paid and tipped up front, and he still gave excellent service from start to finish. We first called and booked about a week before, and then _called to reconfirm the night before_, because we wanted to make sure they sent a big enough taxi for 4 adults and bags. "No problem" they said. The next morning, no taxi. We called, and they said "Are you sure you called us? It must have been some other taxi". I can assure you, it wasn't. So we had to scramble, calling another taxi company that actually showed up at short notice. While we were on the phone with the second taxi, Caller ID said that Airport Taxi was calling back, which I presume means they had found the reservation after all, but we weren't about to wait for them to screw up again. No problem, I thought, but in fact the next scheduled shuttle (12:15 am) simply did not show up. Not sure why. No more shuttle until 4:15 a.m. Impossible to sleep at the airport, so when the 4:15 came I was exhausted. I asked for either a refund or a voucher for future use and customer service said "A reservation does not guarantee a shuttle will be waiting for you in the event that your flight is delayed." So, no refund for me. No voucher either. I suppose the lesson is to not rely on Groome for being available for shuttles toward the end of their daily schedule. It's not clear to me why they ask for my flight information when I make a reservation but apparently don't hold a shuttle when they could see that the plane was arriving late.

We had to ride the whole way (about 4 hours) with windows (only two of them up front) open in 85 degree heat. When we got to transfer center in St Cloud the wonderful driver was kindly explaining the AC problem to a younger woman, a Groome employee, who was manning the counter (about 7-8pm on 23 July 2026). This woman was not nice. She was denegrating the nice driver, insinuating the AC problem was her fault for not opening up the rear vents. I told her the AC wasn't blowing any cold air out of even the front vents and that the vents were open throughout the van. She then became rude even to me claiming the AC was working and had just been repaired. She was very dismissive to me when I was telling her plainly the AC didn't work. This woman at the desk should not work at Groome. I have had the most friendly encounters with EVERYONE at Groome over the last 10 years. But this young lady was downright mean, dismissive and denegrating to me, another passenger who also noted the broken AC system and her own fellow employee, the very nice driver. A broken AC is unacceptable during the summer. But that is nothing compared to watching a nice person get denigrated and then being dismissed myself for reporting a mechanical problem with our van. For this reason I will not recommend Groome Transportation to anyone unless follow up action is taken to 1) fix van's AC and 2) counsel and train the rude employee on how to treat people with kindness.

Groome transportation is incredibly reliable, sticks to the timetable, and offers a number of…read morepickup and drop off locations. Most importantly, customer service is amazing about rebooking when travel gets disrupted. The drivers are friendly, the vehicles are clean and as comfortable as you can hope for from a shuttle, and all in all it is a good value. I still prefer to fly out of RST whenever I can, but it's great to have Groome as backup.
