Los Roys is a no frills butcher and grocer located in central urban Yuma off of Avenue A, making it convienent for most and a worthwhile drive if you live in the Foothills. Their standard beef selection is wet aged Certifed Angus (for those of you who don't know, this grade hovers between USDA Chioce and Prime). They also carry a good selection of lamb, pork, and poultry. On a seasonal basis they'll offer game (venison, buffalo, rabbit) and, although not their forte, they have a seafood selection as well (I got some great Little Neck Clams here once). On the Mexican grocer side of things, the fresh salsa, guacamole, tamales, etc. are all outstanding. I've never left unsatisfied and have had their Tenderloin (I.E. Filet Mignon) a few times, Prime Rib, Pork Sausage, Buffalo, and Clams. The service is outstanding and they've always accomdated my request. You can phone in an order to pick up or have them butcher it for you on the spot. The cost is very reasonable here and well outmatched by the quality of chops and the service they provide. I love having a dependable place for quality proteins, and Los Roys fits the bill.

He argued with me that I over cooked the meat. I told him I brought the cooked meat if he wanted to see I didn't over cook it as I have been cooking it for years. I asked him for a refund or to give me some fresher meat and he would not make it right. The meat is on the high side but have always paid and supported this run down store. You really see how a business is when there is a problem. I will never set foot in this store again.
