This shop is under new ownership and isn't as good anymore. I have had many items framed there…read moreover the years but my most recent experience with the new owners was not too great. 1. I took a large print to be rematted. The new owner tried to sell me everything he had, such as a new frame (because this one has a scratch), new glass (because this one glares), triple matting (which I went for). I just felt like I was the subject of too much selling. It wasn't pleasant. 2. I requested to have the print delivered and hung. The owner said he knew a company who could do that and we agreed on a specific date. On the morning of that date, I called to find out when the person would be coming. The owner: "Oh, I was going to call you. That company doesn't return phone calls." I wonder if he really was planning to call me because in the two week period between order and delivery date, he never did. Needless to say, the picture didn't get delivered or hung that day. The owner did set me up with another company who delivered it, hung it and did a fine job. But I think I will find a new frame shop.

With all that said, Jerry's is a delight. I came here as an art student and I still come here now. My niece is into the arts, so popping in here for birthday and holiday gifts is a no-brainer. I was on the hunt for some specific paper for bookbinding and was not disappointed by the options. Not only did I find the blank paper I needed, I found a great selection of more specialty and fun paper as well as stationary pens and a few other basic bookbinding materials. They have much more than that though, including all your arts and craft needs, paints, pens, pencils, canvas, etc and fun trinkets, cute stationary type such as journals, stickers, etc. The prices are all very reasonable and they do offer student/teacher discounts. They were running a back to school donation drive for the local schools, which you received a 20% coupon for a return visit. It's only downfall is the parking, alas it is on campus and shared space with lots of high traffics restaurants and groceries, but if you don't find a spot right away, usually a lap or two will do it.
