Then I stupidly tried to remove some glue with an SOS pad and left a small spot on the driver's side door badly scratched. I got a bid from a mobile paint and dent repair company to repair my damage, but I just didn't trust the guy. And he insisted on completely repainting big parts of the car for big money. After numerous conversations with him regarding the best approach to detail my vehicle, we agreed to let him use his products to achieve the resistance to water spots and dust for easier future maintenance. He also applied my carbon spray as a finishing coat (twice!) with no issues. He really put in a day's worth of work to make my vehicle look like I just bought it -- it went from a grimy film, so common in the Peninsula given all the trees, pollen, birds, and dust, to a satin-smooth finish that not only looked jaw-droppingly attractive but also proved to bead water and slide right off when he did a water test afterwards. A simple wipe-down is all it will need for quite a while! He made the interior completely dust-free and made sure the windows didn't recapture streaks when being rolled down and back up.
