Stay away if you value timely care. We spent 7 months attempting to get a second appointment. The insurance redirect the referral back to this same place because they have like 3 different business names. We also had to get the referral renewed 4x because it kept expiring before getting a call back or appointment. I even went in to schedule an appointment in person 2 weeks ago and the two office ladies laughed when I said I've left messages since December. She said the call center isn't even in the US and to come in to schedule, but then she wouldn't schedule the appointment then because the referral had expired. I went to look on my family member's referrals at home and there was an active referral until Sept 2026. I've made a complaint with the insurance company, showed them the various business and provider names to ensure we are sent back to this place. read more

My husband was scheduled to be examined by Dr Alexander as a urology contractor (there are not sufficient numbers of specialty doctors and Urology is particularly needed here.) whereas we usually use the physicians at Eisenhower Medical Center, which is wonderful. He was seen in mid-February this year at the office of Dr. Alexander. The exam went ok (I did not sit in on the exam) and my husband told me he would be getting some lab tests before a kidney stone removal. We were hopeful that an appointment for surgery would be forthcoming. We got an email on February 23, from someone in Dr. Farshid Mirzae's office (a physician my husband did not see in the earlier visit) discussing various preop labs and EKG and X-rays. They were assigning us to varied lab offices and not Eisenhower facilities with several deadlines prior to surgery (this is by no means my biggest complaint) which is stated to be set for 4/14/26. So we had a go-round of multiple emails to insist we do testing via Eisenhower. Reports were very slow in being received by the primary referring physician at Eisenhower, so back to the telephone and emails I went. That in itself was a mere beesting compared to the rest of this circus to come. During the email escapade, I received an office report from the scheduler, but the name of Dr. Alexander was nowhere to be found. There were errors in demographic info plus the date of my husband's stroke and obviously someone in Dr. Mirzae's office entered info from the Eisenhower MyChart that was wrong. I was astounded as normally a physician enters the legal information about who examined the patient. I combed over the document and found no cosignature as one would see from a Director or owner. Having been an RN for 50 years my hackles were up. In the midst of this foray, I had to drive to the office of Dr. Alexander to speak with someone at the front desk. Why? Because there is no way to reach anyone on the phone. I had to provide a fax number to Eisenhower Imaging because they had been faxing an ancient number in the wrong office. If anyone asked me about parking issues at this old office building on Fred Waring, I would not even complain about the lack of ADA ramps because I was already incensed about too many of their antics I could not even bother. (Calling the office is also awful because they have an English speaking person mangling the Spanish menu prompts. Nauseating.) Fast forward to surgery. The scheduler kept us up in the air about preoperative interventional radiology. This would occur before surgery. Surgery finally went forward because the true Eisenhower employees called us with all of the instructions and provided all of the pre-op materials. My husband was only told by Dr. Alexander's office to stop taking the aspirin but to continue with his regular medications. He had the surgery and one overnight stay at Eisenhower, which went well. We always enjoy the care at Eisenhower and he was given tramadol for pain after his surgery. He had a drain which was removed and he had dressings which had to be cared for for several days with instructions not to shower immediately. Following anesthesia he was very exhausted and very foggy because, as you may know, anesthesia is very very difficult on the body, especially for a senior citizen. Two days after the return home, he had severe dizziness while walking with a walker and he fell. We took him to the ER at Eisenhower where the physician commented that the medication he takes at home causes a major drug interaction with Tramadol and this should not be combined. He was cleared to go home. Now we are having a great time waiting for Alexander's office to give us the scheduled time for followup- we were told May 7 a couple of weeks ago and that someone would call on Monday, May 4. Guess what? No message was received and I still cannot get through to scheduling. If the patient were to have a few other commitments on that date, they have to wait to be scheduled. There is a big shortage of specialty docs here including Urology. We have a large population of old patients with prostates and kidney stones too. My advice to you is drive up to Loma Linda, USC in Arcadia, or anywhere but this place. I am registering our fristration when we see our Eisenhower team. Maybe even State of CA medical board regarding documentation. I am required to leave one so here it is: there was a Jackie Chan movie on the tv in the waiting room. read more

The Dr I delay with (Talab) was competent and professional,hence 2 stars. The organization and office staff are not. Between no return calls after weeks of calling and leaving messages or critical test orders being wrong repeatedly, it was borderline dangerous. When I finally would speak to an office worker most time I was made to feel guilty for bothering them or that these screw ups were the norm. Thank god They stopped accepting my insurance mid treatment mind you. And I went to an urology office that actually communicated with me my insurance and test facilities. I was diagnosed almost a week an half ago with after CT scan on June 5th with a 9 cm kidney stone. Urgent care called me with results and sent me to talk to pal valley urology because I probably wouldn't pass on my own. Urgent care said that Palm valley would call me in less then 2 days. I've tried calling them and left several messages daily with never a call back. I've been drinking lots of water and in pain off and on. Feel nauseous off and on. They said they didn't receive referral a few days ago. Called my drs and they sent referral 4 days ago. Still no call. They don't answer phone calls im all by myself here and I can't go sit and wait in emergency again. They are the worst I've ever had to deal with. Don't go there. read more

I am writing this review to share a disappointing experience with this Valley Urologic Medical Group clinic and Dr. Bobby Alexander regarding my evaluation and consultation of prostate cancer. The primary concern was the lack of meaningful communication and transfer of information. At no point was a clear, comprehensive discussion provided regarding the full range of treatment options (including active surveillance, surgery, radiation modalities, and other modern approaches). Instead, information was limited and had to be repeatedly requested, leaving the patient to independently research critical medical decisions that should have been guided by the physician. Interactions often felt dismissive and at times patronizing rather than collaborative. For a diagnosis that is understandably stressful, the bedside manner did not reflect empathy or patient-centered care. Questions were not encouraged, and explanations were minimal. Administrative communication was equally problematic. Messages left for the clinic and the specific physician were difficult to get through, and follow-up responses were inconsistent or delayed. This created unnecessary anxiety during an already serious medical situation. Overall, the experience lacked transparency, accessibility, and supportive communication -- all of which are essential when helping a patient navigate prostate cancer treatment decisions. Patients should expect clear education about options and respectful engagement in shared decision-making, neither of which occurred here. I addressed in person and check-out receptionist gives half assed answer that theyre having phone problems. If that's so, they've been having phone problems for months. Dr. Pedram Illbegi is a gifted and talented urologist . He's always accommodating , caring and compassionate . He's a gifted surgeon with excellent bedside manners. Office is very accommodating . The surgery center is state of art with gifted nurses, anesthesia providers and doctors. Valley Urologic Medical Group is a gem in the desert . I highly recommend Dr. Illbegi . I have been trying to reschedule an appointment now for several weeks. I have made somewhere between 5 to 6 phone calls at this point their messages say they will return calls however that does not appear to be the case. I have also sent two emails via their website with no response. They have a patient portal which is not functional. I can certainly understand being busy however I am losing faith and patience. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Alexander in 2022 when he saved my life. He removed a tumor and kidney. I saw him every 6 months for two years and this is the first annual visit. (2026) I have called numerous times but I do not get any calls returned in order to reschedule an appointment or even schedule one. I live 1 1/2 hrs away and had to drive in to get the information I needed. I would not recommend the Medical Group. I would never recommend this group to anyone. Make sure you read the previous Yelp reviews, I wish I had. I tried for 3 weeks to get a call back. The doctor recommended another MRI on December 1, 2025. I had the MRI which showed significant negative changes but never heard from the doctor or clinic again. We are talking about cancer growth here. I wound up having 2 UTIs and went to Urgent Care and informed this office of that in my voicemails. NEVER RECEIVED A call back. I finally went into the office to get my medical records to take to my new Urologist and payed $37.50 PLUS $10.00 for who knows what, for two copies. They said they would be ready by the end of the day or the morning of the next business day and would give me a call. I waited until the next business day and called them, (they actually answered the phone in the Records Dept) but told me they had no record of the request or the fact that I paid them for the records. I went to the office with my receipt and waited for an hour and a half finally got my records. Part way through this ordeal they changed the name on the group to Palm Valley. You can put lipstick on a pig but... This is not the first time they screwed up. What a nightmare this has been. read more

I would love to write a review, however, I have yet to be able to see anyone. I have spent hours on hold,vtrying to get to talk to a live person, or at least get some guidence on where to go. Cannot get anywhere with this office. My prostate is full of cancer, I was referred to oncology, but cannot get a live person there either. I guess I am expected to just wait it out and die from this. All I have are phone numbers, all I get when I call those numbers is a recording. I never get a call back. If anyone actually reads these notes, my phone number is 760 984-4427. I would like to at least try to battle this disease, but I M not a doctor, and apparently the doctors that ought to be responding, or coordinating my treatment have no interest in helping me. Very busy office. Very good receptionists. Have had a good experience, very organized and didn't have to wait to long for my visits.

After calling for two weeks for an appointment, I finally went into their office to book an appointment. The Receptionist was not happy I was there in person, however, finally booked an appointment almost two months out. My first appointment with Dr. Saman Talab was okay. I described my issues. He prescribed medication and ordered a urine test. When urine test results came back in about a week, results showed an aggressive UTI. I called his office and left messages for a week to get a prescription. With no return calls, I finally got in touch with my primary care doctor who ordered antibiotics. She followed through in a week with another test. My UTI had cleared. My Doctor at Valley Urologic Medical Group NEVER called me back. After my UTI was cleared, I called his office for almost two weeks for a follow up appointment. To this date, over six weeks later, I still have had NO communication with this office. I cannot stress enough, if you have any type of issue, do NOT make an appointment with this office. read more

For a place you don't want to have to go to, they treat you well. I can't judge the medical part but the staff was professional and caring.

This is a very busy practice. Once you get into the examining room, the doctor will be a great listener and a caring person. It is the medical help you should rate, not the staff. Also, Dr Bargman speaks four languages. I have seen over my 80+ years many urologists and I trust him over all the others. read more

Dr. Bargman & Dr. Alexander are "EXCELLENT"! However, the office is "RIDICULOUS"! Had a perfect experience with the surgery, but follow up with the office is an impossible task! My wife was supposed to get an antibiotic called in to our pharmacy after the surgery. It never happened! We went to their office after leaving numerous unanswered and ZERO call back phone calls. My wife ended up going to ER by ambulance because of their failure to communicate and address her Post Op medical issue. Also, we had to go back to Urgent Care this morning. When we previously visited the office to try and get some answers, they treated us like we were a problem. 1 day prior to surgery they called us at 5:00 pm to let us know that we have to pay a $1200 Co-Pay before they perform the surgery. Of course we tried to call to work out the payment, but we once again, had no one to talk to. We called our Blue Shield PPO Insurance and they said that we should not have to pay anything up front because we don't know what the adjusted amount will be until we get the "Explanation Of Benefits" a few weeks after the surgery. We show up 1 hour before the surgery and then they told us it would be $2500 (not the $1200 they stated) before they could do the surgery. The person in accounting was extremely rude and said they will just cancel the surgery if we couldn't pay it. Meanwhile, my poor wife is in excruciating pain and needs immediate surgery. Therefore, we were held hostage to pay up or shut up and leave! The story goes on and on. The ER and the Urgent Care facilities said that they hear this all of the time with that particular office and serve many patients who complain about them all of the time. TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! The good doctors (Alexander & Bargman) need to step in and fix this issue. They are both caring doctors but need to take some responsibility for their staff before they have more malpractice lawsuits because of their incompetent staff! This would never happen with any staff at Eisenhower! I wish that I could rate them less than 1 star! However, the 2 doctor's get 5 stars! I had the misfortune of being mis-treated by this practice. I had a kidney stone that dropped to the area between my kidneys and bladder. According to what I was told it was Very large. The first surgery didn't work requiring a second. During this time I had a splint added which caused a lot of pain. I was non the less released to return to full time employment. I work a physical job requiring 8 hours on my feet The pain was bad. Finally after several weeks the second surgery was scheduled with even more pain post surgery but I was again returned to full time work Dr Alexander refused to fill out disability paperwork and his staff dismissed me I would not suggest ANYONE use this practice read more

Dr Mirzaee is awesome. Professional, knowledgeable, and great guy. I was recommended by two friends who just raves about him and how astute he was. My initial visit was a little apprehensive but he greeted with respect and kindness. He listened me intently and when I was running my jibs he explained everything to me where I understood my condition and gave me a corrective plan that would alleviate my symptoms. Well it's been a little over four weeks now and I have to say that I am a new man. A big shoutout to his office personnel, totally awesome as well. The physician forgot to order a test he told me I needed after my exam. When I inquired where the order was, I was told that the doctor said, he never said that he would order one. That was a clear misrepresentation of the facts! I do not like doctors who have memory problems and lie when caught! The practice is poorly organized and managed. When I try to obtain some records for my treatment to give to another medical group, they never answered the phone or return my calls. I had to call their satellite office in Palm Springs. speak to someone, who is friendly and assisted me in getting the records I needed If you need your logic or gynecological treatment, I recommend you look for another medical practice or facility. On Tuesday I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. To say I am scared would be an understatement. I was referred to Dr Ilbeigi at Valley Urologic, and his staff was able to get me in on Friday. When we arrived, the waiting room was quite busy, and it was the end of the day on Friday, but the staff was chipper and helpful to everyone. We met with Dr Ilbeigi and I went from being off the charts scared to feeling reassured that everything was going to be okay. Dr Ilbeigi assured me that the kind of cancer I have can be cured by nephrectomy and that we would get this done in the next 2-3 weeks. He was so generous with this time and knowledge. Both my husband and I feel like we are in very good hands, and we can't wait to get this all behind us. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor. read more

This review encompasses my entire experience with Valley Urological from December 2020 to present. 99.99% of the staff are fantastic. The other .01%, the phone system and their lack of organization and leadership cost them 1*. During my last visit 2 weeks ago I spoke with a supervisor who informed me that they recently acquired the entire building and it will take time to work out the bugs caused by the expansion. The worst experience with a medical practice I've ever had. Staff gets everything wrong, nobody answers the phone or returns calls. You have to make an appointment to get the results back on your labs, but nobody tells you that until you finally get somebody on the phone. They set up a telehealth appointment with the dr to tell me the results, then two days later called back to say the dr doesn't do telehealth. Or email. Or much of anything, really. When I finally did get the appt, it was, "good news, you don't have cancer." They couldn't have had someone call me for that? No, because they can put in a claim to insurance to pay for a visit, but not a phone call. I live an hour away. I told the doctor about the difficulty getting anyone on the phone, he said, oh, you're calling the OLD number, with that condescending vibe of, oh, you're an older person. That number rings the normal phone tree and gets you an appointment, though, and it's on his business card. Total ageism. His hand on my shoulder walking me out the door, I wanted to bite it off. My new urologist said, yeah, we're getting several patients who have left them. Like others here have said, stay away from this place. Less than zero stars. read more
