We went to Dr. Bodon for our son's circumcision, and she was incredible. She took her time with us, answered our questions, and made sure our little boy was comfortable throughout the procedure. She did such a great job numbing him that he actually slept through the entire thing. We are so grateful for how smooth and stress free the experience was. I would absolutely recommend her to any parents looking for a doctor for their baby boy's circumcision. The only feedback we had was with the office phone system. As others have mentioned in reviews, it can be very difficult to get through to someone by phone, and I even saw some people come in person just to schedule appointments. Dr. Bodon has been my doctor for many years, and I truly appreciate her knowledge, care, and the way she listens to her patients. She is the main reason I continue to come back, and I trust her medical judgment. That said, the front desk and overall follow-up still need improvement. While phone answering has gotten better compared to the past, there is still a lack of urgency. I left 2-3 voicemails regarding a culture I had done with Biocor and waited about two weeks without a callback. During that time, I called the office multiple times just trying to get an update. Eventually, I went in person, and suddenly the results were available and the prescription was sent to the pharmacy. Unfortunately, I had to go through my symptoms for over 9 days longer than necessary, which was very frustrating. Dr. Bodon herself is great, but better communication, follow-up, and urgency from the front desk and assistants would make a big difference in the overall patient experience. read more

Dr. Bodons office in Palm Desert is a DISGRACE.. I received a Hefty Bill from Labcorp that was not mine.. After several phone calls and no one calling me back I went into the office.. They realized it was a mistake and said it would be taken care of.. It never was.. I received another past due letter.. I talked to the Manager of The Urology Institute, Elsa Guiterezz,they share the same office as Dr. Bodon ,So they are billing for Dr. Bodon and the Urology Institute and They are getting everyone's records mixed up.. She said she would handle it.. The Bill was for a Pap smear to check for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.. Mind you, I'am 78 year old woman.. I'm a Widow that took care of a husband with dementia for many years.. Usually my routine Pap smear is $65.00 This Bill was for $401.85 .. The manager admitted it was wrong and she would be taking care of it with Labcorp.. She also told me that the gal that sent out all these incorrect Bills was fired.. This week I received a letter from Labcorp that they were going to send this Bill in for collection.. I have excellent Credit-and was infuriated by the incompetence of this office.. The manager called me and told me that I would have to handle it with Labcorp.. She totally went back on her word.. She knows this Bill is not mine and admitted it.. I have Emailed Dr. Bodon at least Five times and she has NEVER responded.. She is well aware of what is going on..To me-this is Elder Abuse..Next step Channel Three News.. No one deserves to be treated this way.. read more

In November of 2025 I left voice messages at both of their offices to get an appointment, no one ever called me back, in December I emailed them and no one messaged me back or called me back, in February 2026 I walked in and I got an appointment for May 25th 2026, in April I got a call that the office way going to be closed on my appointment date so they could move it up to May 14th 2026, days before the appointment they called to reschedule I said I'd have to call back because my job doesn't allow me to just leave on one days notice and I had to move things around and preplan everything to go, I finally got my boss to agree after begging so I called the office back, no one answered when I called, I called four times and left messages that yes I'd be able to make it in, the day of the new appointment date and time they called and canceled because " I DID NOT CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT AND THEY GAVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE" they said they can't see me until July 2026 and they would put me on a waiting list and leave a note that I am upset. I told her no and just hung up. Thank you Lisa Bodon for the wonderful experience your office gives its patients. Mind you I wasn't even going to use insurance so everything I was going to get done was out of pocket $400 for the first consultation, maybe this was the universe telling me not to do it. It's so hard to find a doctor who understands HRT and women's hormones during perimenopause. Dr Lisa Bodon is so caring and such an expert on this! She will take her time with you and make sure you feel your absolute best. She even will figure out what your insurance will cover. It is so incredible to have a team mate who truly wants me to have the best life, and didn't stop until these labs were optimal. I think she's great. She also is knowledgeable about lichen sclerosis, which is another specialty that is rare to find in a gyno doctor. She always remembers who I am and even details about my life. There is a wait at the office, but for me it's worth it. I just schedule my day around knowing that she takes her time with every patient, and when it's my turn I'm grateful she is listening to me. read more

I'm not willing to contact the office, nor talk to you ever again! I've been struggling for the last month no thanks to your help. I already did reach out through the patient portal but you didn't bother engaging in any way except to send a lower prescription to the pharmacy without walking me through what to do next. Your burn out is showing. So much for women supporting women. I just hope I can recover from what happened. Instead, there was no discussion of doubling my estrogen dose. I don't need a generic response to my review. Leave it for someone else who's going to believe it. I'm beyond upset. This is my wellbeing we're talking about! While being dismissed by every other doctor, I get to be pretty much dismissed by someone who's supposed to be helping women. After being impressed with my initial and only consultation with Dr. Bodon, I was very quickly shocked at the lack of care. I was put hormone cream and birth control pills for estrogen purposes. I had a very strong and life altering experience. I called the office twice and talked to the receptionist and used the words "hormonal crisis" and that I need to speak to the doctor, left another 3rd message on the machine, using the word hormonal crisis. no response. Ever. I emailed Dr. Bowden two times (after she gave me her card and said email me anytime) using the same terminology, no response email. I called the office to cancel my follow up appointment and to tell them how disappointed I was. No follow up. Shame on this office. After my first appointment, I referred Dr. Bodon's to a friend who also called 3 times and left messages with no response. There are many bad reviews here and the fact that there has been no response or apology by this office to people that they hurt in a significant way says everything. read more

Be aware that Dr. Bodon's office charges a CC Fee for payments. A) This is not disclosed at the time of booking and B) Is against the law in California. In addition, if you are visiting for hormone treatments, she will push drugs that I suspect she gets kickbacks on. I am not overweight, but she pushed pretty hard for me to start taking Ozempic (or similar). I declined and mentioned that my SIL is a physician and we have discussed the problems with these drugs so I was not interested. She got visibly upset and later commented that my SIL must be very thin and not understand. She also didn't do any level of physical before starting me on a variety of hormone treatments (which seems suspicious). And finally, at the end of the appointment I realized she had someone in video on her computer during our appt. The entire experience felt more like seeing one of those "pain doctors" that hands out opioid vs. a doctor visit. read more

Dr. Bodon's office is the most unethical I've come across in all my years of specialists. First, they collected my insurance information weeks before my first new patient visit and failed to tell me that they were out of network costing me hundreds of dollars for routine care that should have been covered including a new patient intake meeting where she talked to me for five minutes and it cost $400. Second, and this was before I knew she was out of network, I was on my second visit for a routine pap smear and IUD removal. She was not able to remove the IUD for failure to see the string. She mentioned that she would like to schedule me for a surgery to remove it and that I would hear from the scheduler. I had to follow up with the scheduler weeks later myself as no one from her office bothered to call me. What's worse is that she and her office are committing insurance fraud by billing Anthem Bluecross for services not performed. For example, she submitted a code to bill the insurance provider for a surgery for the IUD removal, which never happened, while I was in her office. When I called to have it corrected, her office gave me the runaround and transferred me to different departments, all of which were unhelpful and to date I still have no resolution for the fraudulent charges. And yes, I did file a grievance with the insurance company. This review is to warn others of her office's deceitful practices. read more

I can never take HRT except for progesterone because of Dr Bodon. She pumped me full of hormones with a bunch of false promises and I ended up being riddled with fibroids because she didn't follow-up properly and "forgot" to prescribe progesterone. My levels were at toxic levels and I was sent to an Eisenhower ONCOLOGIST who told me this stuff is "POISON." He's some of three Eisenhower docs that have told me her prescribing this stuff is unethical. It's all about the money and cramming as many appointments in as possible. I will follow Dr. Bodon anywhere. I Have been seeing her for almost 20 years and I will not go anywhere else. If for some reason she is not in network with my new insurance, I will pay cash just to see her. She has helped me tremendously with my HRT and is always so kind, gentle and caring. She answers any questions I have and I feel like I can talk to her as a friend as well as my doctor. She is the best in the business. The office staff has always been very kind to me. I went to the wrong office one time (my mistake) and, though I said I was going to be 25 minutes late, they were so accommodating and worked me in without hesitation or "attitude". Dr. Lisa Bodon is an amazing doctor and human being. She is the most caring doctor I have ever encountered. After some frustrating conversations with my GP doctor, regarding feeling lethargic, and loss of libido, I had my testosterone checked. It was quite low, but within the normal range. My GP doc would not prescribe Replacement Therapy. I asked for a referral and connected with Dr. Bodon. She immediately got me on Testosterone Replacement Therapy as well as some meds for weight loss. After just a couple weeks, I was feeling fantastic with great energy and a much improved libido. After 4 months, I have lost 42 lbs! Dr. Bodon has been very encouraging and goes the extra mile to check in with me and my progress. As my friends have seen my health improvement, they too wanted to meet Dr. Bodon. I now have several friends seeing her and they are having equally great success. I was referred to Dr.Boden by my PCP for Endo pain. She took the time to listen to me and consider my history and symptoms. She ordered an ultrasound, even though she did not suspect anything, and found 13 cysts. My next appointment she handed me a copy of my results and a page of treatment options and prices to consider. Pretty disappointing. Following my daughter's surgery, the assisting nurse told me that they "were not able to do the ablation, but did everything else." We found out later that "everything else" was not done - the first priority of the surgery was not accomplished. Additionally, we returned to the office because my daughter was experiencing severe abdominal area bruising following the surgery. Dr. Bodon shrugged it off with no explanation and no offer of recommendations for next steps. I called to discuss my concerns and after navigating the the loop of phone messages, I left a message and was told a return call would happen in 24 to 48 hours. No return call. A nurse friend then looked at the bruising and recommended a visit to the ER, suggesting something could have been punctured. The bruising worsened and then started to get better during the 3-day hospital visit with continuous monitoring and testing. It seems that Dr. Bodon and staff could and should have done much better on this one. read more

I needed to visit her office 5 times in as many months to address an issue and with each visit they were very friendly & professional. They run a smooth and efficient office, not once did I wait longer than 15 minutes to be seen! Hands down Dr. Lisa Bodon is the best Gyno in the the desert. She has given me my life back and I am finally living without pain. She really has been the only Gyno I have ever been to that has given me options and hope for my Stage 4 Endometriosis. I ultimately needed a full Hysterectomy and a complete roto rooter of my entire middle cavity, no regrets. I am 40 years old and have never lived a day without pain since I was 13.
