Usually there are 5 different varieties of trees offered by Buckelew Farm: Douglas Fir, Noble Fir, Grand Fir, Nordman Fir and Blue Spruce. The staff members are always willing to open up a few trees if you don't see "the one" in the lot. They trim the bottom for you to make sure it will fit your stand! They were knowledgeable, kind, let us have our space to look, but were helpful when we needed them. They had so many selections of different sizes and it was organized well. The price is comparable (if not less) than the one down the street, but this one goes to a good cause. And the joy and pride on the young boys face when we bought a tree was so heartwarming. We opened three trees, all of them dry and gappy, before we were abruptly and somewhat rudely told we could open no more, as "they're all the same," and people wouldn't buy the unwrapped trees. The prices for the quality of trees and service at the lot were not good, although there was one very kind and helpful man who was happy to help us before the older man intervened to stop him. Overall, we will think twice before going to this lot again.
