The staff members are always willing to open up a few trees if you don't see "the one" in the lot. They trim the bottom for you to make sure it will fit your stand! We opened three trees, all of them dry and gappy, before we were abruptly and somewhat rudely told we could open no more, as "they're all the same," and people wouldn't buy the unwrapped trees. The prices for the quality of trees and service at the lot were not good, although there was one very kind and helpful man who was happy to help us before the older man intervened to stop him.
