I talked with the person working there, they are trying to be the pub for the neighborhood as well as the golf course. I did not eat any of the food, so not able to put in a review for that, but I will mention, they are going to be open even when the golf club is not. So great options if you are in this neighborhood. They do have a rental area for parties, I have seen weddings and graduation parties here. It is lovely inside with lots of windows and looking out over the golf course. Back to the golf, I love that the golf carts keep your score and can email it out to you. It is also convenient to see everything at once. There are areas where the fairways are narrow and balls are flying, so you do need to be a little more cognizant of play! There is a ranger to keep things moving at the start. We were there early in the year, but I believe they have beer runners as well! There is a driving range next to the clubhouse. Parking is easy. Coming around to hole 10, easy to get to the restroom and get lunch at the Par 5 Pub. Friendly staff, clean carts. My only complaint is that they definitely slow the golf carts down a lot on downhills and bridges (kind of funny how slow). Overall, very recommended. Had a great Mother's Day at Brookshire. We annually get golf reservations for Father's Day as a round of golf is a perfect gift and a great way to get some fresh air. But, I think the guys like the beer cart that delivers beer while out on the course. Anyway, there is a nice facility/club house that hosts weddings and other events, has a pro shop and a snack bar downstairs. The pro shop and snack bar are open to the public as well. Recently, the facility hosted area residents for the 2024 Eclipse viewing. Guests could sit on their lovely patio or bring chair to sit in the grass. The snack bar has a limited menu of sandwiches and fries which are prepared fresh. The staff is super friendly and banters with the regulars. There are tv monitors in the eating area and about six tables. You can also take your food outside and eat on the patio and watch the golfers. I had the chicken club wrap which is served warm and is very good. the sandwich was filled with bite-size pieces of chicken, tomatoes and lots of onions. I like onions but if you don't you may want them to hold the onions. The fries are ok. Very hot, but not crispy as I like. The fries are over salted for my taste. The burgers are good served with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. The kids enjoyed their hot dogs. They have a good selection of beer and the prices are really reasonable. This is a great facility that many people do not know is open to the public.

Summary of Wedding Experience at Valle Vista Country Club My…read morewedding at Valle Vista Country Club was marked by numerous service failures, poor coordination, and unmet contractual promises that significantly impacted what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime event. Several services that were promised and paid for were either delayed, unavailable, or not provided as agreed. Guests were supposed to receive a champagne toast, but only the bride and groom received a bottle while guests were left without champagne. A cash bar that had been paid for was not set up on time because no bartender had been scheduled. A bartender eventually arrived late after being called in as an emergency replacement. The reception room was not fully prepared upon arrival. Decorative items and table settings that had been provided in advance were left boxed and unassembled, requiring family members and early guests to complete the setup themselves on the wedding day. Despite assurances that venue access would be available for decorating and preparation, access was restricted due to other events taking place. Multiple areas promised for wedding photography were unavailable because they were being used by other wedding parties. The venue shuttle, which was especially important for elderly guests and guests with mobility limitations, was unavailable because it was being used elsewhere. As a result, several guests were forced to walk long distances. Assigned seating was not managed because coordinators were not present to direct guests. Food service was delayed, and the event appeared to be affected by scheduling conflicts with other weddings occurring simultaneously. The bride's dressing room was vacated earlier than expected despite prior arrangements for additional use. One coordinator, who appeared inexperienced and overwhelmed, was left managing the event with limited support while repeatedly seeking guidance over a walkie-talkie. Although two coordinators had been promised, adequate staffing was not provided. Despite raising concerns throughout the planning process and paying all fees, including additional guest charges, months in advance, no meaningful apology or acknowledgment was received from management. Conclusion A wedding day cannot be repeated. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage couples to carefully consider whether this venue can reliably deliver the services and coordination promised for such an important event.

They handled the crowd with ease and had everything running so smoothly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. It's clear this venue has a lot of experience with weddings. One thing I really appreciated was how they ensured no golfers were anywhere near the ceremony or wedding party. I'll admit, I was a little nervous about a rogue golf ball making an unexpected appearance, but I didn't see a single golfer in sight--even though it was a perfect day and I just know the course was busy!! Huge kudos to the entire team for their organization, professionalism, and making it such a seamless, beautiful celebration!

Another thing for out of towners to know is that New Fields is the Indianapolis Museum of Art. For some reason, the name throws people off. New Fields also includes the Lilly house, Garden, and Fairbanks Nature Center. Personally, I would start the garden. Walk into the main entrance, and walk to the right from the ticket desk. Follow the signs and you'll end up in the garden. You could spend a day or two out there. Just enjoying it. Oh, and don't forget that they are members of NARM and AHS, so many reciprocal museum memberships will get you free entrance into New Fields.

They are world renowned for being the home of the Rocky Mountain Oyster Sandwich (hog nuts). But they have also have a pretty darn good tenderloin. I took my dad there today and he said that the food tastes pretty close to the old Bud Fadely's recipes from the 50's and 60's.
