The service at this location is the absolute worst customer service I've experienced in all of my life at any establishment. The lady that's the manager that was there on Monday 11/11/24 was the rudest and most intimidating and discriminating person, I've ever met in my life!! I was coming back to pick up the chain and Jesus pendant because on Sunday the day before they didn't have time to cash me out ,they was closing and the manager was already trying to cash out another customer. so they held a necklace for me behind the counter ,so I was just returning the next day to pay for the necklace and charm my husband and I got our son for his 16th birthday. It unfortunately ended in me leaving without the necklace and charm because the manager woman said she put the necklace back on the shelf with the rest of the jewelry they're selling , even though I called and said I was on my way an hour prior. I asked her why did she put the necklace back when the girl that answered the phone said they still were holding it for me like they promised they would the day before. The manager said because no one bought it that's why I put it back. Then I said but I called a little while ago and told you guys I was coming. She said because I do what I want on the manager and nobody is above me. Can you message I said okay well I have to find the same necklace and charm but at least I'll be able to get the 20% off sale that I was promised to get, you know because I was trying to keep a positive attitude only to have the manager lady say no you're not getting the 20% off sale because it's ended. I said no because they showed me the paper yesterday and it's good until the end of the day. She said that she goes by her own protocol and that no one can make a decision above what she say. I just asked if there was any way I could please speak to her superviser she said no there is nobody above me. I asked if I could please be helped by the girl that help me the day before and she said no because she's on break so I said it's okay I'll wait and I waited for about 20 minutes and then I had to interrupt the manager that was having a conversation with the other employees to ask if someone could please cash me out and find the necklace from the day before that I picked for my son and she said oh no I'm sorry I didn't tell you we're not helping you at all please get out of my store. My husband went the next day to get it for my son cuz he's disabled and very sick and was really looking forward to getting that necklace and charm for his birthday only for him to be kicked out of the store and told he's not allowed back in the store himself because anyone that's related to me a family member is not allowed to do business with us. We do not understand what the heck happened and why this happened it doesn't make sense. I've been a valued customer for over 15-20 years spending thousands of dollars a year only to be treated like a homeless criminal that was trying to rob them or something when actually I feel like I'm the one who got robbed. I went to these people with some Super Bowl, MBA and NBA Championship rings I had left over from a business I previously had. SportRingStore.com. They said they weren't interested. I went to another pawn shop, they bought them all for $6 each. Sold them for $39 each. Made a 640% profit. A couple months later I went back to them to look for a weed eater. Asked about the rings they said they sold ALL OF THEM! THEY'RE ALL GONE! Value Pawn didn't have the vision or just didn't know the industry. Anyone going to a pawn shop is looking for a DEAL! And to be able to buy a perfect replica of your favorite teams Championship ring just makes sense! And 600%+ profit works for any business person. Want to buy some broken crap or pay more for stuff than you would at a regular retail store? Then this is the store for you! I went in yesterday and bought a lot of stuff. Spent over $300, went home and the ps3 I bought was broken. I even paid for warranties, which I never do. I was told I had 24 hours to return it. So I went in the next morning and was told I can only exchange it or get store credit. I had the ps3 for about twelve hours. So I was forced to exchange it for another one. The icing in the cake was this speaker I bought, I later found at other store brand new for cheaper. Because of this, they lost a future customer so I hope their greed was worth it. read more

Pompano Value Pawn on Powerline is a safe place to shop with all sales people wearing masks.Not crowded and bargains if you know what things cost retail.Sometimes you have to wait till item has been there awhile and cost goes down.Seth one of the best sales men there has always been helpful with a great attitude.I usually stop in once a week or two and see if there are any new items.As far as pawn shops go Value Pawn is #1 !!!!!! I was reading some of the reviews below and since they were old I thought I would add my 2 cents since I was JUST in there. I do not typically write reviews but I need to say that the staff, Ivan, Andy, Steve, and JT were extremely personable. We laughed and cut up during my 200+ transaction. I was in the store for a while because it was crowded but these 4 gentleman handled it. They made me feel welcome since I am new to So. Flo. The prices were the best, I have not shopped at a pawn shop in a while but I was able to get a NICE Dell laptop for 100 buck, it was more, I haggled and they honored. Soooo, I say all of this to say that whoever these earlier responses and comments HAD to be with another staff. It MUST be under new management. Regularly (intentionally?) prices items over the retail price. $179 at Home Depot = $199 at Value Pawn. Silver currently at $13.82 an ounce = $100 an ounce at Value Pawn. Etc. When asked about the prices no one even blinks. They all know the prices are outrageous and are just preying on uninformed shoppers. read more
