After the Mississauga one probably the biggest location, I think its bigger than the Lansdowne one. the selection and brands are more miss than hit but I did skip some sections like pants, capri, workout shorts, blazers and some mens categories. Some items were really overpriced like well worn tna and pink shirts for $9.99 and 14.99 also two zara items for $12-13 a piece which is the price items often go for on sale. way too few brands for its size, I read in reviews staff picks the best for themselves. personal care section isn't bad though which is quite nice. 2.7/5 read more

This is by far the largest value village I've been to. Love to go into the home essentials, games, and jewellery section just to see what unique and interesting items I'll come across. My bf and I had too much time to kill and came across an interesting, yet very childish board game called dizzy dizzy dinosaur. We decided to give it a shot since it was only $3.99. Most things you'll find here are a steal but there will be some items you can definitely find elsewhere for a cheaper or similar price but new. read more

I came here on Tuesday, January 9th at 1pm. Selection is decent but the only reason for this is that the prices are a really high for anything worth buying at all. Service is abysmal as I asked for repricing on an item that was internally damaged and rendered it unusable (i wanted it because it was usable enough for my hobby) which was missed on inspection and the supervisor at the front lazily replied that it was just priced. So you're telling me because something was just priced that it shouldn't be checked again for an obvious error that was missed by the sorters in the back? What does time of pricing have to do in relation to broken or not broken. In a month the pricing sticker will turn green and it'll still be broken and you'll have to either trash it or reprice it because no one is going to buy a broken item. Why not do it now and get it over with? I know you have lady had the authority to do so too. That's like saying let's continue the slave trade because that's how it has always been. Disgusting behaviour and a logical fallacy with her way of thinking. No wonder she works at Value Village. Alas, I left with a sizable purchase (you'd think that you could get a little more respect and attention for the amount I'm spending at this literal dump that's peddling garbage to people but no) but not with the item I wanted because at these prices, it's just not worth it. read more

One of my favourite stores but you need to leave yourself time to really look around to find the best deals. I always find the most amazing things here when I am not looking for anything in particular. It is a good idea to know general prices of things you are interested in before going because sometimes the prices are not always a better deal. And it is also wise to thoroughly check all items for rips, tears, and imperfections before you buy. I started shopping here for kid's toys years ago and then discovered the many, many other great deals on books, housewares, clothes, shoes and accessories. This is one of their largest stores and was recently renovated which probably explains the higher prices since they re-opened. The store is well laid out and I usually start at one end and work my way through all the departments. There are change rooms so you can try on clothing but it is hit and miss when it comes to lineups. They limit you to 6 items at a time but when it is not busy I have gone in with more. They will accept exchanges but not returns. You need to make sure the tags are still on and you only have 7 days. I have asked on occasion for an extended period if I haven't been able to make it back to the store in time but that is at the manager's discretion. Many times throughout the year they have promotions where you get stamps/punches on a loyalty card for every $5 spent and a full card gets you a 30% discount. You can also earn discounts for donations - 5% discount for a large donation bag (up to 30%). This store has a drive up donation centre around back with great staff. They also regularly have 50% sale days. If you sign up for their Super Savers card you get one day advance shopping for these sales. This is a great advantage since on those sale days the store (and parking lot) is absolutely insane. The checkout process can take some time depending on who is working the cash and the people in line. Many of the staff are excellent and incredibly tolerant. I always take the items off the hangers while waiting to speed up the process. read more

This review is not specific to anyone value Village store. This is a general complaint against the predatory refund policies of this company. After Covid, they decided to get rid of their change rooms to create more space to sell more stuff to make more money. As a result, there is no way to try on clothes in the store.If you take the clothes home and they do not fit they will not give you your money back. They will only give credit or exchange. I went in to buy three pairs of jeans. The ones I wanted were only in my size, so if they did not fit I could not exchange them for a different size. despite this, they still will not give you a cash refund. I am on welfare. Spending $50 on three pairs of pants is a big cash outlay for me. For them to extort my money and then tell me that I have to buy something I don't need is criminal. I called on all consumers to ban value Village. Do not shop there. Help me on social media bring light to this unacceptable policy. Until value Village changes this policy, I will never shop there again. read more

I've looked here regularly for years. Seldom buy. Prices have steadily gone up and reached STUPID level. High staff turnover. Not the largest VV by far. VV DOES get a LOT FREE, from ordinary folks dumping stuff off. A lot of pricing & stocking of broken junk, overly worn clothes. Way too much non-clothing space devoted to plasticware, metal wire things, plain glass vases. Tiny jumbled furniture section. Crapped up small lighting section. Wall art section a much-too-small dump, a crapped up mess, totally bad amateur practice canvases should be dumped in a cart, same with notice boards, empty picture frames belong in picture frames aisle, mirrors should have separate bin. At least they moved some larger pieces to a wall AT THE OPPOSITE FAR END OF THE STORE. Used books are ridiculous prices. Halloween promotion starts early AUGUST, takes huge amount of space. read more

I'm an avid thrift shopper and have been to all V V 's in the GTA and surrounding areas including Niagara. As of a few years ago, the Richmond Hill location has deteriorated. The store is usually messy, prices are high, and the MAJORITY of the staff is RUDE and very unfriendly. These people have jobs because of customers; therefore, they need to exhibit better customer service. On many occasions I have witnessed employees speak a foreign language in front of customers. Simply unacceptable! Advice to Value Village corporate office: Teach store managers and staff on how to speak to people/customers in a respectable way. Please "clean up" this store with new staff. read more

Crazy prices. I found for kidds indoor shoes for 7,99 and the same shoes new at dollarama for 3 dollars. That is insane , for new shoes 3 bucks and for used ones from Value in Richmond Hill 7,99. I talked to a manager today , and he said that : I am not the manager who put the prices but I can can help you: I told him NO, because you have to fix the prices for everyone not just for people who complain. This was just an example, The other Values have better prices than this one. I was 4 days ago in Value of Courtice , the prices were so impressive . I spent there $150.
