My eye caught the attention of the backed by the BBB sign. I called and set up an appointment when much to my surprise, one of the owners came to my home to access my backyard specifications. Not too often do you see the owner do this. One of the Friendliest people I have ever met. Soon after that, another owner with his crew showed up to begin the work. When framed with wood and the cement in, they put a hard coating on top with the stamp of my liking into it and it was then sealed. I was impressed with the crew that was very friendly and hard working. The lead construction worker came and asked me one more time what I wanted so that it was right. the owner came before the job and asked me also, what I wanted so the job was done right, and I would be pleased with the outcome. When completed, I noticed that some of the coloring that they put down was much lighter in a few areas and I was not totally happy with the results. The owner then contacted me and addressed what was wrong. He then came to my house himself and put more coloring in the areas that I thought didn't look right. then it was sealed again in some areas. he didn't have to do this, but he wanted me to be 100% pleased with his product. Wow, I have never had a company make such an effort to do a job well done and to my specifications. I could tell that the company and their reputation meant a lot to them. Although it took longer than expected to complete because of the rainy spring we had, the owner kept in contact with me through the entire time it took to put my patio in. Some in the past have left me many days, wondering if and when they were coming back. This company has owners and workers who care and have a conscience about doing a job well done and the happiness of their client. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had working with landscapers. Beyond horrible communication and unprofessional crew. If you choose to work with this company, know that you will never hear from them once you sign a quote, they will randomly show up at your home unannounced whenever they please, and will never ever discuss anything with you before, during, or after the process. Our experience: We were told that work would begin weeks ago on a Monday, and would take about 3 days to complete. Monday rolls around and no one shows up, no one calls, nothing. Tuesday: no one shows up, no one calls, or returns our calls from the day prior. The third day, around noon, a couple of guys pull up to my house, and I go outside to greet them. They look confused when they see me and I ask if they are here to work on the lawn. They say yes. I tell them to watch out for an underground hornets nest and point to it. One of the men walks up to it and proceeds to spit a loogie down into the nest in front of me. I was completely grossed out and highly uncomfortable. They worked for a half a day and never returned the rest of the week. Again, zero contact. After many calls, attempting to gain clarity on when they would be working on our yard, my husband was able to speak to someone who finally revealed that they are "behind schedule" due to rain. They said the crew would be back over some time next week to keep working. The following Monday, I'm working from home, and hear some random person walking all around my yard and the side of my house. He drove up early in the morning in an unbranded car, did not introduce himself, and it actually freaked me out so bad that I nearly called the cops. Turns out it was just one of the landscapers checking out the work that was already done, which my husband was able to confirm after (yet again) reaching out to THEM to inquire if they had come to the house. A lack of communication, yet again. The rest of the week they never returned, with (you guessed it) zero outreach. At this point I'm beginning to feel like we're getting scammed. Finally, the third week later, after many calls and texts back and forth, they show up two days in a row to complete the job. Again, no knocks on the door, no communication whatsoever. They finished on that Wednesday, and not once contacted us to let us know the job was done. They rolled out sod in our backyard, and never gave us instructions on how to care for it or what to even do with it. Yes looking back we should have done our research, but this is also our first time with sod. Keep in mind, we had no idea if they were still working on the yard due to ZERO communication throughout this entire experience. We thought perhaps they had more they were working on, as we had several things they were doing. How hard would it have been for someone to knock on the door, let us know they were done, and asked if we had any questions??? It is now the Monday after. Surprise, surprise, We had to reach out to THEM to ask if they were finished with the job. They said yes. We are literally missing TWO peony bushes they claim to have trimmed back and "replanted". I have no clue where they even replanted them. I won't be surprised if they never bloom next spring. Please please do yourself a favor and find someone else to work with. I so regret working with this company. Save yourself the stress and money. I am angry beyond belief that we have had to do all of the communication with this business. I understand being behind schedule due to circumstances out of your control. But as the consumer paying thousands of dollars to have work done, I should not have to BEG you to contact me back to let me know when you'll be showing up, and to have a progress update every now and then, especially when you claim to be finished with the project we're paying for.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the attic lacked adequate insulation, with only 2-3 inches of deteriorated insulation present. Additionally, the entire attic, ceiling, and chimney required vapor sealing and the removal of old insulation. To ensure optimal sealing of the home, the basement exterior rim joist should also be foam sealed. Prioritize Energy Testing: Conducted both before and after the re-insulation of the home. The purpose of this test is to identify the existing insulation characteristics of the home and compare them to those after re-insulation. Insulation Team: Tyler, Nick, and Trevor - all highly skilled and professional individuals who consistently provided us with updates throughout the entire process. The attic upgrade process involves several steps: 1. Removal of old insulation. 2. Chimney wrapping and proper ventilation of the bathroom vent fan. 3. Covering the pod ceiling light and adding vent panels for the eaves. 4. Sealing the entire attic and ceiling with spray foam. 5. Spraying in 17 inches of cellulose insulation (fire retardant, pest retardant, higher R-value, and 100% recycled). 6. Construction of a new attic access cover with insulation. Basement Rim Joist Sealing: The entire basement rim joist was sealed with foam. Prior to this work, we had capped the concrete block basement wall tops with rigid foam and caulked in 2022. Current Residence: Acquired in 2022, necessitating extensive maintenance. Previous Energy Upgrades: 1. In 2022, the furnace and ducting were replaced. 2. In 2022 and 2025, the 1954 windows were replaced. 3. In 2026, the outdated air conditioning system was replaced with a Bryant VAN 290 Heat Pump. Why Choose a Heat Pump: Prioritize Energy Efficiency Conclusion: 1. Keeney's sales process was entirely transparent. 2. The initial energy testing revealed that our home requires upgrades. 3. Scheduling was flexible and accommodated our timeframe. 4. The work was completed as expected and met our expectations. 5. The final focus on energy testing is pending.
