After 3 months, we dug it up and took it back. We were told that it was last years stock, and there is no guarantee on sale items. It would have been nice if we were told that when we purchased the shrub, since if we had known they sell plants that are not alive, why would we have bought it. I have NEVER purchased a plant that did not live in my life, until we went to Van Zeeland's. Obviously, I will never go back again to purchase over priced, no guarantee stock from them.

In each instance, he has been very professional and quick to correct any issues that have arisin, even issues not related to him. Every landscape project will have issues (weather, product, site, home contractor, etc.), its how a landscape company deals with it that counts. One such issue was a breadown in a paver sanding product. Jake personally oversaw the repair of the product until it was fully resolved. This is true integrity. Do not hesitate to use this company

He said it would get done the week of August 4th by his crew while he was on a trip to Canada. That week goes by and no one shows up. We call the following week and talk with Mike's wife. She said she would have Mike call us back. Four days go by, still no call, so we call again, we get a hold of Mike. He says he's been busy, which we understand, but has to push us back to mid-September because his "bread and butter" client needs a project done that will take two weeks. We're a smaller size job so, fine, we get it, money first to him. Mid-September rolls around, no one shows, no one calls. We call him on the 15th, we call him on the 16th, nothing. So, I drive out to his barn and find him. He's actually there. Says he feels bad, we can call other landscapers if we want. I'm a little upset but I get it, he's busy and pushing us back. I said to him he's the guy we want to work with and we'll now wait until early October to get the job done. I called him last week Friday, Saturday, and now today and finally got a hold of him. He now tells us he can't do the project at all. We have deadlines with our HOA and they have been very lenient with us on this due to Mike being dodgy but they've had enough and so have we. We're now in a bad spot because we can't just snap our fingers and find a landscaper who's available now. Mike left us out to dry and wasted three months of our time. He made promises he could not fulfill and kept pushing our job back for some reason he would not reveal to us. He was difficult to get a hold of and if I had to do this all over again, I wish I had read reviews on him and just stayed away. His price may be nice but it is NOT worth the headache and the heartache. Find someone more reliable who actually follows through with what they say.

They came to look at the job Friday as promised. This business is licensed, insured, & gave me a very fair-priced quote. After going home briefly, returning within the hour, & the job was done yet Friday afternoon. This hedge was old with deep roots; others had looked at the job & ghosted me. Now my siding & window contractor will not be required longer to struggle with the hedge in their way. I will not hesitate to use PK & Son services again & highly recommend them.
