I was in another accident in June 2022 and the second time going to Van Law was incredibly frustrating. This frustration is completely directed at the case management side. From February to August 2023 I never got a single update about my case. It wasn't until I called their office directly and got to speak with my lawyer, Angela, did I learn that I was supposed to receive monthly updates regarding my case and even she herself regarded my experience as unacceptable. That's when she took it upon herself to personally update me on my case. Went to pick up my check today and was told by the receptionist that my case management Karin would be with me in a little bit. Two hours later, I run into Karin myself only for him to tell me no one had told him that I was there. So yeah, the lawyers are good. The person I called through the website was hard to understand and very and the call was very muddled I was then told it was just a call center then they transferred me to Van Van. When I asked their representative if they had done much dental malpractice he said they were just a referral firm and did not handle the case himself. On top of that they wanted to know what state I was in and they were very difficult to understand. I played by a three strike rule they made all three strikes. I decided to go back to the internet. I was in a car accident July of 21. I was recommended to Van Law from the tow truck driver (my first mistake). Since going with this law firm I went through 4-6 different attorneys. I would call and my calls were not returned. After I called and complained that my calls were not being returned they finally called back. I was told what doctor I had to see also what chiropractor I had to go to. I did go to the chiropractor they sent me to once. After that I told the attorney I was uncomfortable there and would not go back. I picked my own chiropractor and went there. The pain management doctor that they sent me to right away wanted to give me injections which I refused. The whole thing seemed shady to me. They were not considerate of my time. I received a call telling me the attorney would call me on a specific date and time to discuss arbitration. When I asked if I could get called at a different time or day because I had to work I was told no that this was the only day and time. This cost me a day of work because I had to call in just to speak to the attorney. When I mentioned this to my last attorney he said he could of called me whatever day and time I needed him to. There is no communication in that office.... In my opinion. After I agreed to a settlement I get a phone call telling me no asking me, telling me I had arbitration on a certain date and time. I said no I don't, we agreed on a settlement and I also explained that I have a job and a life you just can't call and make demands on people. If I would of taken my last offer before I decided to have a deposition I would of received almost the same amount I did receive. The deposition made the attorneys office more money because the fee went Up to 40%. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Save yourself the time and the headache and do not use this attorney. Please remember this is my opinion and my experience. This was the worst experience I ever had with an attorney. Of course my last accident was over 20 years ago and it was a different attorney. This one is NOT RECOMMENDED by me. My last attorney Robert English was great! He did everything he told me he was going to do. it's too bad he works for this law firm. My accident occurred on the last day of August last year and when looking on yelp for a lawyer I reached out to about 10. Van law firm reached out to me within the minute of sending my inquiry and I'm glad she did. She sent over her assistant Karin to my house within an hour. Got into a car accident July 2020 and didn't think anything of being injured since the accident wasn't crazy. Turned out that I had a concussion, pretty bad neck and low back injuries that lead to some nerve and muscle problems. The firm helped me go the conservative route since I wanted to try physical therapy and chiro first before injections, loved that they respected my decision to try those first and educated me on the insurance precautions of everything.
