The initial construction seemed very good but then there was no coordination of the subcontractors. The builder had a hard time remembering his different projects. Comments like "we will give you the good people today" when noticed things not done well and "oh, they did not do that?" when asked about a detail that was discussed but not done. I wanted all "good people" every day for everything! The electrical seems to be the worse. Subcontractors with "promised" help after built do not call back after many calls. My family has had to call our own subcontractors to fix the horrible work done by the builder's subcontractors. Only 1 year in the house with some steps crumbling, replaced many breakers since waking up to no power to parts of the house, and brown streaks coming from the gutters. All this after asking for repairs before even moving in. My family did not build on Davis Island (when asked where the builder was - "building his Davis Island homes") so I guess we got the "bad people". I worked directly with Ken Jack (also known as Haim Jack and Shai Jack) and Jay Metzer on a concrete lanai, screen enclosure, and home improvement project at my home in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Because prospective customers often research both companies and the individuals behind them before signing contracts, I believe it is important to identify the individuals involved in my experience: * Ken Jack * Haim Jack * Shai Jack * Jay Metzer * Beyond Build & Power LLC I paid more than $41,000 in deposits toward a patio, screen enclosure, and related home improvement work. What should have been a straightforward construction project became one of the most frustrating, expensive, and time-consuming experiences I have had as a homeowner. The outdoor project involved a concrete lanai and screen enclosure. As work progressed, I became increasingly concerned about the quality of the site preparation, grading, engineering, permitting, and overall project management. Large portions of my lawn and landscaping were damaged, multiple holes were excavated throughout the project area, and the project was left unfinished. I later learned that significant portions of the work would need to be completely redone by a replacement contractor. I also experienced substantial interior damage after a plumbing fixture was improperly installed. A slow leak developed behind a bathroom vanity and went undetected until major damage had already occurred. When the vanity was removed, extensive mold growth and water damage were found throughout the cabinetry, drywall, and surrounding materials. Cabinets had to be removed and replaced, walls had to be opened, and remediation work became necessary because of the damage caused by the leak. When issues arose, I repeatedly attempted to resolve them directly with Ken Jack and Jay Metzer through emails, text messages, phone calls, and requests for corrective action. Communication eventually stopped and my concerns went unresolved. I ultimately terminated the contract and initiated arbitration through the American Arbitration Association. Beyond Build & Power did not appear at the arbitration hearing despite receiving notice. The arbitration proceeded based upon the evidence presented. Following the evidentiary hearing, the arbitrator found that Beyond Build & Power breached the contract, that I had sufficient grounds to terminate the agreement, and that the work performed before termination provided no value because it had to be completely redone by a replacement contractor. The arbitrator also ruled in my favor regarding the plumbing leak and resulting property damage. The arbitrator awarded me $46,851.81. On June 10, 2026, the Hillsborough County Court confirmed that arbitration award and entered a final judgment against Beyond Build & Power LLC in the amount of approximately $47,323 plus interest. The company did not defend the court action, and a default final judgment was entered. 【1-5e31be】 One of the most frustrating aspects of this experience is what happened after the judgment. Despite obtaining an arbitration award and court judgment, I have still not been able to recover the money owed to me. Collection efforts have required additional legal proceedings, expense, and time well beyond the original dispute. Do not use this company. We were excited at first, the team quickly responded to our timeline and…read moredid a nice job with the demolition of our kitchen and bathroom. However, the workmanship was extremely poor, the communication almost nonexistent and the work is still incomplete. A year later we are still finding surprises. Our kitchen cabinets, while custom, were very low quality (contract states high quality). The laminate is bubbling now. The electrical was absolutely not to code, many ceiling and wall light fixtures were connected with wire nuts and shoved into the walls without proper electrical boxes (and the LED based ceiling light fixtures included a proper enclosure as part of their assembly ). One outlet under a cabinet does not work (even after an electrician came out to fix it). The electrical wiring in two other cabinets are not properly routed through electrical conduit. High voltage electrical was run through a low voltage panel and connected with electrical tape. The kitchen range hood was mounted way too high and a drawer under our stove is broken and does not close properly because it hits a gas line. They fixed the closure issue with a tight 90 degree bend in the gas line. Drawer is still broken however There are several areas unfinished or shoddily completed. We recently discovered our freestanding bathtub is not fastened rigidly to the floor. My Handyman Express has had over a year to address most of these issues, a few were discovered in the last month or so. A lawyer helped us get some attention, but many issues are still not resolved. Last thing we heard is that Carlos has not paid the cabinet people, but he also has not fixed our cabinet issues either. Instead he is blaming the cabinet makers. Which is fine, but the GC and needs to solve this for us. And besides the cabinet makers didn't do the electrical and other finishes. There's no accountability as far as I can tell.. Stay far away from this company.

And someone from "world class" just showed up this morning completely unannounced. The guys coming out do not look professional in even the slightest. Dealing with this company has been so uncomfortable and a complete nightmare. Our property management company has used them as a vendor many times before and have said they continue to get many complaints about them as well.

On the surface…read moreeverything looked fine but as time as gone on I am seeing things that were not done correctly. They used a sprayer to paint the ceiling in the kitchen. There is over spray on the top of all the cabinets - it isnt really noticible until you open the cabinet door, but it is there. He said he would level the living room floor before installing LVP, but I can tell now now it is not leveled. Very few of the outlets and receptacles were installed flush with the wall. Some are cockeyed or protrude a bit. Everything in the kitchen is too tight. Some doors on the cabinets they installed won't open all the way where they butt up against another cabinet. There is insulation protruding around the dishwasher where they installed it. I made it very clear how much space I needed for the fridge. They used a too-thick drywall and reduced the space. They installed the baseboards then placed the vanities in the bathrooms. There is a space between the back of the vanity and the wall. This is all just little stuff I didn't notice before I made final payment. When I did find it, I called and left a message. Brian didn't bother to call back. I reduced my review to 3 stars because of this. They earned the 3 stars because they worked with me on payments (the insurance took a while), they showed up on time, and there were no language barriers with the crews.

My wife and I entered into the contract and project with good faith and high hopes for Home Love…read more Unfortunately we were let down at almost every stage of the project. A permit issue wouldn't allow us to do everything we wanted which is no fault of Home Love's. However, we received zero communication for over a month. Communication resumed only after we added another project to the contract. We went through 3 separate Project Managers. Had a dumpster sit in front of our house for 3 weeks with ZERO work being done. No communication from Home Love and we constantly had to reach out and ask for updates. Demolition was scheduled, but after the work was completed, the project sat for weeks with no additional progress. The contract stated they would contact 811 before digging. That was not done, and during excavation an irrigation line was damaged. The first part of the project was a drainage line which subsequently had to be redone 2 weeks later because it wasn't done correctly. We had to push for them to call 811 dig multiple times before that. Our pool safety fence was installed poorly. Multiple holes drilled in wrong places. Almost all of the sleeves are broken. We selected a self closing and self latching gate which was of course not ordered. We were provided a cheap gate that did neither of those things. It was only after my wife left a review on google that was corrected. For our Lawn project they ordered the wrong color mulch, didn't order the edging we selected and we were forced to change last minute after having selected materials months prior. Further work was conditioned on approving a change order that we weren't even provided an itemized breakdown for. Multiple plants arrived dead and required replacement. In our opinion, the most frustrating aspect was how adversarial the company became. We paid every single milestone on time or early and they threatened to file a construction lien before the final payment was even due under the contract. We have retained photographs and email correspondence documenting these issues. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Home Love due to repeated communication issues, workmanship concerns, and contract disputes.
