More concerning is the complete lack of response--emails and follow-ups have gone unanswered for months. This isn't a complicated situation. Under fair housing laws, assistance animals are not considered pets, and tenants should not be charged pet-related fees. I've made every effort to handle this properly and professionally, but the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating. At this point, I'm just asking for a response and for the issue to be handled in accordance with the law. Would appreciate someone from Invitation Homes actually reviewing this and responding.

HORRIBLE COMPANY…read more Nobody knows their ass from a hole in the ground here Starting out when I applied for a rental unit, the person I was speaking with told me the wrong numbers for the deposit, the price almost doubled- I was told it was their mistake, and I just chopped it up as a loss, because hey, people make mistakes! No biggie. Upon touring the unit, there were roaches - dead and alive throughout the kitchen - I have the pictures with the timestamps. The house was uncleanly, thick yellow greasy films on all of the blinds, the counters were greasy, the baseboards were grimy, sticky floors, dust all over, yellow liquid dripping down the guest bathroom walls?? just gross. Again, I tried to look past it, given there was still time before my move in, I thought surely before renting out the property that the home would treated and given a pre-move in cleaning. I was wrong. Fast forward, calling the company and getting in touch with someone is easy- having them solve your problems is not. Constantly being told that there's nothing they can do about anything and that they'll "escalate it to management," you will NEVER hear from management. My lease recently ended, in order to renew I needed to show proof of renters insurance again, I sent the declaration to one person, another emailed back, I sent further documents again four more times, nobody sent me my lease renewal, now I've been arguing with some imbecile via email all week because they're trying to charge me about $2000 for this month's rent because they have me down as a "month-to-month" tenant. $2000 for a house that wouldn't be worth $1300 anywhere else. Disgusting. And on top of that- this doesn't affect me personally per say, but to show how messy this company is- someone from Darwin emailed me somehow trying to respond to another tenant elsewhere, with their full email thread. I now have this person's full name, address, door lock code, and where the keys are placed in the house! MESSY. God forbid I was a bad person or a criminal. This company is terrible and not worth the hassle. Save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere!

These people get property owners to sign over their real estate for "management" then fill their…read moreempty houses with squatters. We have two of these schemes in our community -- at least. The squatters walk up and down the street, asking for money, small appliances, food, alcohol, and rides to the nearby convenience store from which they buy daily stuff and fill plastic bags they can carry back to the nice house they are staying in. Then they go back to the house and bathe in the swimming pool. Either the owners are complicit in this scheme, or Hoffman is collecting taxpayer or other money to house these people. They are unsupervised and are the same people begging from you at stop lights...but they live amongst us. Multiple calls to the company have gone unanswered for 6 (SIX!!!) months. Buyer beware.
