They were incredibly thorough and transparent from the beginning. They inspected the entire car, provided photos and test results, and clearly explained what they found. They also took the time to distinguish between things that were urgent, things that should be dealt with soon, and things that were worn but could safely wait. At no point did I feel pressured into unnecessary repairs. They discovered several issues with my car that I hadn't previously been made aware of, including some that actually need urgent attention. They also properly diagnosed my A/C compressor as seized and that I had a leak. Every question I had was answered patiently and respectfully, and I finally felt like I actually understood what was happening with my car. The customer service was also above and beyond anything I expected. They actually drove me home while they worked on my car and then came back and picked me up when it was ready. That was incredibly helpful and genuinely meant a lot to me. Finding a mechanic you feel like you can trust is such a relief, especially when you don't know much about cars. I never felt talked down to for asking questions, and I really appreciated how honest they were about what actually needed to be done versus what could wait. They were kind, helpful, thorough and incredibly accommodating. After this experience, I finally feel like I have a clear picture of what my car actually needs and can make informed decisions about the repairs. I can't recommend them enough. DO NOT PATRONIZE!!! My car problems BEGAN after visiting Dewdney Auto. Recently brought a used…read more(but running perfect) car in here for a safety check. They say everything is fine. Immediately as I'm driving away, it begins to shake violently when idling at red lights, even dying. I bring it back the next day and they say the spark plugs that "looked" fine yesterday are now shot and now FOUR need to be replaced. Funny coincidence eh? Why were my spark plugs working one day, then immediately after leaving Dewdney Auto, four of them are faulty, and need to be replaced immediately, or else my car would die? They then CHARGED ME $250 BUCKS TO CHANGE MY SPARK PLUGS. Also CHARGED ME $170 FOR A ~$40 Engine Torque Strut. Why was I charged $170.13 for a part that costs ~$40 No amount of shipping could account for that mark up. CONSUMER BEWARE!!

Brought in my car for a brake job. Mechanic called me twice looking for the lug nut key, which I…read morehad told the owner when I brought it in that I had just checked and the 2 lug nut keys and the wrench were in the glove box. When I picked up the car, the back compartment contents were all over the rear floor, one lug nut key and the wrench were missing. I called the owner to make it right, he continued saying it wasn't them, after 15 minutes of answering all his questions on how it looked, he finally agreed to help. I brought it over to his shop and when I went in he again started up that it wasn't them, I did not feel he would help so I left. I emailed him to see if they had the wrench and other lug nut key, no reply. I called him to follow up he argued with me again it wasn't them, I asked if this could be resolved as I'd like my car back to how it was before I brought it in, he said its been too long since the repair and hung up on me. I have had to purchase the wrench they lost. I would not recommend this repair shop.

not a great place to take your diesel. I brought it in and…read morehe worked on the front end, my picked it up drove it a couple of miles and and the power steering went so I took it back in. He worked on the power steering my grandson, picked it up and placed it in his yard. I picked up the vehicle a few weeks later my truck and the power steering cap was off completely so they didn't put that cap back on. I lost all the power power steering fluid. Which cost me another $70 after I got to Williams Lake from Maple Ridge BC. They had rotated the tires on the vehicle, but did not tell me I had Shawty brakes. I actually picked up the vehicle in Maple Ridge a week or two ago and was just coming down the hill and my brakes went completely and I called up to tell him because he was on vacation until yesterday and he tried to tell me that he did tell me that the brakes were going after they rotated my tires, but he did not say that to me at all. He said to me that I was going to have it towed from Maple Ridge to Williams Lake. I ask you would you spend 3000+ dollars to have a vehicle towed that is running or would you just fix the brakes for $400? Not a reliable shop they leave your vehicle worse than you brought it in and then they lied to you I was charged $2000 for the job he did and he's just caused me my brakes the calliper and the rotors all because I wasn't told what was going on Needless to say I wouldn't use them. I don't recommend them and he's cost me another thousand dollars. Worst place I ever took my vehicle And to be lied to they just basically ripped $2000 out of my pocket hit me for another thousand with another shop and don't give a shit Go anywhere but this And just so you know, I was talking to Dave, who said that my vehicle was picked up with a tow truck and it wasn't and I was talking to Phil, the owner, who said that he told me personally I had no brakes. Thing is as I was standing in front of them with my father and I called my father and I said did I miss that he said that I had no brakes and he said no Angel you didn't miss it. He didn't say that. The vehicle was going from Maple Ridge to Williams Lake and then from Williams Lake to Ontario. Why the hell wouldn't we get brakes if it be careful you take your vehicle. With leaving town tomorrow and no one able to even look at it for 3 weeks, we called Torks and they were able to do an emergency service on it and finish same day. They were great, positive and the price was good considering what could have gone wrong. Thank you so much!
