I was pregnant, and as it was a risky pregnancy, I asked to freeze my membership. The staff member on the phone was very helpful and informed me that they would call me BEFORE I would be charged, close to the end of the period of freeze. They didn't call me and I WAS CHARGED even though I was unable to practice any physical activity. I didn't receive any refund, even I saying that I could send them the doctor's note. 2. Then, with a newborn at home, I requested the freeze again in a different period, and 2 days later, I WAS CHARGED. This is unacceptable. It is no the customer problem how is the financial dynamic of the company. We didn't receive the refund! Finally, we requested to cancel the membership and also because we moved to Calgary. The staff member said that they need 30 days notice - what wasn't informed to us when we signed up. We said that we wanted to cancel right away and we also requested our refund for what we were charged on the 2nd time. The lady said that she would cancel it but the refund could not be made. At the end of the day, we basically paid the 30 days notice with the money that we should receive as a refund (for the 2nd inappropriate charge). We feel extremely harmed by this company, we feel that we were charged inappropriately. This is a company that cannot be trusted and that does not treat its customers honestly. If you want to avoid headaches, avoid GoodLife Fitness.

He helped me set up and gave me some cold water when I forgot mine during a hot yoga session. It was a deep relaxation session so just tranquility and minimal chimes. Parking is street parking and would be hard to find during the day but other than that, great studio from what I can see.

If you want a place for a mindful and connected yoga practice, this is not it. It is more yoga-inspired than actual yoga. They blare music, even during their "relaxation class" and care more about speed etc. then breath and mindfulness. Occasionally I modify their movements for my own needs (I see no need for lifting weights etc. in my yoga practice) and have been chastised for this. During a recent practice the instructor openly made fun of me in class in front of the others, shaming my movement and fitness, it was really shocking. After this happened a number of times I finally asked her quietly "why does it matter if I modify this pose for my needs?" and she spoke loudly for the rest of the class to hear "I'm not responsible if you hurt yourself". I was at zero risk of hurting myself (I'm a former ballet teacher!) and even if I did follow her movement exactly she still wouldn't be responsible for any injury.... that is why we sign liability waivers! It was a humiliating and uncalled for experience. Sadly, this is the only studio near me now and so I will continue to attend to keep active. But will avoid the above teacher in the future. Bottom line, if you want a great hot yoga practice and have the ability to travel a bit, it is worth your time to go to your nearest Moksha/Modo studio.

Most people tend to keep to themselves with their headphones in, but the occasional eye contact is usually met with a smile and a head nod. The size of the gym isn't the biggest, but they make great use of it. Parking is easy and the location is nice (right off the highway) and clean. Staff are always smiling and happy to help. The gym manager, Amanda, was very thorough when going over the contract, so there should be no surprises with what you're signing up for. Would highly recommend this gym to everyone

I got there, Julie was not there and the manager informed me the free trial was not available and proceeded to try and sell me a package without even learning my name. Stay away, terrible customer service, dishonest staff and sub-par facilities for $50 a month. Also, no music, few cardio options and the weight space was crowded. no water fountains either??

Truly a hidden gem, this gym is tucked inside a residential complex in the Lougheed area…read more Definitely a no-frills kind of gym, the equipment and decor isn't the newest and the bathrooms are kind of cramped, but they have mostly everything that you would need in a gym and they are undergoing renovations. My favourite aspects of this gym are the 4 squat racks and deadlift area which are still not too common. At my previous gym, I always found myself waiting for the one squat rack. Here, there isn't much of a wait. People seem friendly and put away their weights, there is free parking, membership is on par with chain-gyms, and there's a pool too. Also, the people coming here seem to be on a time-crunch and don't stall or look at their phones as much. They seem to know what they are doing so sharing equipment is much easier. For those used to the nicer-looking chain-gyms, the weights don't go up increments of 2.5lb if you're used to that. People who are not used to only using free-weights and want to use machines may find that F2K doesn't offer enough variety of gym machines, nor are they very new. The TVs are also limited, not sure if that's a pro or con to some people. Overall, this is a good gym. I hope not too many people come here and ovecrowd it. Also, sometimes they blast Adele on the speakers. I think good-taste is important in a gym, don't you?
