Great pistol \ rifle range with a 50 foot MAX distance…read more Only rifles and pistols that shoot HANDGUN calibers allowed 22LR, 9MM etc. (NO high-power rifle cartridges 223, 308 etc) VRPC is a self directed shooting range where member are expected to keep the range safe at all times, and speak up if someone is unsafe. (24 hour recording is used to monitor rule breaking) Even in the short time I've been a member the range has seen constant improvement, lighting, HVAC, etc. Reasonable prices for shooting supplies are bringing in guest. This range uses movable shooting benches, where the first shooter who arrives will choose the distance from the target they want to be at. All other later arriving shooters must shoot at that distance OR wait till the first shooter is done. Since LARGE amounts of air must be circulated from outside, dress as if you are going to an outdoor range. As others have said I often have the range to myself, unless I stumble upon a training class or competition.

This range is not open to the public. You must be a member, or with a member in order to shoot…read more The membership cost is $100 per year, which gives you and your family access to the indoor range 8am-10pm seven days a week. I've been a member for 5 years. Typically when I go to shoot, the club is either empty or there may be one other person. Great juniors program if you have a youngster that is interested in safe handling and use of firearms. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the range is not heated very well and gets wicked cold in the winter time.

First time shooting here with my grandsons. We checked in and had to watch a 15 minute safety…read moreorientation video. After completing the safety video we paid our fee and the entered the rifle side of the range. A quick explanation of setting up the target with a choice of distances from 25 yds out to 300 yards. The range officers were very helpful and professional. They helped with sight adjustment on a new scope. The range was clean and safety was always a concern from the RSO's. The grandsons had a great time and learned more about firearm safety and safe shooting practices. Will return again with some handguns to try out the pistol side of the facility.

Saw they forgot to turn yellow flashing light when going hot while complaining on me that I put two very small targets side by side. They should be ashamed of their own unsafe behavior. Btw I do think it"s only one rangemaster who is behaving like that. Before facing dishonest behavior from his side myself I did visited them multiple times and it's only one rangemaster who behave like a real a**hole. He's really doing good job noticing unsafe behavior but he is a real jerk and annoys people too. Whoever needs to find out the rude rangemaster just need to look at 01/04/26 date and review footage. Good thing you do have cameras there and figure out who's in charge and why he is jerk.

Took the Oregon/Utah/Arizona class 1/20/19. I had an Oregon CHL many, many years ago and the…read morematerial for the legalities hasn't changed all that much, but I still learned a few things that I had either forgotten, or may have changed since I last held a valid CHL. Now I'm ready to send in all of my paperwork to get those balls rolling. If you have need of a CHL, or even desire one I would highly recommend taking your class with these folks. Some of the material may not be all that exciting to read/hear about, but they do make sure people understand the material and of course add just a little bit of levity to break up the monotony of some of the drier aspects of the information. Steve also made sure to stress the important facts, especially when it comes to firearm safety. You can never be too cautious when working with a firearm and I applaud their efforts to teach people important information. If you do decide to take one of their classes, make sure if you don't completely understand the immediate topic to ask your questions. Steve made sure to take the time to go over any questions that were asked so that the person asking the question felt they had a sufficient understanding before he moved on to the next piece of information.
