***Posting this review for my husband*** My diesel box truck…read morestalled on the road a few blocks past the Canadian border, so IK Truck Repair came up in my search as the closest shop - and they had the option of making a service call to the site, so I was saving on having to get the truck towed (or so I thought at the time)... Long story short, the tech arrived, spent some 20 minutes pumping air out of the fuel lines. Then he said that a new filter was needed and left. When he came back, he still didn't have the filter. He spent a little bit longer trying to get the truck started, maybe another 20 minutes, then gave up and asked me to pay for his services. At the time, I paid what he asked without thinking: I was distressed, the truck still needed to be towed elsewhere and repaired... When the next day or so I emailed IK Truck Repair for an itemized invoice, what they sent me had $110 for the service call, and $240 (2 hrs. billed at $120) for pumping the air out of lines. $350 total for spending less than 40 minutes actually working on the truck and leaving me exactly where I was before the provided the service... I emailed them - twice! - asking to adjust the charge to 1 hr service call plus 1-hour labor (rounded up from the actual 40 minutes in their favor). Both emails were flat ignored... Good news: I had the truck repaired at Zender's Truck & Equipment in Bellingham for $240 - a considerable saving vs $350 for no results and an inflated labor charge provided by IK Truck Repair! Just wishing now I called Zender's right away and applied the wasted $350 towards the towing... Giving them 2 stars since they actually came out and attempted the repair. Just to be fair to them - the courtesy they didn't extend to me :(

I had a pre purchase inspection done here. The mechanic was very willing and competent…read more Even tried test drive two times as part of underside noise investigation. It took 1-1/2 hours and it was one of the best auto inspection experience deserving 5 star !
