Upstate MN's Instagram account has been fun to follow - from the evolution of the shop to the chronicles of the natural beauty of the area. I had high expectations before walking in. To sum it up - I was not disappointed. The shop has beautiful items at reasonable prices. Well curated. I tried on overalls from Utility Canvas and almost bought them and now regretting I didn't. The lady working the shop was friendly. It was very busy with weekend visitors. There's only one changing room, which I had to wait to use. It would be nice to have another one. I imagine most weekends here during the summer months are just as busy. I also enjoyed browsing the wide selection of minimalist jewelry. Upstate MN is polished, relevant and sets itself apart from the other kitcshy stores in Grand Marais.
