She recently completed my family photos for Christmas 2016 and I couldn't be happier. We have four kids, one of which has special needs. Julia takes the time to demonstrate patience for all as well as comedic relief with our young boys when their attention wandered. She is great with families and animals alike, which shows in the quality of her work. On one occasion I had the opportunity to sit in her studio and pick photos for a leather bound book creation I was gifting. I saw how much detail she goes in to when editing out a slight flaw on my skin or a back wrinkle that I personally didn't like in a specific photo. This kind of editing takes a lot of time and skill. I appreciate this effort when I receive my photos and my skin looks flawless. The leather bound book was high quality and the pages were laid out well. Occasionally Julia has other professionals shoot large events with her to capture more angles and moments. However, Julia is the only person that edits the final version of the photographs she delivers to you. When you consider how many events she is doing, the families she sees in and out of the studio, and on top of that she is hand editing every photo she provides you, it takes time. Communication is important. Express your expectations up front. If there is something you are unsure of through the process, let her know. She has always been reasonable with us and when we communicate better there are no surprises. With that being said, I will continue to hire Julia to be my family's personal paparazzi. The bug was reasonably priced and the staff was prompt and efficient during the booking process. Got a bit of a scare the day before due to unexpected rain but we used tents to cover it since my wedding was outdoors and all went as planned. The attendant arrived on time, was fun to work with, and a trooper in the rain. Temple created a beautiful custom photo strip to coordinate with our wedding invitations which was a great touch. At the end of the evening, the attendant provided a guest book with all of our photo strips that was filled with messages from our guests. This was a complete and awesome surprise that I wasn't expecting, so nothing but rave reviews here!

I tend to cling to peoples vibes, good or bad. And as soon as you walk into her office, you feel good vibes only! Not only did it make us feel at home, but you can see first hand that she puts her all into her clients. We walked in and she had water and other assorted snacks waiting for us. And this was just the consultation! Needless to say, we left the consultation very happy with the product we felt we would get from Rita and Temple Photography. Once we decided to go with Temple Photography for our wedding, we began meeting with Rita to get a game plan for everything up until the "Big Day". First came the Engagement shoot. The wedding day came and went oh so very fast, but we have the most amazing photos to too look back on. Rita did an amazing job. She was professional and efficient the entire day. We got every shot we wanted and more. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful recount of our special day. We felt like every moment was capture. To be honest, I took a risk on Dustin…read more I waited until the very last minute to find a photographer for my son's Red Egg & Ginger Party (100th-day celebration) and was on a tight budget after splurging on an expensive venue with a long guest list. It was also my first time using Thumbtack. I scrolled through some of the more "popular" and higher-priced photographers, who also had a ton of reviews, but did not feel that their style was what I was looking for. When Dustin contacted me, I wasn't sure in the beginning due to his sparse reviews; however, upon visiting his website and IG, I was impressed with his portfolio and the depth shown in all of his photos. However, most of the pictures were of outdoor weddings and my party was mostly an indoor event. But it was just days before my event, and his price was within my budget, so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. On the day of the event, Dustin arrived even earlier than I did to the restaurant. Upon seeing him, he was already looking around, scoping out the venue, checking the lighting, and taking test shots. I gave him very little instructions to work with - all I wanted were some family portraits and candid shots of the party. From there, he snapped away for 3+ hours, always patient and in the background of a very chaotic Asian party, and I barely noticed he was there the whole time. Fast forward 9 days (5 business days), I received the thumb drive that I provided Dustin for the photos. He ended up producing and edited almost 400 photos, double what I had expected. As my husband and I scrolled through the pictures, it reconfirmed that we totally made the right choice going with him - he brought all of the care and detail and atmospheric elements of his romantic outdoor weddings to a loud, disorganized brunch party and made everything look timeless, precious and heartwarming. Not only that, he provided color AND black & white versions in both high AND low resolutions. That meant I got 4 copies of each shot to play around with! It was a beautiful setting and Dustin did a great job of using the backdrop but not having it be everything. He captured the people in a perfect way. The angles and the layouts were great. The color composition was perfect. On top of all the normal photo stuff he just came across as a super down to earth guy who loves what he does. When he first got to the venue he handed me two bottles of champagne as a "congrats". He was super sneaky - he caught shots of things when I had no clue he was even close to me at the time. He was super laid back about the whole setting and was really into enjoying the space and the outdoors. I would definitely reach out to him if you're doing anything outside. Overall, we're super happy we chose him. Really nice guy and the perfect attitude for our wedding.
