I am pregnant and have chronic migraine, so my mom wanted to do something nice for me and purchased…read morea massage for me as a gift. We looked at a bunch of local spots and were drawn towards Heavenly Healing Hands because the reviews for prenatal massage were so promising. I also prefer to support local businesses over chains like Massage Envy or something like that. My mom paid for the massage and was instructed to have me text Donna to schedule my appointment, so I did. And this is when it started to get weird. I have the texts saved from this, I'm not trying to sabotage anyone's business, but I wish I would've known this before selecting this place and my mom lost her money. 1) A day before the appointment, I got a text that she had a family situation come up and had to reschedule. So, we did. 2) Then, the week we rescheduled for, I got strep throat (I work at a school, it was going around). I immediately went on antibiotics and texted Donna to reschedule for the following week. However, she asked me to wait at least 3 weeks to schedule because she claimed that antibiotics "don't always work" (?). So, whatever, I rescheduled a second time. 3) Then, when that appointment was approaching, she texted me to reschedule again because she "stepped on a nail and injured her foot" (she gave a very detailed description of how and why it hurt). I rescheduled... again. 4) Then, when the next appointment was approaching (this is now months after my initial appointment was supposed to be), she texted that she injured her hand and that we'd need to reschedule but that I'd "get priority." At this point, I just kindly asked that we get a refund and cancel my appointment. She didn't respond. I proceeded to text over the next few weeks every few days asking if she received my message and when we would get a refund. Unfortunately, she continued to not respond. I'm now thinking this is a scam, and not a real business... I'm super disappointed and feel awful that my mom paid for nothing. Am I the only one this happened to? None of the other reviews seem to mention an issue like this.

I was scammed out of my deposit. I booked massage classes and after cancelling on me twice she went…read moreMIA

Most massage therapist are ok and leave a spa feeling relaxed but missing that real therapeutic feeling. Not with Devin! From 1st touch he was spot on. Really working the muscles, not just rubbing. I highly recommend him. I did 60 mins but will def do 90 when I'm back in town next time. BTW - therapeutic massage takes a certain certification and is not a "relaxing massage" as spa advertise. For ex., deep tissue is therapeutic. I happened to do one step less intense than deep tissue, I did firm to deep. It did not hurt at all. They helped me understand the difference too. We added a sore muscle treatment that included hot towels and a menthol gel that really helped my achy neck and shoulder muscles.

I ended up paying for an extra month on autopay because I kept getting different information on when I needed to cancel it. So I got robbed there, but I figured I would use up the credits. Then I tried to use up what I was told were my last credits, and after the last session, I was told I had no more credits, that the person who told me I had enough credits wasn't there any more, and I had to pay for the session! I wouldn't even have gone if I knew I had to pay for it. Double robbery. Why couldn't I just be told consistent information in the first place when I was ready to cancel my membership? I'm giving two stars because all the therapists were good and I enjoyed the services I received.
