Besides showing 2 of the same shots in different places in the video, 2 very important events were missing! A special tribute by my niece was her beautifully singing "I have nothing" by Whitney Houston and not one note was included in the final video. I was so disappointed! But worse!: my son made a wonderfully funny and loving toast. He had the guests and everyone there in stitches and smiles. What was recorded? Nothing! Ingrid frantically went around the room asking if anyone had recorded it. Another niece had so she sent it to Ingrid to be included in the video but it wasn't included. I was so disappointed in the final product. I called Ingrid and asked that, if redoing the video would be too much work, maybe she could just send me a copy of my niece singing and my son's toast. She hung up on me!! I emailed her months later indicating that I was very troubled by this but have never heard back. Here it is, a year later, and I still lose sleep over the disappointment of not being able to enjoy a good video of a very special event.

We first learned about Artstar Photography when reading reviews online, and I was impressed with Laura's perfect-score reviews. More importantly, I absolutely loved her style of photography, mixing artful candid shots with more traditional photographs, and her unique talent for capturing the emotion of her brides, grooms and parents, and the relationships between them. I spent several weeks searching for the right photographer, and found no one with photography more beautiful than Laura's. We were thrilled to find that she was available for our wedding! Knowing that we would spend a fair amount of time with the photographer on our wedding day, it was also important to me to find someone who would make the experience enjoyable to all those involved. Laura is kind, approachable, professional and a true joy to be around. She took the time to get to know me over the phone (as I live out of state). She was very receptive to my phone calls and emails, and extremely helpful in offering her suggestions to my questions about the photography, as well as other details about the wedding. On the big day, Laura and her assistant arrived early to catch the first moments of us getting ready. Patient and gracious, Laura took our last-minute rushing around in stride and managed to capture beautiful moments of that time. She took incredible candid shots during the ceremony, and afterward, quickly took the family portrait shots our parents were hoping to have. Laura effortlessly worked with all members of the wedding party, from the teary toddler flower girl, to the goofing-off groomsmen, to the parents of the bride and groom, taking amazing photographs of every step of the day. Although Laura took nearly a thousand photos that day (literally!), I was pleasantly surprised to find that very little of our time was spent posing for pictures. As a result, we were able to enjoy our guests and the reception. At sunset, Laura snuck away with me and the groom to take some shots against the sinking sun. This was a wonderful time for me and the groom to take a special moment to ourselves, and the pictures were among the most beautiful of the day. Laura stayed until the last song was played and we left the reception through a tunnel of guests and sparklers. She and her assistant worked tirelessly to capture every moment, while blending into the background and allowing us to fully enjoy each special moment of the day. The pictures she took were absolutely beautiful; her work was truly above my highest expectations. After the wedding, Laura stayed in close contact with me to make sure we were happy with all of the shots and the incredible slideshow she created for us. We've gotten so many compliments on the wedding photos, and many have commented that Laura's artful pictures moved them to tears. Laura truly a master at her craft; her work is beyond compare. If you are looking for a photographer who will capture the essence, emotion and beauty of your day, Laura is simply the best you could hope to find. He promptly answered questions about this company and process, and was very accommodating to all of our requests. The day of our event (a Kick-off/Launch Event for our new Women's Ministry program at our church), he and his team member arrived on time, set-up and  did a great job with the people who got their picture taken, or did the 360 video. Tom Smarch and his wonderful assistant Polly were the photographers for our wedding last May. I was…read morea very low-key bride and I don't like having my picture taken, so I was apprehensive about being photographed on top of being the center of attention at the wedding. Tom put me at ease from our first phone conversation and made the whole process simple and stress-free. We took pictures before the ceremony and Tom got great shots of our family and wedding party. Everyone was relaxed and smiling, and the pictures turned out beautifully with everyone looking their best. Tom and Polly were so friendly and easy to work with, and I found (to my complete surprise) that the photography session helped take the edge off my nerves before the ceremony. They were unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception, but they got great shots throughout the night. They captured sweet and funny moments that I didn't get to see at the time, since I was too busy visiting. I really can't recommend Tom Smarch Photography enough. The pictures really captured the feeling of the day, and we are thrilled to have such beautiful photographs to help us remember our wedding.
