There's valet parking in the front for the nice cars, indoor seating and outdoor patio seating where you can watch the grille master at work. I sat down and started with some Bucchanan's whiskey with mineral water, moved onto Carajillos (whiskey and espresso), then finished with some tequilla of course. The waiter does not measure how much he is pouring. Si esta bien. He just eye balls it and I am a happy customer. Food is great also. I've only ordered cochinitas and aquachille de Camaron (shrimp cerviche) but still very delicious. Cochinitas are pretty simple to eat obviously because it is like tacos. Some salsa and lemon will do the trick. Aquachille de Camaron takes little bit of work. Grab a tortilla, get a scoop of the shrimp, onions, peppers and avocado, squeeze some lemon and just go for it. It's fresh and has a kick. Their favorite item from what I saw other people order were Mojarra Entera (grilled fish) and Pulpo ala Parrilla (grilled octopus). I should've tried it but ran out of time. We were there for 4 hours just drinking and eating. Time flies when you are having a good time. I shall return.

P.S. make sure you have pesos as they don't take credit card! Right when we walked in, Mario was super welcoming and accommodating. We wanted to get a whole fried fish and were told that they usually have sea bass or red snapper but the sea bass was reserved for later. We got the sea bass and then an octopus tostada to share as an app. The octopus tostada came out quickly and was a delicious and fresh way to start the meal. We waited about 20 min for the fish to come and it was definitely worth the wait. The red snapper was plenty for us to share and the meat was perfectly tender with crispy skin and a ton of fried garlic. It was served with coconut rice (slightly sweet) and salad which rounded out the meal. The best part of our experience just definitely how kind Mario was. My boyfriend wanted orange juice but we heard they didn't have it but halfway through the meal, Mario bought orange juice to the store and gave us a complimentary glass. As we were walking out, we saw a couple of people drinking a green juice and asked what it was and Mario gave us a glass to taste. It was cucumber water and so so good. Definitely recommend you try it if you come!

El Manantial was an interesting stop during our visit to San Miguel de Allende. As one of the…read moretown's oldest restaurant-bars--dating back to the 1920s--we were curious to give it a try. The menu features a variety of atypical seafood tacos and tostadas, including octopus and smoked fish, which immediately caught my attention. I ended up ordering the Pescado al Pastor taco, which turned out to be a great choice. The chopped fish was marinated in al pastor seasoning and topped with pineapple, onion, and cilantro, with a lime wedge on the side. The combination of flavors was vibrant and very tasty. We also tried the octopus, which was excellent. I'm a bit of a sucker for octopus when it's prepared well, and this one definitely delivered. The ceviche blanco tostada was another highlight--a generous pile of diced fish with tomato, onion, and lime juice that tasted incredibly fresh and bright. The hibiscus margaritas were delicious and refreshing, and I would highly recommend them--especially if you're planning to walk to the restaurant. The restaurant sits up a fairly steep climb from the Parque Benito Juárez area, so it can be a bit of a trek. Fortunately, we were dropped off and picked up by our driver. As for service, we had no issues at all. Our server was attentive and pleasant, though I do recognize that some other reviewers have mentioned inconsistent service. Our experience was positive, but it may vary depending on the day.
