I have been with Dr. Carrezzone since I was about 15 and I'm 47 now so that will tell you something! Yes in the past some of the staff was good awful I can't even lie but the staff there now (other than one guy who was nice but just not too good at his job and seemed confused) is really good. They have been kind and patient and accommodating. I am currently having some health issues and they showed compassion and wet amazing at filling out my disability paperwork and getting it in to the insurance agent in under 24 hours. Just like any doctors office you should always know what type of insurance coverage you have going in it's really not up to them you have to be your own health advocate and know what your insurance covers and what it does not cover. This group is wonderful. The office staff is friendly, open and available through the weekend, and are prompt in answering their online portal and messages left about medication. My father sees Dr. Salerno and she is an amazing doctor. She has been patient, compassionate, and consistent over the years. Her and Dr. Carrazzone also round at local hospitals and are very thorough and pleasant. You can't go wrong with either of them because they truly care. I love seeing Dr. Julie Becker P.A. and this facility. She is one of a kind doctor. She truly takes the time needed to care for me and my family at all levels despite of how busy the office is. My family truly enjoys how professional she is and how kind and humble she is a doctor and human being. Generally speaking, I appreciate my Doctor, namely Dr Peter Carrazzone, and his care as well as my long history there are the only reasons I continue to go here for many of my primary care medical needs. However, the front desk can be very short and dismissive, even disrespectful. I had unfortunately wrongfully been referred to a Dr. in office who was the wrong specialist, who was unhelpful with a very serious problem at the time, who I was told would be covered by my insurance (maybe because of how she bills), but wound up amounting in far more $$$ than expected. In addition to billing office, I was closely working with Mike from front desk who is no longer there; it was as if ownership of the problem went out the door along with Mike. A few months ago I again alerted Vanguard that my credit score is wrongfully being very negatively impacted, I was assured they'd help resolve but no follow-up and by now I am having difficulty refinancing my home consequently. This is HUGE loss for me in many ways but no one seems to actually care an iota. Why would they report me to credit bureau knowing the issue?? I've been a client for ~15 years with no prior payment issues such as this, many in my family are also patients, as we considered Carrazzone a family Dr. Still no there has been no due diligence or consideration. At this time I am also unable to obtain medical care from Vanguard until this I'd resolved so my health is suffering as well as my finances and ultimately my sanity. read more

Christina is the best. Always there for me and my family with anything we need, and has great bedside manner. Front desk staff is fun and helpful. I think some people here are taking out their own bad day on these medical professionals, because I've never had anything but positive experiences! They are usually able to fit me in even when I don't have an appointment, and in the past have always been courteous and kind. read more

I have been with Vanguard since they had one location in Verona. They provide EXCELLENT patient care and take extreme interest in the health and well-being of their patients. The front desk girls are usually very friendly although I've had a few issues (over the span of 10 years).However, they were resolved very quickly; this is how serious the staff/doctors take the way patients are treated. Here is a testament to that statement: I was between jobs, no insurance (who can afford Cobra??!!). Vanguard has a monthly plan for a VERY small fee that covers as many doctor visits that you need! WHO does that??? I am so thankful for this group and have referred MANY others who are just as happy. Good luck in your search...and Vanguard, keep up the GREAT JOB. read more

Just called to switch my provider to this company. And the woman kept talking to other people mid conversation about how she needs to move her car. Then she comes back on the line as if nothing happened. And I told her how I'm not sure what's going on, I just need a provider who accepts my insurance etc etc and again she starts talking to ALOUD to other people again. Hung up and I called back to speak to a supervisor, of course no one will give her name. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. read more

Let me first start of by saying that the Dr is very thorough and is willing to answer all your questions (even if it is outside of your insurance coverage) *patient beware* . If you are going with this office, my advise will be to be aware of your coverage and make sure you let the office know to process through your insurance accordingly to avoid receiving a surprise bill... And it is VERY HARD to get someone over the phone. They pick up the phone only to put you on hold for forever. read more

I almost hate to give this place such a poor review because some of the staff is very kind. But god help you if you need to ask a doctor a question. The receptionist will try for 5-10 minutes to discourage you. "We don't do that here, the doctor is just going to tell you to come in anyway, etc". Guess what. They have not been right once. And if you do manage to get past the guard receptionist and leave a message for a doctor, don't expect a call back. They've only called me back once out of dozens of times I have had to leave messages. I always have to call them again to get a response. Recently I left a message that my pain for an ongoing medical condition was increasing drastically, and I was in agony. Did they bother to call me back? No. So I'm done with this place. They clearly don't care about their patients. One time they called my cell but didn't leave a message. Strange. So I called them back. The first time, someone picked up the phone and immediately slammed it down in my ear. What the heck! So I called back. Someone answered this time by saying "please hold" before I could even say anything. I sat there on hold for 13 minutes. I finally hung up and called a third time. Someone answered right away. I told them what happened and they acted clueless. Clearly someone forgot I was on hold. This sort of thing happens constantly with this office. I don't understand how they could be so uncaring about patients. They make you feel like you're bothering them. Oh and they turn their phones off at 7:30 even though they claim to be open until 8.
