    New Image Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center is the new Nova Cosmetic Center. They have changed…read morenames and location, now residing in the Sandlake Commons area right next to Dr. Phillips hospital. I have been going to Nova, now New Image, for a few years to see my girl, Beth. She is a master with a syringe. All these years, I've been getting botox in my forehead and occasionally around the eyes and her technique is one of the best I've experienced. (I've tried other locations in Orlando and NYC, and Beth is one of the best.) Looking at time "marching all over my face", I thought it was time to try a filler for my smile lines. So, today, 7/11/17, was the day to try it out. I went into the office thinking I wanted Juvederm but was told the Juvederm Voluma would work better for what I wanted to accomplish. Since I know Beth's work, I knew she wouldn't steer me wrong ... and she didn't. I was surprised at the difference a few injections within a few minutes could make. It exceeded my expectations and I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror. Who's that young lady in the reflection? Its me! Its meeeeeeeee! The front desk staff are also wonderful and very friendly. So, here's a shout out to Jonathan and Joy who make you feel welcome on the phone and as soon as you walk in the office! I think some people can be intimidated or embarrassed by cosmetic procedures but they make you feel right at home and put folks at ease. Goodness knows, you are there to improve yourself and it can be a fun experience ... ain't no shame staying in da game!

    I've never had such financially frustrating experience with a clinic in my life. I had a great…read moreconsultation with Dr Higgins, but his accounting department staff has made had this all a terrible experience. Within minutes of my consultation they pushed me to make a $500 deposit, when I wasn't ready, but they industries that I couldn't schedule the surgery at a future time if I didn't pay the money right. Fishy, but I really liked Higgins so I decided to send it over. Next they advised me to get financing secured, so I applied to see what I was able to finance. Not only was I told that I was getting a 0% interest rate for 60 months through Alpheon, I was also repeatedly assured that NOTHING WAS BEING CHARGED to me yet and it wouldn't be charged until 2 weeks prior to the surgery. However approximately 2 weeks later I received a statement from Alpheon. It turns out that Magical Plastic Surgery immediately charged me for the full amount of the loan, without informing me, at 16% interest, on a $12,100 loan. That's a $388 payment! I was shocked, my heart dropped. I thought maybe it was a misunderstanding, so I called the clinic. Apparently the person I needed to talk to was Mary in accounting. So I was given a number to text and call her at. I left a voicemail and a text, early in the day with no response. The next day I talk to the clinic scheduler and was told they would for sure get back to me that day. Still no call and meanwhile I'm panicking about this incredibly large loan with a huge interest rate, checking my credit and seeing it drop over 20 points. Each day I was told I would get a call back from accounting and over a week went by until I finally did. Mary made the phone call and was anything but apologetic or kind. She was very matter of fact and told me I should have understood that they were going to charge me right away and claim she'd never said it would be 2 weeks before the surgery, even though the agreement I'd signed clearly said that no charges would be made until 14 days prior. Regardless I just wanted it reversed. She sent me over a cancellation form that we both signed. She said it could take up to 30 days, but it should be a lot sooner. Fast forward 2+weeks & I call Alpheon. They show no refund pending and said that once a refund is initiated, it takes between 24 and 48 hours. I call Mary again and she says that she sent the refund through, but can't give me any proof. She then tells me that she will NOT GIVE ME THE REFUND unless I take THIS REVIEW down, when I tell her that's not going to happen, she hangs up on me. Not only will I not be getting a surgery through this clinic, obviously, I am now making payments on interest I never agreed to and I lost a minimum of my $500. I'm told I may not even get the full $12,100 back at this point because the clinic is taking so long. This has been the most ridiculous, unprofessional experience and after reading the other reviews especially on Yelp, I can't believe I wanted to use this clinic to begin with. While Higgins may get good reviews, the office staff will ruin the entire experience. Hopefully one day they will reevaluate who is on their staff and do better, especially their accounting manager Mary, Mirelys, who is just as rude as she is terrible about responding. Additional they claim that a Dr. Deirdre Marshall works for them, guessing it's because she is a board certified Plastic Surgeon, while doctor Higgins is only certified in general surgery and vascular surgery, not plastic surgery. I contacted Dr Marshall and she has never worked for the clinic and has asked to be removed from their website, which they clearly continue to ignore. The red flags just continue to add up. Proceed with caution and look at their low rating on the Better Business Bureau. If the matters resolved I will update my review to reflect this.

    The Good, the Bad and the Ugly…read more The good and great. I had the pleasure of meeting a nice receptionist, Samira. She walked me through the entire process and was patient with all of my questions from beginning to end. She was GREAT! To foreshadow the negative part of my experience, she was the only thing that saved me from esculating my concerns to a higher level. Her kindness, patience and overall professionalism was the highlight of my experience. This office is so lucky to have her. The good. Dr. Higgins was professional, knowledgable and thourogh with his examination and recommendations. What detracted from my review was that he was running late (as dr's normally do). We waited for a long time in a small room for the doctor. When he arrived and went through my history and saw my body, he changed the type of procedure. I wish this was done the day before because this was just moments before I was taken to the operating room. It would have been nice to know this ahead of the surgery so that I could process his recommendations. Here is the bad and honest review of my procedure. The concern started when I had to walk myself to the operating room behind the nurse. Who does that? The circumstances get worse so keep reading. Just like someone detailed in a previous review I was KICKED out of the clinic 20 minutes after surgery. PLEASE LISTEN AND READ THIS CLEARLY........... 20 MINUTES AFTER SURGERY. I know what you are thinking. the same thing i was thinking when I read the previous ladies review. "NO WAY" yes its 100% true. I was disoriented, shaking uncontrollably with pain and all I could say over and over was NO NO NO I can't do this. My wife was told over and over that it is just the anasteshia. I was strapped in the car, while in the parking lot the nurse said, "just empty the drains. . . he will be okay. . . don't give him pain meds for 3 hours. . . I gave him as much as I can." These were my post-op instructions, in the parking lot with no paperwork or information on what happened in surgery other than he did great. Thankfully, (no thanks to Magical) I was okay in about an hour. I should have been allowed to come out of the anesthesia properly with a nurse. The next part is even worse than being kicked out. The next day at the follow up appointment, I was on Mary's (the clinic manager) target list. Mary walked in past me with a horrible attitude and started barking orders about paying for a binding garment I didn't pay for. Well the day before, I brought all of the garments in a suit case and rolled into the waiting area. Even after asking the employees, the nurse and other people what to do with it or who to give it to, no one took it. Ultimately, they put "their Magical" garment on me and this made me Public Enemy #1 on Mary's target list. We explained the situation to her middle men because she refused to come and tell us herself even after several requests. She told them to take the "Magical garment off" and leave it if I wasn't going to pay. She made made my wife run to the car and get my "oridnary garment". When we came back with the same bag full of the same supplies, Mary said that the "Magical garment" was stained so we still have to pay. I am POSITIVE that Ms. Mary knows that the medical staff write on the garment with a marker, so this was just something to make us jump through hoops. We all know that all the clinics want to sell their garments to make money. This seemed like a backhanded way to get money from people choose to bring their own supplies. So BEWARE! The sad thing is, I would have paid for it, if I was approached in an appropriate way. As much as Samira and Dr. Higgins are assets to Magical, Ms. Mary the Manager is going to be its downfall if something doesn't change. Ms. Mary, the manager is the UGLY. She might possibly be the most unprofessional manager I have ever experienced. She caused a problem when if she had even a small amount of customer care or service, she could have gotten more than the cost of the "Magical garment." Summery: Receptionist Samira AWESOME!!!, Dr. Higgins very good , AFTERCARE AND ADMIN ALL NEED TO GET OTHER JOBS.
