Considering this is a mall kiosk which aren't usually known for their rock bottom pricing, and it's located on the second floor of Aventura Mall, which contains lots of higher end shops and boutique stores, one shouldn't be surprised about the pricing here IMO. This ain't Walmart and if you're used to buying online, you can generally always do better there vs. brick and mortar stores, or in this case, a mall kiosk. For what I was looking for when I came to Cigar Box, this place was fine. I needed a simple cigar cutter for a friend to use at their place of work. It didn't need to be fancy, only functional. They had huge bulky looking cutters in one of the corner displays, and smaller ones in another display. I saw one I thought would be well suited for the person I was buying it for, so I went to the other side of the kiosk and asked one of the 2 attendants to assist me. He told me the one I was looking at was $140. I said.."Um, OK what else do you have, I just need something simple". He motioned for me to follow him around the side where he pulled out a decent looking cutter with 2 moving blades, both appeared to be quality steel but the body was plastic and he said "Five bucks". I chuckled and thanked him. I asked if he had anything else, since the $5 cutter had this business' logo on it. He said "I do, but everything else above this one starts in the $50 range". Again, this was going to be used for someone at work to prepare cigars for the patrons who wished to smoke them, so I didn't need anything fancy and I needed something on this day. I plunked down a five spot, he gave me a receipt and asked if I needed a bag, which I declined. I got what I was looking for, the cutter he sold me isn't all cheap plastic or thin metal - I'd say for what I needed on this day, Cigar Box Aventura was fine.

This is without a doubt like the Costco comparison of taste testing. On some evenings they have some great vendors/suppliers giving out free samples. Have to always make sure I pack a snack just in case there are more than 3 vendors on the floor - which is almost always the case!

For a traditionalist, I tend to shun cigar establishments that offer hookahs and tolerate cigarettes so you can imagine shock that a place like Royal Cigars would reshape it's focus. But, by keeping "Cigars" in their name, I felt the need to address it and rate it as a cigar spot. I understand the economics with the vape, cbd, juul craze and the challenges to stay competitive.
