I only came here because I currently don't have a fridge, was hungry as hell and had restaurant coupons to burn and no more time to look up what better places nearby accept them.
"What excuse do these many other people have?", I thought.
Because the thing is - why would you go to some chain restaurant when there are many non-chain places with better price/quality ratio?
This was my second time at a Vapiano and while I ordered something quite different than the last time, there was still an aspect to the taste that was familiar to what I knew from their location near Oxford Circus in London.
Kind of like McDonalds - in that there is that similar taste no matter which city or country you're in. Except that there isn't a place where you can get burgers for the same price but higher quality on every other corner. Which is different for Italian restaurants.
So when it comes to what I ate today... 11.50€ for a main dish. With a filet that I ordered well-done but actually turned out to be medium. Fortunately, I got over my phase where I was particularly picky when it comes to food, even though I am still certainly able to discern levels of quality. Overall, I can't argue that the quality would be bad. It's alright. But at that price, I probably could've had something better and with actual service at a regular restaurant. read more
