She has gotten us through the rough of this disease and his health is still improving with her care. Something else I would like to add is that she is very accommodating in that my husband can not walk stairs right now and she allows him to come through the garage....Also she never rushed him through his appointment but takes time to listen to him. By far, the best IVF experience that we have had in 5 years. Also, we got 9 out 10 eggs turn into blastocyst. So, someone in the embryology dept. knows what they are doing. Apparently, I was already well over the age limit in which SGF could assist me with an IVF with my own biological eggs, but no one bothered to inform me over the phone about that policy. Instead, I was booked for a consultation on July 12, 2018, and brought in under false pretenses that I may be a candidate for IVF with my own genetic material. The doctor immediately told me that I was too old to use my own eggs, and then proceeded to "sell me" on the benefits of adopting eggs. I politely listened, but explained that I was there to use my own genetic material, he said plainly that I was too old for them to help me do that. Subsequently, I was charged to receive this sales pitch. This is an extremely shady way to do business. I've been to several other IVF facilities, and those offices were up-front about any age policies their facilities abided by or didn't, and what I would expect to discuss in the consultation based upon my age and other factors. In addition - no other facilities charged for their initial consultation. I find it reprehensible that a medical facility would not be up front about policies, and bring a prospective patient in under false pretenses in order to receive a sales pitch and then be billed for it! I'm currently successful at another facility that utilizes mini IVF.

I was told to come back two more days that week for more tests. Nothing seemed unusual but as I was leaving the parking lot, a complete stranger from Sincera called to tell me the office was closing right after my tests were complete, basically in a few days. NOT ONE PERSON in the office mentioned they were closing just after my tests and I'd have to drive MORE THAN AN HOUR for future appointments. I wasn't sure if the call was true as the Sincera rep seemed to be soliciting me to come see him at a different office over an hour away (King of Prussia). I turned my car around to ask the staff and Dr. Cohen, who I knew and had just had an appointment with, if this was true. They confirmed it was. The man who called me was the head doctor for Sincera, Steve Somkuti. Why didn't they tell more they were closing this practice me before my appointments and tests? Tests I will have to pay to have done again elsewhere since every clinic only wants their own tests. Completely deceptive, unprofessional, and unethical. I NEVER would have gone to them if I knew they were closing that office and they had a right to disclose this to me BEFORE testing me and charging me. When I asked for them to refund my co-pays, due to their poor, unethical and deceptive handling of my situation, I had to wait three weeks for them to 'push it up the ladder' only to be told they legally 'couldn't' (more like simply wouldn't) refund me since they rendered services. Services I will need done elsewhere since I won't be driving over an hour for their services and for tests which will now cost me again to run. What a terrible waste of money and time. And they the representative I was working with to see if I could get a refund from told me they were 'sorry I feel a moral obligation' to leave reviews to warn others. Unbelievable. The nurses and most doctors are great and the ultrasound techs and phlebotomy were the best. What is the most annoying part of this clinic is the absolutely worst financial team. They do not pick up their calls and even when you email You have to email them so many times to get one response back. IVF is a huge expense which is what we were doing and there was already so much anxiety . We wanted to speak to a financial person regarding some questions but there's absolutely no way to talk to a financial advisor. They do not pick up their calls at all. They tell you to leave a message and they will get back you but they won't . It takes weeks to get a response. It is very frustrating in an already stressful situation. Me and my husband tried so much to reach a financial advisor but couldn't reach anyone for an entire week. Even when u leave a message and wait 48 hours they don't reach back to you. Money is an issue for most people when doing this type of treatment and having the worst financial personnel who absolutely do not care to talk to you gives you anxiety and completely frustrating.

She was very focused on money despite the fact that I explained I would be self pay if we moved forward with them. The first thing out of her mouth was focused solely on money. She kept repeating oh this would be on OUR timeline once you're financially cleared... since insurance isn't involved or financing - I don't need clearance dear. You're a doctor you should know that. Also THEIR timeline is crazy. You're a medical service provider operating in fertility treatment. It should very much be on the PATIENTS timeline. Not even med spas behave like this. She was also extremely condescending to my husband. -100/10. We met with her once and then moved to a physician at the frederick office. Additionally their nurses do not put their clinical instructions in the patient portal -.- it's ridiculous what kind of medical office doesn't provide the instructions written in a patients portal so they can refer back to them!? It's concerning and unsafe to be quite honest. The pharmacy called them several times to identify an alternative medication for an out of stock medicine they had.... No response from the physician. I had to call to get a response. TESTING- working in a lab testing does not need to wait all day for the nurse to call you. Most analytical blood tests take 90 minutes. Run my test and put my results in my portal IMMEDIATELY. It's ridiculous to make people wait all day. STAFF PROFESSIONALISM- I had a weekend appointment and people were wearing pajamas and house slippers. I'm all for being comfortable at work, but pajamas and slippers is wild it's a medical office. Also when you call this office often the front desk staff sound annoyed that you're calling them on the weekend. You're literally the on call office for the weekend -.- When my husband arrived to the office and asked for directions to the consultation room the staff sent him across the hall where no one was at the desk. He waited for a while then returned to the staff to inform them and they rolled their eyes and were annoyed with him for returning... YOUR STAFF is not where they are supposed to be and no one is answering the call button?! And you're mad at the patient who is on time for their appointment?! FINANCING- all this office cares about is money. I am self paying so I cannot imagine what it's like if you actually have to go through any financial process involving them. What a nightmare. I asked "what would be next steps in an IUI process" no response to the question only you need to pay... I'm asking a consultation question. The bill they sent was a whopping 12 hours old... The nurse could easily have responded professionally with "in addition to these steps please ensure you pay this bill through your link..." Again not even med spas behave like this. The frederick office is much better. Way more professional and the staff are nicer but the Rockville office is absolutely terrible. You're not a patient there, you're seen as a source of revenue simply. They're not there to serve patients or educate them... for goodness sakes they can't even be bothered to get up in the morning and put pants on -.- go ANYWHERE ELSE

I will say that I was worried about being a number at SGFC but that has never felt true. You get assigned a team and they are your advocates and counselors along the way. SGFC's size is their biggest advantage because they learn so much from every woman's ivf cycle - they're often the leaders in new treatments and research. They use the most advanced techologies and their doctors are experts in the field. Dr. Esposito somehow always manages to be both honest and reassuring. She is incredibly knowledgeable and articulate which equates to a doctor who you can communicate with and who helps you understand procedures, options, tests, etc. She always provides the information and then leaves the decisions up to us and answers any questions along the way. My nurse Alyssa is also amazing. She is experienced, responsive and caring. She makes her patients a priority and knows the ropes so she is able to answer questions and concerns. I also have to give a shout out to Megan at the front desk. She keeps that office moving like a well-oiled machine and knows the patients well so we don't even have to check in! She's super friendly and helpful as well. She has been the recipient of some of my panicked phone calls and will quickly get a response for me if the situation needs that! Infertility treatments can turn the most reasonable of women into crazy people at moments and I have definitely had my moments but Dr Esposito and Alyssa are professional, reliable and helpful. I can only imagine what a stressful job it must be so I appreciate all of their guidance and compassion.
