The provider didn't discuss symptoms or what to expect, & the ultrasound tech didn't speak to us besides telling me to undress / lay down. From the very first appointment I felt like just another number. I walked in excited and left confused, emotional, and unprepared. That became the norm at nearly every visit. I got weighed, peed in a cup, answered a few basic questions, & was done. With no family nearby and my husband working full-time, I really needed support--but each visit left me feeling isolated and dismissed. There was no warmth, no guidance, and no real interest in how I was doing. It was heartbreaking. I had an anatomy scan at 20, 22, & 24 weeks, & still the techs could not get everything they needed. This would be more understandable if they had spent more than 10 minutes trying to do a scan. Dr C Barton told me I'd need to drive 5 hours roundtrip to UK to complete the scan because their ultrasound equipment was not "certified" enough and that the techs at UK would be better. At UK, the tech took the time to work with me and got the images easily which seemed to prove that it was possible with the right care. At one point I wanted to bring up abdominal pain, but Dr. C. Barton ended the visit & walked me to checkout before I could even speak. I broke down crying at the referral desk just to get help. It was so embarrassing and frustrating. Towards the end of my pregnancy I found Eleshia Ammerman who was amazing. I was 34 weeks when I had my first appointment with her & she was the FIRST person I saw that seemed genuinely interested in my pregnancy & made me feel human again. I saw her a couple more times & it was the first time I left my appointments feeling confident in what to expect & what was happening. Dr A Barton also genuinely sat down & answered questions I had. At 40w I was having mild contractions & came in to take a NST. I was told that I was indeed not having contractions & to wait to go to the hospital until my contractions were 5-1-1. Once again I cried because I was told the pain I was feeling weren't contractions & that they (word for word) "don't really know" or "might be" contractions. I was so confused, in pain & scared because if the pain I was feeling weren't contractions, what was happening? Turns out they were contractions & I delivered my baby later that day. 6 weeks later at my PP follow up, Dr C Barton asked me if I wanted him to check me & said he didn't think he needed to as long as it isn't painful when I wipe. It felt like a wasted trip, & I went to another clinic to redo my post partum check up. Now a days I was told to stay off Google but I thank God I had Google because I was able to do my own research on pregnancy symptoms & expectations that this clinic & healthcare system failed to provide me with. This clinic prioritized quantity of patients over their patients quality, & it's devastating for vulnerable women. Waiting rooms are full, & the providers and techs seemed so rushed EVERY single visit. Every appointment was a wait time of 30-90 minutes to be seen for 5. I know that there's not a lot of women's clinics in the area but I would have much rather preferred to be told they weren't accepting new patients instead of being drug through such a disheartening experience. If you've made it this far and are unhappy with this clinic, please transfer your care & prioritize your health even if it's just for peace of mind. I chose this clinic because I thought it was smaller & locally owned, but it felt like they were just like any other big clinic rushing people in & out, prioritizing profit over quality of service. Mothers and babies deserve to feel seen, heard, and taken care of with grace, and this clinic failed to provide me with that.

First the reception area is…read morestaffed with three or more ladies at a time but none of them will take in the patients as they form a line. Finally one will check in a patient while the others stare in a different direction or talk to each other. After the one receptionist checks that patient in they don't get the next in line. They go about chatting and ignoring the line and then another one will take a waiting patient. It is disgraceful and they could fire half the staff and get just as much done if they had an active office manager making sure they were doing their jobs. Calling for an appointment is a hit and miss as you get no answer, long wait times or receive an answering machine. Again, an office manager would do wonders for this place. My biggest criticism is the doctor I had. My doctor retired and I switched to Dr. James Bastin and had been seeing him for about a year or a little more. He always seemed pleasant but he never really gave me any kind of exam or even listened to my lungs like any other doctor I've ever seen. I don't know if he had some kind of problem with me personally or if he does that to all his patients. I had been feeling sick and arrived at my appointment early as always. Again I waited in a line while the receptionists talked, played on their phones, etc. until I was able to check-in. When I saw Dr. Bastin the first thing I told him was, "I think this is it." He stared at me and I clarified, "I think I'm going to die." He asked me what was wrong and I told him that I had been getting dizzy, blurred vision, headaches and the right side of my body was getting numb and going completely dead. I told him I would lie down and after lying awhile I would feel more normal and get the use of my right side back. He did examine my arm because I told him that would go dead but he never examined anything else. He didn't suggest any tests or tell me I needed to go to the ER. I was sent to get my blood work as was usual with a visit every six months. I felt lightheaded as I waited for the blood work and even told the nurse as they drew my blood I was feeling bad. She finished drawing blood and told me she hoped I started feeling better. Fifteen minutes I had a stroke and had to be rushed to the hospital. This possibly could have been avoided had there ever been any real exams, real concern from my doctor and any tests run. If you value your health and the health of your loved ones you will not see this doctor.

She stated that there was one nurse for new patients and that it would be at least another hour. Why don't they schedule accordingly? If I sat in those waiting room chairs any longer I would have been unable to walk so I told them I had to leave. I would advise everyone to avoid this uncaring, overbooking office. Pathetic.

My wife (whose name I will not disclose, as Mr. Brown seems as to be someone who looks to seek revenge on those who tell the truth and share with others the lack of care he provides) went in to see about becoming a new patient. Was given a tour and scheduled an appointment. We are an elderly couple, we do not come from money, we never have had much, but we did and do the best we can, and my wife spent hours trying to look her best, because she was going to see the doctor, as they told her he was. They made grand promises of supreme service and delivered below subpar. He looked down on my wife, spoke down to her, and after one visit, she did not want to return, and we will not. This facility has only been operational for two years. The person supposed to take her blood, was told to go ahead and do so in an arm my wife, specifically asked them no to use, as it was her dominate arm. Then come to find out, the young one was not even licensed or credited or what have you to even be drawing her blood. Front desk staff treated her like a burden, and she said made faces at her through her entire visit. When I called and asked to speak to Mr. Brown, I was told I did not have permission or the right to ask to speak to him, even though my wife had given permission on her intake paperwork, for me to be able to speak on her behalf. This man runs this doctor's office as an entitled man who clearly did not like having to follow the rules and oath to serve others, that other facilities and hospitals would require. I would not recommend this David Brown or Unbridled Health to anyone.

Almost every nurse we talked to would not let us finish a sentence and we were trying to tell them details that were important (two nurses at different times interrupted me and literally said the same words "We know" but they didn't know what I was talking about). One little lady, dressed all preppy like had watched a little too much Grey's Anatomy was so sure of herself I don't even think she heard us talking. As I write this, my wife had just rang the nurses button because she was dry heaving and needed some medicine. Someone we had not seen before burst in and rudely said, "What do you need?" I'm not exaggerating. It was like we were bothering her/them. I actually dread going out and asking for anything: help, throw-up bags, medicine. We haven't seen a doctor in 15 hours. I have to say, though, our day nurse was not bad. I liked her. Ultimately, I think the whole world needs to work on customer service -and that little night nurse needs to get over herself.

She called us back without a room available.. She started discussing his medical history for everyone in the waiting room to hear and I had to remind her that was a HIPA violation. The Dr was double booked all day and the office did not call one patient to inform them that a 15 minute office visit would take over 2 hours. Many parents had took off work for scheduled appointments just to be delayed for walk ins. Steer clear of this clinic and Doctor. The Doctor tried to rush us out of the door as soon as she came in so she could just collect the office fee, She is only trying to make money.
