Meatballs and gravad lox were to die for. After that, I'm not sure why anyone eats a berry other than lingonberry. We joked with our server that it can be hard to serve an American a meal they can't finish, but they were clearly up to the task. She smiled and said they were proud to stay true to traditional Swedish food and it was a hot spot for locals. Wine list is not super extensive but what they have on it is carefully selected. The one thing that has not been top class on my past visits is the service. It has been knowledgeable but they have somewhat lost the friendliness that I used to find here. Service is by no means bad or rude so still above the average but not as great as it used to be. While it is cozy it is still not the place for discrete conversations as the tables are close to each other so one can easily hear what others are talking about. To summarize still one of the better French mid-range restaurants in town.

I ordered thier seafood "casserole" which is actually a soup with chunks of fish and mussels in a tasty broth, I enjoyed it although I felt the quantity wasn't enough. The server was very friendly, gave us bread and a craft of water rather promptly. Our only issue was getting our main course, it took almost more than a half hour, I did not want to spend more than an hour here, I had already finished my Zingo by the time the food was brought. I couldn't resist. Someone else paid my meal so can't comment on the price. But like anywhere else in Scandinavia beware when you order alcohol as it is very pricey. The caramelized apples were also great, elevating a familiar pairing in a way that I just had not tasted before. I went back a second time in hopes of closing off my Swedish trip with the same dish, but unfortunately had the meatballs (this is how I found out it's not always on the menu). Nothing spectacular there - pretty standard as I've had elsewhere, but not bad. And certainly nothing like the pork belly.
