Revisiting my review because of my lingering disappointment with these people. After my dog was bloating to massive proportions a liquid filled her abdominal cavity due to the cancer inside of her as diagnosed by this vet, this vet failed at draining her properly as they did the first draining. Then they overcharge me for adding a consulting fee and an examination fee onto these extra visits. The vet tech would ask me questions after the doc called me and had me bring my dog over early because she feared the worst (actually I figured it our afterwards, they had a schedule conflict). They lied. Anyway, in this so-called consulting room, the tech asked what was my dogs issue, why am I here. They knew why I was here because it was a second visit and they told me to come early for the drawing. The tech then asked me what medications is my dog on. I shook my head and told her u know what meds she is on because you prescribed them and its in your computer. That ended the consultation, yet they charge me an addition $120.00 for this duplication of ineptness. After I picked up my dog and over paid the scammers, my dog had not been drained properly and I scheduled an appt with a new vet who took out 3 liters of fluid from her abdomen. The funny thing is, Spring Creek told me that this fluid drawing would have to be done every week or so and my dog had less than 3 months to live. Well, the new vet drained her properly and the fluid NEVER came back. On top of that, I know my dog will eventually die, for she is almost 15 now. But to diagnose her and say she has less than three months to live when that was eight months ago, DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED I PLACED MY TRUST IN THESE PEOPLE. MORE DISAPPOINTMENT THAT I HAVE EVER PLACED MY TRUST IN WITH RESPECT TO A LOVED ONE. DO U UNDERSTAND HOW THAT MEAKES SOMEONE FEEL. IT MAKES THEM FEEL U HAVEN'T A CLUE WHAT U ARE DOING OR IT MAKES THEM FEEL ONE IS BEING SCAMMED. To have me pickup my dog after a drawing and she is still fill of liquid, I knew right away I was being scammed when you said she needed draining every week or so. I also knew I was being scammed when you charge me extra for a consulting fee, asking me questions that you already knew the answer to and urged me to get my dog over to have her drained than the four hours later the was originally scheduled. You have lost my trust and I shall NEVER enter ur building again. I get the corporate bull crap. It's all about the money. I don't trust others with my loved ones when money seems to be the primary objective. I don't trust anyone that failed at drawing my dog of her fluids while another vet did a far better job than u did. And u know what else....u played me again over my dogs ears. Finally a newer vet solved her issues. I get it. EVERYONE NEEDS A BIGGER BOAT. Isn't that sad that is what the human has morphed into. To be clear,,, you will NEVER see one of my dogs walk thru your doors ever again. I DO NOT TRUST YOU. read more

All the doctors and staff were caring and knowledgeable about our dog's medical needs. They explained all issues and options and took as much time as we needed. They also explained potential costs which was appreciated. I fully recommend Spring Creek without hesitation. read more

Spring Creek is under new ownership and it's gone downhill big time when it comes to customer service. The people answering phones are rude and cut you off mid-sentence. I have a rabbit who has been looked after there before. The former rabbit vet and one of the owners has left; there's nothing I can do about that, but there IS something the owners (Mars family) can do to create a better interface with us. Get some training. When I call I don't like to be told I am wasting my time because you don't serve rabbits. Let me get out the full reason I'm calling. And learn some manners! All that being said, the rumors are that the vets in this town will soon cease weekend emergency service because they are so overwhelmed. Surely, with all the money here, something can be done about that. We can't drive to Idaho Falls in the middle of the night. And hire an exotic vet, for goodness sake! The lives of birds, reptiles, rabbits and all other animals that aren't dogs or cats matter, too. If you want a caring response to your phone call for your critter in Jackson, call Animal Care Clinic instead. read more

We were traveling thru Jackson on a road trip from Yellowstone on our way back to California and our dog became Ill. We were able to make an appointment that day to get her seen. The staff was very friendly and compassionate for our situation and got us medication to hopefully help with our dogs illness to be able to get back to California. DVM reached out personally to out to see if we had made it home safely and check in on how our travel had been. The care and compassion of this animal hospital is not lost on our family. In this day and age to find a business that cares this much is truly amazing. The staff and DVM are great. read more

Let me start by saying I have never written a review, for any business, ever! But had to for this place after the wonderful visit we had. We were road tripping it to the Tetons and along the way our dog got attacked on one of our stops. He had to have a drain tube put in for one of the bad wounds. We decided to keep going on our trip and when we got to Jackson we made an appt with spring creek to have the tube removed. We didn't know what to expect, but we were in and out in 5 minutes and they did t even charge us! When it comes to my best friend, it is far more critical that I do my research and even harder for me to find someone I can trust. THE AMAZING TEAM AT SPRING CREEK WERE PHENONOMINAL! I have never had a team so accommodating and welcoming when it comes to my 4 legged friend. Dr. MJ and Dr. Alex made time during a busy holiday to fit me in on a recommendation from my family. I am deeply grateful for Dr. Dan Forman at Spring Creek Animal Hospital, who was my Bernese Mountain Dog Madison's vet for 8 years. Dan possesses an extraordinary combination of veterinary expertise, compassion, insight, and intuition, and Madison benefited tremendously from all under his care. For me, it was invaluable from both an intellectual and emotional standpoint to have a vet whose judgment I trusted so implicitly. Dan stepped up the plate more than ever last week by guiding me through end-of-life care and decision-making for sweet Madison, who had very late-stage cancer. I moved to San Francisco earlier this year, and do have a vet here, but not one I know well. During the traumatizing last 5 days of Maddie's life, Dan was more than willing to consult (and console) me over the phone, in what amounted to hours of cell phone airtime. He also took time to review x-rays emailed from my vet in SF so he could better understand our situation and offer a second opinion. What makes all this even more impressive is that Dan was on a business trip while we were corresponding, and this meant he had to contact me from hotel lobbies and while on the road. Despite the communication hurdles, Dan made an extraordinary effort to respond promptly and give Madison's situation his time, attention and thought. Dan's dedication to the animals he doctors and the animal parents he consults is beyond what I have ever witnessed in a veterinarian. We have been bringing our pets (cats and guinea pigs) to Spring Creek for care since we moved to Jackson in 2013. There are very few places that will care for an 'exotic' guinea pig and Dr. Dan Forman at Spring Creek is incredibly knowledgeable with these little guys and we wouldn't trust anyone else. Everyone we've seen while caring for all of our pets have been amazing, they give us all the information we need to make informed decisions. Even with the restrictions due to COVID the communication with the staff has been top notch. Earlier this year one of our cats was having trouble and the vet who cared for her called me and send text messages - during and after the care - to check in and make sure she was improving. I have been very happy with all of our visits to Spring Creek for the past 13+ years and multiple pets. Dan and MJ and the crew go out of their way to make sure you are up to date on everything that needs attention with your pet and treat them as if they were their own. AND THEN, this spring our cat was attacked by a pair of very large dogs. It was amazing he survived the first surgery and multiple infections and surgery's there after. Dr. Carla Barker took over his case and she was amazing. It took almost 2 1/2 months of back an forth and she never missed a beat. The multiple calls, updating us on our options, after hours work, insurance paper work. A+ work. We really thank Carla and all of the vets at Spring Creek. Thank you all so much! read more

I'm incredibly perplexed by some of the reviews received here. I have to completely disagree with the negativity of Spring Creek and I have multiple reasons as to why. In 2012, two days before my birthday, my little man Barkley (dog) was attacked and killed by wolves in Hoback. After an extensive search, and to my complete surprise, we found his little self a few days later. (He died from a broken neck. I guess the wolves dropped him when we fired the gun trying to get him back before they got him.) Having managed a local restaurant for many years, I've had the pleasure of knowing Dan and MJ for some time. Spring Creek had been Barkley's care provider essentially his entire life. When Dan found out about the attack, he asked me everyday how I was doing and if there had been any luck in locating him. When he found out I had found him a few days later, he immediately jumped in and asked what I would like to do for final burial and offered me their services of cremation. The focus in care toward me and my little man was surpurb and more than I could have ever asked for. Between deciding cremation was the best option, me dropping him off, the intervening time, and picking him up; Dan was there through the entire process. Dan made it his personal task in taking care of final processes for Barkley, chose a beautiful box for him, and immortalized his paw print for me in clay (something I wasn't even in the frame of mind to think about). I couldn't be more grateful to him and his entire staff for their support and care through the loss of the most important little furball to me on the planet. He was my kid through and through. Fast forward to today. I have my maniac girl Moon. When the folks at Spring Creek heard of her arrival into my home, they celebrated with me the whole way. She, of course, has had all of her medical needs met by this wonderful hospital; from shots to surgery. And when Moon was attacked by a friends dog, they were immediately available to get her in tip top shape. They called every few days to check on her progress and ALWAYS have animal and human health and interests at heart. They are a great group of people and doctors. It saddens me to know that when I move at the end of the year, I won't have this team to look after my girl. Who knows, I may have to travel here specifically for Moon's health care! Obviously, I highly recommend this team of doctors, techs, kennel, grooming, and office personnel. I haven't been to the hospital but their dog care service was great. We were in Jackson on Sunday and most everything was ether closed or their operating hours was weird. I left a message in the messaging service for their day care service and got a call back right away. I herd from Mark and he was very helpful and went out of his way to help us out. The was very understanding of our situation and helped us out. The price of this place was also very reasonable. read more

Last Saturday, my husband and I woke up to our smallish beagle/terrier mutt shaking and unwilling to move (obviously in pain). After learning that none of the Teton Valley vets (we live in Victor) could see him, we called the Spring Creek emergency number. They were able to see him immediately. I was extremely impressed with the entire staff at Spring Creek... while very professional, they really cared about our little guy's situation. He responded accordingly. He's usually nervous and snappish with vets.... but the vet and tech that handled him were so calm and thoughtful, he trusted them right away. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly and correctly.... our pooch is happy and healthy now. I have been so happy with all of our visits to Spring Creek Animal Hospital! I know my four legged kids get the best of treatment whether it be a routine yearly check up, grooming (Robyn is the BEST in town!) or urgent care and follow up treatments! We came to this Veterinary office because our favorite Vet Tech Sumayah Emmons started working here and my big & tough dog with fear issues was most comfortable with her in the room. Since we moved to this Vet Clinic all of our expectations have been surpassed! I appreciate the diversity of treatment options available, and the upfront pricing of procedures and treatments available AND the patients everyone has always given me while I decide what will best work for my kids while considering my budget. I truly appreciate the patience my dog with fear issues receives as well as my big Newfoundland. Robyn truly is wonderful with grooming my big Newfoundland and he is always happy to see her for his bath visits! Dr. Kathrin does an awesome job with my big dog with fear issues!!! Overpriced vet care...I guess if you are wealthy and want fancy, this is the place to be. I had a very sick dog....they just ran test after test without really thinking through a proper diagnosis. After urging from one of my clients, I went to Ernie Patterson and for much less cost, plus less stress on the dog, he figured it out. read more

We were traveling from North Carolina to Wyoming & beyond with our dog KD. While near Jackson we noticed a growth in her mouth. We called Spring Creek and quickly got an appointment with Dr. Dan. We were very impressed with his understanding of our situation and he took so much time explaining our options. The next day they were able to accommodate our travel schedule & perform surgery and clean her teeth. We couldn't believe how well she looked when we picked her up that afternoon, despite having surgery! Dr. Dan then met with us again and did not hurry us out, but answered all our concerns. Everyone on Spring Creek's staff was excellent and we owe them all a huge hug! We continued on our trip and all records will be sent to our NC home veterinarian (Dr. Dan said to call him anytime we needed advise). By far the best and most professional vet I've used. This was the first clinic I used when I got my puppy and have since moved and had to find another vet. Not only were the other places impersonal and very sales driven in their recommendations, but the vet seemed more concerned with making money than building a relationship with the patient. I was so pleased with my visit to the spring creek animal hospital!! I own a chinchilla (she's four-years-old), and I brought her in just for a check up since I just work at a ranch in Wyoming and I saw online they have an exotic vet there. I saw Dr. Dan, who is very well knowledgeable when it comes to chinchillas and other small animals. He was so nice and gave me great advice on how to keep her healthy. He also checked inside her mouth to see how her teeth were doing (which when I brought her to a vet a year or two ago they did't even try to look at her teeth). I brought her back about two weeks later so she could get her teeth trimmed and everything went perfectly! He really cares about the health of your pet and he even let me come back to see her as she was waking up after being put to sleep for the operation. One of the vet techs, Val Wallace, was so friendly when we came in for the visit and even gave me directions on how to make homemade treats for my chinchilla! I met with another vet tech but I can't remember her name but her and everyone else I saw both times I came in were just as nice and helpful as Dr. Dan! I 100% recommend this place if you ever have a sick pet or want to make sure your pet is being taken care of properly while you are on vacation. :) read more

We boarded our two Bichon Frises there on one night. When we dropped them off, they were healthy and in good spirits. When we picked them up, our male dog was extremely stressed, vomiting, and had bloody diarrhea. While I understand this can happen to dogs when boarded, I was not pleased with how they handled the situation. Our dog has been boarded before (and was just boarded again recently at another facility) and has never been this stressed from the experience. We left their crate with some towels with them while they were boarded at Spring Creek. When we picked them up, there was dried vomit on the towels. We were the ones that discovered the vomit. It was never brought to our attention that either of them had vomited or was stressed in any way. They just handed over our dogs and left. When I called later to inquire, they said they were not aware of the vomit and sometimes dogs just get stressed. This was a basic care that was neglected. They should have noticed the vomit, and removed the soiled towels, or at the very least, brought it to our attention. If they were neglecting basic care, it concerns me what else they may have neglected. read more

We moved here recently and asked around for a great veterinarian which led us to Spring Creek Animal Hospital. Our Alaskan Malamute mix was having skin issues and with the help of Dr. Dan and his staff they were able to get this under control. We always felt that we were well educated with the explanations and choices for treatment that were provided. Since then we have also had our Puggle and kitten in for checkups. The special "Feline" room at Spencer Springs is amazing and our little girl was much more relaxed during her exam than we have seen her in the past at other facilities. We feel the cost for services is on target with other top notch facility's that we have used in other areas. Our 4 legged kids have spent some time here boarding as well and they always come back looking happy and healthy. The staff sends pictures of them during their stay and we find this very relieving and makes it easier leaving them when we must. read more

Most dishonest and overpriced vet in western Wyoming. I brought in a cat that had been attacked by dogs and was told it would cost 800 dollars for surgery. When I came back to pick up the cat, the owner told me the cat did not survive the surgery. And that the bill was now 1600 dollars because he brought in a special surgeon, without consulting me first to see if i could afford this. I was stuck with this bill or he said he would bring me to collections. What a great day, a dead cat and 1600 dollars in the hole. read more

I have used Spring Creek Animal Hospital since they opened over 20 years ago. They treat your pets like they belong to them. The care my animals have received has been extraordinary. The vets know when to send a dog or cat on to a specialist or when they can tend them in house. When the end of life comes, the compassion from the whole staff is as good as it gets. Our standard poodle was attacked by a moose last weekend. Spring Creek's emergency, round the clock care of him saved his life. They have the only post surgical critical care in the valley including a high oxygen recovery cage. The entire staff has been wonderful including the nurses and techs that provide him care all night. What a blessing this team of dedicated professionals are. While our dog isn't out of the woods, we could couldn't have asked for better, more caring, or more capable care. read more

While traveling in a camper with a Border Terrier puppy, we visited SCAH and received the best care and VIP treatment. Dr. Dan Forman was professional and compassionate. We were so pleased with his attention and care for Bevan, even though we were just travelers and not locals. Dr. Barno showed compassion and professionalism when dealing with us. She answered all of our questions in detail and provided a step by step plan that was both based on the latest scientific evidence as well as being practical. Spring Creek Animal Hospital is the very best and the staff is the most caring people I've ever met. When we humans must leave town for whatever reason and you don't want to worry about your pet, their boarding facility is the place to go. They get better care and attention than they would have received at home. I had an out of town emergency and they found me a spot at the last minute, sent me pic's via cell phone. When advised that my dog loves her belly kissed- they didn't even hesitate (my god! were do they find there staff...) warmed up her food and made a "cave" with her blankets so she would be warm, just like I do. They made my unexpected trip really worry free. I also, had the good fortune to work with them during a near fatal incident with my pet, "Peeve". Dr. Forman was called at 11pm and he was at his office within 10 minutes of the call. He saved my dogs life, having to repair a broken snout and other facial injuries. Talk about the "MacGuyver's" of vet medicine, he had to get very creative making doggy dental braces to hold her jaw and snout together. My only real experience was during the euthanasia of my 13 year old dog, on a Saturday afternoon 3 weeks ago. He was in respiratory distress, which I explained over the phone en route. When I arrived, there was nobody around, but the vet's car was parked outside. My dog was given the euthanasia drug, without sedation first, which was terribly cruel. When I questioned the situation, the vet told me it would cost more. While I was loading my dead dog into the back of my car, sobbing, she insisted that I give her a credit card for the $200 plus bill, that involved about 15 minutes of service. (Having been in the middle of a hike with the dog, I had no wallet with me). Three weeks later, I have received no bill. The veterinarian who owns the business called to demand payment, and was insulting and threatening. I would not recommend this business to any pet owner. The care is poor. Their billing practices are trashy. read more
