I was awakened by Ventura Police knocking at my door & my Chihuahuas responding at ~1AM due to a…read moreneighbor's call that I was disturbing the peace with loud machinery throughout the night, & keeping her awake. Police quickly understood the neighbor was experiencing mental health issues. They handled things tactfully. ---- On another occasion I called them when I heard sounds in the night that might have been an intruder. They arrived timely & searched the area. (No intruder.) I don't live in a fancy part of town, and the police seem to be doing their work efficiently.

Your job is to serve the public. Another time we were hit by another vehicle and they refused to send out an officer, even though we were completely blocking an intersection. The building is very well kept and has attractive landscaping. Inside is a small lobby and a desk protected by safety glass. The young man behind the counter wasn't able to give me the exact information I was looking for, however they did get me a phone number of who I could call and that worked out just fine. It's a quiet town and it was a quiet day so I didn't have to wait in line and didn't have to wait to get help. In and out and it was a quick and easy visit. Very happy with their service.
